Could have slowed down the small letter also. I didnt know until the other day watching a ricmoa video. You can use a button on that spot when you select colors. It’s called LOW on the right side on the panel next to the 8. Kind of looked like the bottom of the E had more density the the rest of the letter. That really was the only spots that would have drove me nuts. But over all guys good video for sure.

I’ve also heard other say the same thing.
I’ve heard a bunch of things. The thing about stuff that you hear is none ever shows anything they just talk. I haven’t had any of my 8 machines finish an entire job either no bobbin and I’ve never heard that. You should make a video. I’d love to see it. I show my machine embroidering all the time I don’t talk about anything without proving. Congrats on your new machines btw. Good for you. Hope you make tons of money. Let me know if you are able to post that video. I’d love to see your machine embroider out an entire design with no bobbin thread. That just sounds insane.
Great video! It's all about knowing your machine and settings. looks like the only real difference is the push pull comp on the satin stitches! Easy tweak! I would also remove the trims between the small letters!
Love your videos. I also own a Ricoma EM-1010, Ricoma MT-1501 and a Barudan BEKT 15 needle. I do a ton of LC logos for complanies and I will say that my Ricoma and my Barudan do an equally great job on the same design. You just have to have your machine "dialed in"! Hi I’m looking into buying my first embroidery machine from Ricoma I see a lot of good YT videos on them but when I go to Reddit or instagram it’s always people saying stay away from them and get a Barudan,Tajima, or ZSK. After more research it’s seems like every company has there own issues 🤦🏾♂️. So I was wondering if you could tell me really quick on your experience with ricoma and barudan.
@@pricejohnson872 It's all about learning and getting your tension dialed in on each machine. I had my Ricomas first and I personally thought that they are easy to learn. That said, not everyone learns the same hence all the complaints. Most people purchase a machine and don't know a thing about embroidery and just think it is plug and play with no effort from them. You need to use the correct stablizers for the projects and adjust your tensions accordingly. I like my Barudan as well however there are not many videos on showing people how to do things. My best advise on whichever brand you choose is to Never Give Up. You can have frustrating days and you just need to keep at it and you will prevail. Best of Luck.

I’m fairly new to embroidery (under 4 years) I’m now running 2 Barudan Pro 3’s, they are only a few thousand more than the Ricoma 1501, so I had to choose a machine with a longer track record. Your stitch out did look good and with a few tweaks in the software file on those small letters the average person would never see the difference.
i’m going into my third year myself and learned on a Ricoma and the person who trained me advised me to get a barudan because i was targeting hats and small text. almost any machine can be set up to do hats and small text well but i do notice a difference particularly when doing 3d foam or certain types of fonts. Also i’d really like to know how well a ricoma holds up overtime as i always hear about how great the customer service is, i see my tech once a year and put on average 300-500 k stitches per head a day 6 days a week. newer an issue even on my older 2007 model single heads. You see very few commercial businesses running 6-12 heads of ricoma even though the price is tens of thousands cheaper than barudan. not sure if you can take on the work load needed to justify such a purchase and not know the reliability overtime. growing your business requires great quality not average as some may think. Embroidery is getting very competitive now days. Better save then sorry.
Smaller weight thread and needle weight for very small text. However, he used (questionable) the same design on both machines and they came out different, dispite the designs seemingly looking different and on different material, Camparing machines output must always be on the same material. You have to make adjustments to tension and file if the media is different.

My mentor keeps telling me to get a tajima but I see all your work on the Ricoma and I think it’s about how you use it. Was it that the file needed to be digitized better?
I don’t think so. I think it’s just the guy maybe didn’t hoop his hat right or maybe the needle needed to be changed on his machine or the thread. Could have been a bunch of things. I’ve used Tajima’s don’t believe the hype they are no better. Tell you mentor to send me the file. Lmao.
I use a Tajima everyday at work & have a ricoma. No disrespect to the owner of this video but you’re bugging to even compare Ricoma & Tajima. Tajima runs laps around a Ricoma. And I also use a Melco & Barudan and they run laps around the Ricoma as well. I do understand you’re an affiliate and you’re being loyal but you know the truth. You can get the best Ricoma and I can get the worse Tajima & it’ll smoke the ricoma. It’s no disrespect my brother but I’m just keeping it real.
