  • Today we are in Cook Forest State Park in Pennsylvania doing the Henry Run Sawmill Dam hike. This is supposedly not a very well known hike in the area and I'm here to take you along on the journey to the waterfall with deer and snakes along the way!

Very nice video we watched before our annual trip to the forest. My wife and I took our 7 year old daughter to see the falls yesterday. The hike was a little bit of a challenge for her, but we took a couple breaks. The falls are well worth the hike.

The dam was built in the 1870's by George Alsbach to run his saw mill.

Traditionally on your first visit you have to submerge yourself in the deep spot below the falls.
No matter what time of year.
I completely made this up- but I hope it catches on😉
