Thank you for sharing. I stopped Berberine a couple months ago because I didn’t think it was working. Since then, my blood sugars have also gone a bit wacky so I started back up.
Hello sir, you got a new subscription here. I also have type 2 for about 20 + years, I have been taking insulin for over 28years now, but then I continue to gained weight, went from 200lb to 300 lbs. But now I started taking berberine for a while now, and I'm eating low carb and very low carb diet, things have improved for me, and my blood sugar has improved a lot. Please, keep up the good work and never give up the good fight , bless you!🙏🤗👍
Hi Sal! I used to take berberine but I stopped because I wasn't being consistent. I'm going to try it again because my doctor says my liver numbers are a little elevated. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on berberine and how it helps with your blood sugar. Hope you are in good health 🙏
Berberine does lower blood sugar. But to work best, it probably also requires laying off the sugar, white flour, and ultra processed foods. You can substitute them with real whole foods, protein, and healthy fats.
I had psoriasis for 25 years on the back of my head. I listened to a video from Dr Berg about Vitamin A and how some people can’t convert data carotene into the active form of vitamin A. He recommended taking vitamin A. Cheap. I bought it with coconut oil as the carrier oil. I noticed a difference in just a few days and after 3 weeks my psoriasis was completely healed and has never come back.
@@Teacher_Sal I had my blood work done and my vitamin D3 was really good. That was the mystery. Everything came back in optimal range which is what you want…not just within the normal range 👍 Thanks for your comment. The more information given will help someone else

Suggest you try green smoothie based on your BMI, which would be 3 glasses a day, suggest you check Freedom from diabetes channel , smoothie recipe. Carbs not to exceed 50 gms a day and start intermittent fasting. Start gradually with just 2 meals a day for a week, then one meal a day for a week and then skipping meal for entire day or more, based on your tolerance level. But if you are on medication to control your blood sugars, consult your doctor before you start intermittent fasting once as there is a chance your blood sugar levels may drop beyond normal limit. Also check blood pressure. Anti gravity excercises 2 hours post meal like climbing stairs atleast 300 steps at one time, but please wear some knee support when you do this. Jogging or running, makes your body more insulin sensitive. Muscle building excercises, but not very heavy weights. Reducing BMI ( Body mass index) to 23 , most important burning out visceral area fat, bringing waste below 40 inches. Not easy, but if you have determination, nothing is impossible. Also muscle building excercises, stay away from milk products . For some months switch to complete vegan diet, to prevent acidity which in turn reduces internal inflammation. Stay away from processed meat if still you feel like consuming, but initially for 4 months, if you can avoid non veg, it would be good for you. Cook in extra virgin Olive oil. God bless.
The one thing I have found that impacts psoriasis is drinking alcohol. I stopped drinking 9 months ago and since then my psoriasis has virtually disappeared.
Folks, I just lost 25 Kg and got out from Type2 pre-diabetes. It took only a half year. I take berberine and metformin, but the key is intermittent fasting. It works! I Still have to lose 40 more Kg (I'm still very obese) but my bloodwork and my health is great now. I feel great! Please check it out, there are great resources.
If I lost 40 kilos I'd probably be at my ideal weight lol. Really happy that I'm down to 160 kg from a peak of 172 kg and I've put on a lot of muscle, so the change in weight is fat loss and muscle gain.
Metformin is terrible for you. Long term severe side effects on mitochondria, b12 absorption, immune system etc. don’t play with metformin. Berberine will give you the same results and it is natural with very rare non-treating side effects if any at all.
Hi. I was taking what all the research said, from memory 500mg, 3 times a day. Yes. It helped. It works on many levels. With blocking carbs and on ATP to name a few....