@FilmedInDaCity @FilmedInDaCity Talk is cheap, send me the file. I show and prove while everyone just talks and all you are doing is talking. Send me the file. I strongly disagree. I run my machines everyday and make tons of money with them. I’ve ran a brand new Tajima before for hours and was not impressed. It did not perform any better than my two head Ricoma. The argument to me is silly because it’s not financially responsible to pay more money to embroider the same design. We are selling our products for the same price and your customer does not care what machine the hat or shirt came off of. No one cares. Keep on paying twice to make the same $. Good luck with that. All I have to say is send me the file. Talk is cheap. SEND ME THE FILE. adubbproductions@gmail.com
I would love to see 👀 the shop where they have a Ricoma, Melco, Tajima and a Baradan in the same shop. It sounds like a very confusing place to get orders done. I would hate working there. I feel bad for you. Sounds like torcher. Makes no sense honestly speaking. Would be so much easier having the same machines. Sounds like they are more interested in collecting machines than making money. I’m trying to make money. They are trying to spend more money to produce the same product. We are not the same. I’d love to see the shop with all these different brand machines but I know it will never happen. What other embroidery machines do they have? I’ll entertain you, send me a file and I’ll embroider it out and we can compare. That’s what really matters. I’m always ready for a stitch out.
I ran Tajima at my first job, I was there for 12 years before going out on my own. I personally own a Ricoma. They’re both great machines. Tajima is a little better but Ricoma is a strong competitor
I can only go by what the guy told me. I’ve never heard anyone determine what program a file was digitized in based on its looks. You have a unique talent. What does a chroma luxe digitized file look like?
@@adubbproductions The problem when you get a digitizing done in another program, chroma Luxe breaks the design in to many pieces and number are all off. I have chroma luxe and I have to deal with this issue when I have other people digitize designs for me.

I love my Recoma mt1502! Thanks for the videos, A DUBB be putting me up On game....I call my machine a money printer. When it's running all I can picture is money being printed....
Great comparison and showing the stitch outs and your file adjustments. I’m sure if you tweaked the digitizing more that the stitch out will be even more crisp. But even just the original file stitched out on your machine is top notch. At a certain point the law of diminishing marginal returns starts to kick in. You might get 1% incremental improvement in quality, but have to shell out 30% more to get that incremental gain and it doesn’t make economical sense to do so
Were does it say an Barudan cost 30% more then a Ricoma? they cost $18.5k and were did he prove the ricoma sewed the same as a 20 plus year old machine? we only saw the results of a file adjustment and sew out one the ricoma, have him send the updated file to the Barudan owner and see how it sews on that old machine. or of your feeling froggy send it to me.
@@norcalembroidery1626 $13k vs 18.5k is a 30% difference. You can plug the numbers into a calculator. No need to get defensive and get your feelings hurt
I just bought a Barudan Pro3 for $20k delivered with an extra cap frame and 1 day of on-site training since I already own an embroidery business (leaving Melco for Barudan). Knowing what I know now, I would have bought a Barudan to begin with...
@@papo7936 I could not successfully sew a Richardson 112 to save my life on the EMT-16x. No matter how I adjusted the top or bottom tension, I got constant looping. Fast forward to my Barudan....all of my issues left with the Melco. I never have to adjust the tension on my Pro3 and it sews 112s consistently & beautifully even 3D puff comes out great!
@@papo7936 in order to get a digitized machine file with Melco, you have to find a digitizer that provides .ofm format. However, everyone digitizes DST and EMB formats.
I think the Barudan looks better. But it may be due to the fact you stitched out on a structured vs a visor. For me, when removing the underlay, smaller letters stitch out better. Overall your design was good, you rushed it but I know if you took your time on the digitizing and maybe slowed the machine down your results would have been just as good. $10K extra for a single head is definitely not worth the money. Great video as always though! Appreciate the content
Honestly the digitizing matter a lot and the material u r embroidering on.. and paying 15k on a Ricoma is dumb in my opinion to begin with anyway just buy a used one there is a bunch for sale for half the price and tons of video to learn how to use it and if u had the opportunity to buy a barudan used for a good price u would to but ur a Ricoma affiliate and they r obviously given u something to promote so hard… no knock but just being real. U get what u pay for… and for some details matter.
for real: How about just producing good looking stuff from scratch to show whats the machine is able to do instead of trying to keep up with other brands? thats the one thing we dont see, you making good looking stuff, everything you do is just in theory for the most part.
