      ShawnGS300 it’s really not the snappy like a lot of people say. With the picky extended for the 11 round magazine it’s very easy to control (and conceal) . Same for the 13 round magazine as well. I prefer the hellcat just how it feels in my hands more than the 365 (that’s personal). Hellcat all the way. Choose the one that feels best in your hands.

    Hellcat is to new for some of these categories. Customization and to an extent reliability. I was all set to buy a p365 but I wanted to compare it to a hellcat. For me, ergonomically the p365 is the worst gun i have ever held. Add this to the early failures that sig doesn't own up to but changes things? Hellcat will be my next firearm.

      Even though I'm a big guy and I wear XXL gloves, but I find the P365 very comfortable with the extended 10 round mags. The flush mag is OK with my pinky tucked under the mag and 2 fingers on the grip. I live in Massachusetts, so we can't get the 12 round mags here legally, but I think they might be ideal for my bear paws

    As far as customization when sig came out it took a bit to get the 12 round mag and longer to get the 15 round mag. Holsters were a late arrival. Geez the sig has been out a while wait until the hellcat is out as long and then check availability

  • @Kenneth45
    @Kenneth45 4 года назад +4

    The slide lockback issue is actually the way some shooters hold the gun, your thumb is actually holding the slide release lever down. It has to do with the positioning of the slide release lever and the way some people hold micro-compacts. It's actually not the gun itself. Springfield's other micro's would have the same issue for some shooters. I'm not saying it's "your fault" obviously the slide lock lever placement was Springfield's idea, and if it doesn't work with the way you hold it, then you have every right to prefer the other gun for having it in a place where it doesn't do that.
    But what I don't understand is how Sig comes out on top on customization when Sig has a proprietary accessory rail. Like seriously, I absolutely do not buy any gun now-a-days that requires proprietary accessories. You guys complain about the availability of Hellcat accessories, but you all know that will come in time. With Sig's proprietary rails, nothing will come in time, keep waiting 20 years and it's still proprietary. Honestly there's no excuse for proprietary attachment points now. H&K used to do that BS back in the day when they didn't care what consumers had to say since they were making a killing with government contracts. But even they have realized they cannot get away with it anymore and all their new models come with universal mounting options. Like, even H&K has come around, how is Sig still putting a proprietary mounting system on it? SMFH

    P365 w/ Hogue grip sleeve (or XL grip mod if thats your style), TLR-6, and 12rd mag (add the magguts +2 follower to get the capacity to 14+1)
    will turn this pistol into a beast

      Just like mine. Have you tried any Underwood Xtreme Defenders? They're perfect for short barreled pistols because hollow points don't perform consistently through them, but being "barrier blind" fluted solid copper, they perform consistently well. And their reduced weight can further reduce snappiness.

    The review seemed a bit biased toward the P365. Of course there were less customization options for the Hellcat at the time of the review since it was a brand new gun. In addition on the topic of ergonomics most guys that I have spoken to feel strongly that the Hellcat offers a more full-size feel with a beefier handle. It was very surprising to see the panel vote in favor of the P365. I own the Hellcat FDE OSP and I love it! Good guys, very entertaining, but a bit tilted.

  • @robertkf1
    @robertkf1 4 года назад +13

    I like you guys, but this was somewhat slanted. You give the impression no one wanted to like the Hellcat in the first place, even though two out of three shot it better than the Sig, and one who didn't like the trigger because it wasn't a Sig trigger, even though he shot pretty good with it.
    Comparing, "customization" on a new gun to one that's been in production for awhile and any customization is proprietary is simply unfair. I just got an IWB holster off ebay for the Hellcat, btw.
    Ergos: I've noticed, myself included, the mag on the Sig never drops free, forcing the shooter to either pull the mag out with the off hand and manipulating a loaded mag at the same time, or doing some contortion with the shooting hand. This adds time and an extra step in the process. It's something never mentioned, as if it's not polite. I have to attribute this to the backstrap profile. With the Hellcat, it drops free to facilitate reloading. This, to me, would come under, "functionality" which is the main reason I went with the Hellcat. Also, no semi-auto will lock back if your thumb's resting on the slidelock, so the ding in reliability wasn't fair either, especially considering the issues the P365 had when it was first released. It may not sound like it, but like I said, I like you guys.

I have seen reviewers say that the flat trigger of the Hellcat means nothing to them in a P635 vs Hellcat review, AND THEN turn around and celebrate the flat trigger of the P365 XL in a P365 vs P365 XL review. It's a joke. They're all candyasses for SIG. And for the record, I goddamn love my P365.

      It's not politically correct to like GM products but people still own GM products so your point is moot. I have one of the early versions of the P365 and NEVER had and still don't have any issues and I'm at 3300 rounds steel, brass and aluminum FMJ's and HP's. I bought the SIG Flat trigger and put it on my P365 but there's not a lot of difference in my shooting So I wasted $50.00 IMO. One thing some people are experiencing with the Hellcat is the trigger jamming but it's an easy fix if you know how to use a small fingernail file. Look the issue up on RUclips.

    I actually bought a 365 SAS and have not shot it. nothing available, i wanted either the 365 or the hellcat. once i got the SAS home i realized that you can only point shoot it. no sights (traditional). I am cross eye dominant so lining up the green was gonna be too hard when shooting with my strong hand (left), (yes i can draw and shoot with both but faster with left). So i found a dealer that will swap for new hellcat and i havent looked back. Waiting for it to arrive like a stork carrying a bundled baby to do the swap.

    I own a Sig SP2022 and just absolutely love it, so Im kinda bias on Sig as a whole. When they came out with the P365 I was sold on it just because it was a SIG. Just as the same with Glock fans are partial to the G43. But honestly BOTH are superb fireams, I just like my Sig's.

      you were sold on it just because it’s a Sig? With the two generations of broken strikers, being a Sig is nowadays a negative. Even the 320 has issues. Sig aint what it used to be.

    I have to say I stopped listening after your customization rating and disregarded everything before. You said mags and holsters and such are hard to find for the hellcat yet GAVE it a 8? That isn't honest. It's not anything really bad against the hellcat in time it will be there but right now doesn't deserve an 8 because the stuff just isn't available.
    Based on what I have found here customization should be a 2 or a 3. Even then just because of finding stuff on line but even that is limited.

      I've shot both & carried the 365 before switching to the Hellcat. I also used the glock 43 for about 8 months as my concealed carry before the 365. The Hellcat just fits my hand better & I had more capacity out of the box OEM than the 365. As far as the recoil? I'm not a macho guy. I'm 5'8 & 180lbs. To me neither of these are uncomfortable to shoot nor do I think one is snappier than the other & thats comparing the 365, hellcat & 43 all in the same light. I've done range sessions with each one putting over 250 rounds through each & have never felt beat up. Honestly I think the micro 380's are snappier than any of these 3. But that's just my personal experience. I will say the 43 & glock 48 oem triggers rub the bottom of my trigger finger raw getting a blister after about 150 round sessions. But that is more of a design issue & wouldn't have known unless I got the trigger time behind the slim line glocks. To answer your question though the recoil impulse is a little more even with the 365 vs the hellcat but I've shot the hellcat enough now to learn how to settle the sights down just as fast as with my 365.