Looks like you've got a lot of good advice coming in here. I would say the same thing, get off the sugar and carbs, go to whole foods. Fatty liver is nothing to take lightly. I lost my 43 year old daughter (special needs, blind w/Autism and type 2 diabetes) last year, because of Cirrhosis of the liver. Her doctor dropped the ball on her. When her liver enzymes were a little elevated they said they would keep an eye on it. They didn't and by the time she had an ultra sound done, her fatty liver had went to full blown Cirrhosis. She only lived 3 years after that diagnoses. It's the silent killer. Please take heed while you still can. Best wishes...
@donnaveirs8930 Sorry to hear that...I have lost a lot of weight since this video. I have also had fatty liver for 30 years, so I should be ok... Regardless, us Italians have got religion...lol But seriously, I am exercising and eating mostly a healthy Mediterranean diet...

@JanaKainz Leaky gut, also known as increased intestinal permeability, is a condition that has been recognized in medical research, but its exact role and impact on health are still debated. What is Leaky Gut? Leaky gut refers to a situation where the lining of the intestines becomes more permeable than usual, allowing larger, potentially harmful particles (like toxins, undigested food, and bacteria) to pass from the gut into the bloodstream. Normally, the intestinal lining serves as a barrier, allowing nutrients to be absorbed while keeping out potentially harmful substances. What Does Science Say? The concept of leaky gut is well-established in some conditions. For example, it is widely accepted in medical research that increased intestinal permeability is associated with certain autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, such as Crohn’s disease, celiac disease, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Studies have shown that people with these conditions often have greater intestinal permeability than those without them. However, the idea that leaky gut is a cause, rather than an effect, of these diseases-and that it could be the root cause of unrelated health issues, like fatigue, brain fog, skin problems, or joint pain-is more controversial. While some researchers believe that increased permeability may contribute to a range of health issues, this view has not been universally proven, and more research is needed. Controversy and the "Myth" Element Some skepticism around leaky gut comes from the fact that it's often promoted in the wellness industry without strong scientific backing for many of its supposed effects. Supplements and "cures" for leaky gut are commonly marketed with claims that they can treat a wide range of issues, which isn't strongly supported by current evidence. Current Consensus Most doctors and scientists agree that intestinal permeability exists and plays a role in certain diseases. However, the broader idea of leaky gut as the underlying cause of a wide array of symptoms and conditions remains a topic of ongoing study. At this time, mainstream medicine accepts increased intestinal permeability as a real phenomenon, but there's no consensus that it is the root cause of unrelated chronic health issues. Managing Gut Health While there is no proven cure for leaky gut, a healthy lifestyle, balanced diet, and possibly avoiding known gut irritants like processed foods, alcohol, and certain medications (like NSAIDs) can support general gut health.

Hello Mate!! 😊😂. I just purchased Berberine. I’m a little nervous about using it!! What is the proper way to take it?? Before a meal, at night before bed?? What is your recommendation?? Thanks!! From USA (New Jersey)
The recommended dosage is 500mg, 3 times a day. You have to work up to it though, I only take 1000 mg a day. Always check with your doctor before you do anything. Probably best 30 minutes before meals because it has a carbohydrate blocking effect as well...
Have you tried dihydroberberine? I’ve been trying to research berberine and that is the form that was recommended to avoid side effects. I personally feel like over use of prescription drugs are a huge problem and subtle or non subtle put the body out of balance little by little from when we are young until we have problems as adults. Some drugs are absolutely necessary some are not.
Never eat anything adter 8 'O clock in the evening. It also depends when in the day you go for a run, i run in the mornings, so i will take my berine after my run, and just before i eat my very small dinner. But you must do something active, i never hear that one use it for a skin condition, you was misinformed with regards to that. But please start doing some activity with the berberine. I lost a lot of weight very slowly, but if i want to eat something special, i will do that, it is not a concentration setup or jail, enjoy the journey. ❤
great video brother just eat meat for dinner and salad for lunches and skip breakfast but if you do eat breakfast just do eggs and a Hamberger patty and only snack on cheese or walnuts if you really need to ,, anyways God bless you and keep positive k
Women with poor nutritional status who are post menopausal should use extreme caution with berberine. I had the experience of abnormal vaginal bleeding from berberine because of nutritional deficiencies, primarily vitamin k as I don’t consume enough leafy green vegetables. I am also deficient in b vitamins and magnesium. I am continuing with my multivitamins to treat my deficiencies, but have stopped the Berberine with the result that my bleeding has stopped. Berberine does affect your hormones. It lowers estrogen and raises progesterone, which I assume is part of the reason for my bleeding.