@norcalembroidery how about no. your statement is ridiculous considering the fact that I have over 2000 videos on my channel and this is the only one comparing embroidery machines. Really doesn’t make sense. This video was made because other brand machine owners are always in my comments. So invite them to send me their embroider files so we can compare. What is your issue with that? If you don’t like the content there are literally thousands of other channels you can watch on RUclips. Please don’t bring your negative energy over here. Let me make the videos I feel like making and you do the same, Have a great day.
@@adubbproductions I loved that content ur opinion is a bit biased tho considering u have a Ricoma and u r an affiliate … now if u were a barudan owners would u still be trying to compare… also I believe tajima and barudan and zsk r more durable and more forgiving with details than others…. Also I’m all about scaling ur buisness but starting 15 k in debt is wild lol
@dakotaharris5472 No problem. Thank you. I understand why you might feel like that way but this is exactly why I make videos. What you just said is an option. You know the difference between opinion vs watching a video with the thing being done and still calling it an opinion. Idk. Either way it was just a comparison. If i owned a different machine I might still do a video like this if someone asked or questioned how the machine embroidered compared to theirs. Search RUclips, there are people that made videos comparing Melco to ricoma, there is are comparisons comparing Tajima to Ricoma. But when I do one, oh, oh no. It’s an issue when I do it. Why is that? That’s what I wanna know. Help me understand that one.

oh my, this makes the case as to why to invest in a Barudan or something on that level. The 1999 Barudan is so superior to all these machines. Thats the only point I see here is save up and buy better. @aghatcompany is being polite and a good sport. The same operator achieved great quality on the 99 barudan and the Ricoma failed. Thats one heck of a case study imo
No that’s actually not a good point. It’s actually bad business. Both machines products are gonna sell for the same price. From a business perspective it’s not a smart to pay more money to produce the same product.
@@adubbproductions lol 😅 I meannnn, so many people agree based off the comments , but I understand , ricoma over everything if they paid me also or sponsored me
@Mapphotoz No common sense over everything if you see it with your own two eyes. I'm not payed or sponsored. They did not pay me to make this video. I made it because i get trolls from other machine embroidery companies in my comments harassing me because of the machines I chose to buy.

I also say what to feel like say whatever I feel hense my what ricoma does not tell you video. You are obviously new here. But speaking on embroidery machines, None of anything you said matters. You can’t charge more no matter what machine you are using. no customer in the history of customers has ever asked what machine was this made on. Doesn’t happen because they don't care.
Your embroidery looks good 👍🏽
Thank you.
That file looks like it wasn't digitized in chroma luxe.
That is true when you get the . Dst file
Looks good 😊
Thank you. 👍🏾
What needles do you traditionally run on your ricoma's
75/11
That was amazing. The only thing I saw was the bottom E was harder to read. Other than that it was perfect. I am looking at buying a embroidery machine. Right now it is between Ricoma and Happy Japan.
Thank you. Good luck on your journey. If you decide Ricoma use my link and I’ll give you a free 1 hour consultation. Ricoma MACHINE Link ricoma.com/US/referral/allan-wade
Hey Dub… how u got the laser?
I got it from Ricoma’s website. I hardly use it tbh.
Thanks for your honesty. I will save the $$$
My 1501 works great on small details! 65/9 or 60 needles with 60 weight thread.. Great Video!
I gotta try some 60 weight thread. Never tried it. Is it that much thinner?
@@adubbproductions yes great with 65/9 60 needles much clearer small lettering
@@Sweetwarda oh, cool. I’m gonna try it out. Thank you.
I came to ask if Allen had tried 60 wt yet... that makes a difference.
Big Difference with 65/9 60/9 needles. Real Clean!@@psalms91customs
I love my Recoma mt1502! Thanks for the videos, A DUBB be putting me up On game....I call my machine a money printer. When it's running all I can picture is money being printed....
All facts. 👍🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 💴
I have both machines a 2023 barudan and 2020 ricoma and I am testing this theory
Cool can’t wait to see your findings. Please post something so we can see.
