…or you could own a little shoe store and try breaking down a shipping box only to have the corner of the box fly into your eyeball at 95 mph. Two months after my initial injury appt, I told my eye Dr. it felt like my cornea was being ripped away by my eyelid in the mornings. She nailed it. (Not my eyelid, but what was wrong. LoL.) The gel drops before bed didn’t work. Regular lubricating drops work best upon awakening. Preservative-free…not sure if it’s fresh after only one drop a day before each dropper is emptied.

Doctor, I am facing this issue from last 25 years.
Lubricating ointment CAN avoid this for some days or months.
Is there any permanent solution ?

Well, mine is more embarrassing. Made a sandwich for lunch before work, I was really hungry when i made it, so i went to take a bite witu a ziploc in the same hand and the very very sharp corner of the ziplock zipper poked me right in the eye. 3 scratches on my cornea. Been probably close, if not already, a year now. It doesnt flare up as much as it used to, but my god when it does its debilitating