Also, thining of the vaginal wall I believe is side affect of less female hormones in menopause.... I'm not sure Berberine factors into that equation...
@@Teacher_Sal My estrogen is slightly higher due to my excess weight so that isn’t an issue, but my nutritional deficiencies are because lack of several vitamins can cause bleeding.
@@Teacher_Sal I read the results of a study online. I searched the terms ‘berberine and hormones’. One of the purposes of this study was to determine berberine’s effect on fertility in females. The study results were a rise in FSH and progesterone as well as a decrease of LH and estrogen.
Hi, I started on a good Berberine and had developed an ear ache....nothing to do with the Berberine I'm sure...but for the first time I was told by a nurse my blood sugars was high!! Caught me off guard I would have thought lower... anyway, not sure what to think of it all. Yeah get the thing about the heat, I'm in Australia too !
What is your diet like? Look at your diet. Cut ou5 sugar , processed foods, carbs. More meat, eggs, wild caught salmon, sardines, eat organic food, if possible. Start walking everyday, if you can.
Xylitol is better than sugar or fake sugar and it actually helps your teeth to dispel plaque that sticks to it. Also I take Ivermectin regularly and it helps with skin conditions. @@janasiguenza1545 Try telling that to us Italians! Lol 😆
Please check Dr Jason Fung. The cod of obesity till is not late🙏👍
@tersiaraath799 Yeah I am active...I am in pain this morning from Bench Press! Lol. No, I use Berberine for diabetes. Still on it...
I have a fatty liver, insulin resistance, and pre-diabetic. I was diagnosed a few days ago. I feel scare. I'm 250 pounds have to lose 100😮
Losing the weight will make a huge difference...
I have PCOS I take berberine for 5moths but I take a break from it cause I do my research on it they said it safe to take for 4 too 6 months
I have lot of questions
great video brother just eat meat for dinner and salad for lunches and skip breakfast but if you do eat breakfast just do eggs and a Hamberger patty and only snack on cheese or walnuts if you really need to ,, anyways God bless you and keep positive k

Interesting... Do you have scientific articles to support your hypotheses? Please post a link..
@@blatevola01 it it decreases estrogen would it be recommend for people with pcos
It takes several weeks to start working properly. Stress raises blood sugars as does sickness...
Thank you for your reply....I'd actually been on Berberine for about 2 months? Just didn't make any sense???
Berberine didn't know works like Metformin it'll take about 1% off your Hba1c
Teacher Sal I am going back on the Berberine...will let you know how it goes. Thank you Teacher Sal x
What is your diet like? Look at your diet. Cut ou5 sugar , processed foods, carbs. More meat, eggs, wild caught salmon, sardines, eat organic food, if possible. Start walking everyday, if you can.
More meat and eggs? You just described diet that got me to almost 300 pounds.
Xylitol is better than sugar or fake sugar and it actually helps your teeth to dispel plaque that sticks to it. Also I take Ivermectin regularly and it helps with skin conditions. If you can't get it prescribed go to the feed store and get the horse stuff. It works. And the plunger part has the pounds marked off if you take too much that's okay it's one of the safest drugs you can ever take
Xylitol is awesome stuff, not sure about the other one....
does berberine make you feel nauseous tho?
Start on one 500mg tablet a day and work your way up... I guess it's possible... Some gastrointestinal effect's but it's very well tolerated...
Welcome to my channel Lisa, thanks for subscribing 😉
I've heard that it's best to have it with food if you are having issues with nausea, stomach cramps, bloating etc. Or try dihydroberberine.