@@henryma1734 big sale going on gee i wonder why
I just bought a Barudan Pro3 for $20k delivered with an extra cap frame and 1 day of on-site training since I already own an embroidery business (leaving Melco for Barudan). Knowing what I know now, I would have bought a Barudan to begin with...
@@elohimembroidery interesting. I‘m actually considering buying a melco. Why didn‘t you like it?
@@papo7936 I could not successfully sew a Richardson 112 to save my life on the EMT-16x. No matter how I adjusted the top or bottom tension, I got constant looping. Fast forward to my Barudan....all of my issues left with the Melco. I never have to adjust the tension on my Pro3 and it sews 112s consistently & beautifully even 3D puff comes out great!
@@papo7936 in order to get a digitized machine file with Melco, you have to find a digitizer that provides .ofm format. However, everyone digitizes DST and EMB formats.
@@elohimembroidery Thank you for your response! Do you have any experience with the Ricoma brand?
@@elohimembroidery Amazing! Thanks for your answer. Really helped me to avoid Melco.
Structured hats will produce a crisper image. A barudan single head machine will cost $2000.00 more then the Ricoma not $10,000
Honestly the digitizing matter a lot and the material u r embroidering on.. and paying 15k on a Ricoma is dumb in my opinion to begin with anyway just buy a used one there is a bunch for sale for half the price and tons of video to learn how to use it and if u had the opportunity to buy a barudan used for a good price u would to but ur a Ricoma affiliate and they r obviously given u something to promote so hard… no knock but just being real.
What you watched in the video is not an option. You watched it x it happened. It’s all the way through. You expressed yourself in a articulate manner so I know you are intelligent.
@@adubbproductions it’s becuase ur adubb lol and ur like the hardest Ricoma representative lol like I have nothing against Ricoma if I would’ve seen a deal on one I probably would’ve got one too and repped it hard too haha but I got a Melco for a huuuge steal… but hey to each their own… but love to content brother find more comparisons!!! I’ve been waiting for all the comparisons
Send me the file and we’ll do Melco comparison.
Lol. We can do it but that’s not how this works Sir or Ma’am. This isn’t my file. You send me your file with the .emb and .dst with pictures of it embroidered from your machine. Adubbproductions@gmail.com
All you’re paying for is a name with these high price tags. I have killer stitch outs for my 15 Needle and paid half the price of the 1010…
Hey I'm a mom - you have to answer mom! :)
What was the question?
Barudan wins and I have a RICOMA the other one looks way better small litter
oh my, this makes the case as to why to invest in a Barudan or something on that level.
Definitely the older Barudan did better
barudan won hands down
I don't think so
@@adubbproductions lol 😅 I meannnn, so many people agree based off the comments , but I understand , ricoma over everything if they paid me also or sponsored me
@Mapphotoz No common sense over everything if you see it with your own two eyes. I'm not payed or sponsored. They did not pay me to make this video. I made it because i get trolls from other machine embroidery companies in my comments harassing me because of the machines I chose to buy.
Barudan def still looks better but not 10-15k better
$2k more also the barudan used is 24 years old. nowhere near the quantity as the newer models. but still very impressive for a machine that old.
@@norcalembroidery1626the barudan is 24 years old !!!
@@Innercityprintshop Yea, they run forever.
True or False, are you a Ricoma Influencing Partner? Ricoma can not hold a candle to ZSK, Tajima or Barudan! What you bought is on the lowest end of the commercial embroidery machine scale. It's cheap in cost because it's just that, CHEAP! You know better than to bad mouth Ricoma cause if you do you violate your contract.
Yes I am, I also an icolor, heat transfer warehouse, vexels, amazon, heat press nation influencer also. What is your point? I also say what to feel like say whatever I feel hense my what ricoma does not tell you video. You are obviously new here.
But speaking on embroidery machines, None of anything you said matters. You can’t charge more no matter what machine you are using. no customer in the history of customers has ever asked what machine was this made on. Doesn’t happen because they don't care. I’m proud I payed lass to embroider the same design. The argument is silly. There is nothing you can do on any of those machines that I can’t do on mine. Send the file and I’ll prove you wrong everytime. Less talk more embroidering. Send the file. ill wait.
