- In todays video I will discuss how to ship orders for a small business and which label printer is the best to use for your e-commerce business. If you are finding a way to ship orders for your small business in the best and cheapest way possible I will go through a couple options that will be useful to you.
I have been running e-commerce businesses for over 9 years now and in that time I have needed to know how to ship orders for a small business and large businesses. This video is going to break down different ways you can ship orders for your own small business.

This video includes how I ship my orders for my e-commerce business:
1) I first had to get the best label printer to use that would be cost effective, because when you are growing a small business you want to make sure you are shipping your orders out in the best way. By using a label printer when my business was a small business I was able to save money on when I ship orders because I do not have to buy ink as label printers use lazer's instead of standard ink
2) I then had to sign up for a Royal mail business account and the reason for this is that I was able to get the labels for free for my label printers which means I do not have to pay for labels any more, not only that with a Royal mail business account, I am able to get my shipping rates cheaper. These are some of the best things to do when you want to ship orders our for your small business.
3) Use an efficient shipping software to ship orders out for your small business: There are many different shipping softwares you can use to ship orders out for your e-commerce business, that is what I will show you how to do step by step in this video.

20 or so years ago, I used to sell DVD/Videos on ebay. I used to print the postage labels using vhs labels lol. I still have 100's of sheets of labels in a drawer from back then. Not sure I could do what I did back then now without ending up in court haha.....but was near on 600% profit markup per item. The post office used to hate me turning up with boxes and boxes of stuff to be send. Now it is just common place.

@@soloblue1459 I have just recently started selling online again using both Dropshipping and self warehoused/stocked items. I have also been importing items from Indonesia (good excuse to travel there every three months at least :) I also run another unrelated service based business which funds the shortcomings of retail... Funnily enough, Just today I have listed 6x4 thermal labels for sale on a few market places, I have a bunch of them I bought wholesale to re-sell as separate items. Kind of fells like 20 years ago, just with a lot smaller margins :/

Hi Sam, a bit confused. So are you not using a fulfilment centre to ship out your orders? Do you get your products from Alibaba and when you receive it you or your staff ship it?
Hi Sam, how do you generate a sales order report in Royal Mail? I'm just stuck on the last part of putting the PPI tags on the grey sacks. Do I have to fill anything out on the RED/GREEN PPI tags or can I just hand in the sacks with the manifest paper?

Do you get free boxes from royal mail when you choose the sizes of the boxes on your their website or do you have to buy boxes separately?

Also why is it free with this label printer and not the other label printers 🤔 what if you have this label printer, but use another label printer to actually do your prints for whatever reason using the free labels given to you due to the other printer, will the free labels still work in other printers. 🤔

You should consider moving away from Dymo printers. They are moving towards printers that only let you use branded labels made by dymo. Their old ones still work with any label but moving forward they could discontinue them so consider things like Rollo or Brother printers.
Buying better equipment for quality purposes, doesnt make you 'look like' a more professional company.. IT MAKES YOU a more professional company 😉