Protein and veggies very small meals every couple hours. It will surprise you the weight will come off and you will feel better.
@Rough-Crocheter Hi, thanks for subscribing....I need some carbs because I have reactive Hypoglycemia....
@@Teacher_Sal in 2003 my blood sugars were very, very low (I’m in USA) below 60’s even had an 11. That one put me in the ER.
For me I started protein and veggies after a long time of trying different things. However, what works for one person may or may not work for others and it’s a life style change what we do we need to be able to do for the long term.
Thank you for sharing your journey.
If you take dihydroberberine, it is absorbed quicker and more effectively than just berberine. Also, if you can take it in combination with Ceylon cinnamon and Bitter Melon extract, it gives even more benefits and is far easier on the digestive tract.
I too have psoriasis and over the past 50 yrs have tried most medicines, with varying degrees of effectiveness. Last year I tried Tremfya and what a game changer … no more psoriasis!
Good luck with your journey …
Dihydroberberine gives me a headache 😫
Avoid Carbs
I’m definite addicted to carbs. If I allow sweets, bread, potatoes, all the usual carbs, I always want more. I immediately start gaining weight, but my mind plays a happy tune saying a dish of ice cream won’t hurt a thing! That is an irrational thought . Of course a dish of ice cream will hurt! So will the bun on your sandwich, and the baked potato. Why do I put myself through this misery time and again?
Did you stop the testosterone therapy? And why did you if you did?
Hi Carlos. No I did not stop testosterone, I just increased my eostrogen blocker tablet regularity. See my other videos...
Celtic salt has minerals in it and it will penetrate the cell with magnesium and help to spell the extra water weight. Look up Dr Barbara O'Neill a naturalist doctor
If it helps with blood sugars why would a person want to stop taking it
I thought it affected my psoriasis. I am back on it.
look at removing all of the processed seed oils from your diet to reduce inflammation and creation of body fat + insulin resistance.
look at low carbohydrates (like Ketogenic) to lose weight, with some intermittent fasting to burn body fat.
I lost 49 pounds in six months, easily.
B1 and milk thistle will help the psoriasis too.
If you drink alcohol & if you smoke, stop … fast 2 to 3 times a week, complete fast no water too if you can, walk 10,000 fast steps the day you don’t fast, see how things will change rapidly
Sal, i hope you've discovered carnivore. 90% carnivore here; 1500mg of berberine/day for 2.5 months, A1C down from 10 to 7 and still improving.

Hi from Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺 😊
Hey lay off the high carbs beans and bread are horrible for blood sugars. Thanks
I agree with everything you said except for the beans part..
If you have a blood sugar tester try on an empty stomach test glucose then eat beans then an hour later check glucose. This is a great test to find what foods cause a rise in glucose. Hey I like lots of foods that I hAve given up. Pasta potatoes milk bread and any starchy foods. Best to you brother. Thanks. Ricky 💥
RUclipsr compared all berberine brand products & most aren't what they claim. DONOTAGE and Solaray in top 5 best ones
Eat right, low or no carb. Eat proteins and vegs, learn how to turn your carbs i to resistant starches. Take sugar defender or hydroberberberine. But most of all eat right.
Eat breakfast like a king. You won't feel so hungry the rest of the day.
Yeah, can't handle a big breakfast. Eating protein helps though...

Self discipline works better than any magic pill. Get that right then the supplements will work optimally, get it wrong and you’re just throwing money down the drain. Wish it were that simple.... My shot of vitamin D, D creams and weight loss has immensely and immediately helped....
Do you take magnesium with the vitamin D ?
Also if I were you, I'd look into GlyNac and Taurin supplementation. Take a look at Psysionic channel here on youtube . Glynac and taurine doesn't directly promote weight-loss, but should lower inflamation, regulate blood sugars etc. Theres so many benefits that you'll be amazed and the science seems pretty solid. 😊 I wish you health and the best
