Hi, I had a similar issue with this printer and was able to fix it in the printer preferences. I hope this helps someone. Printers & scanners > ITPP130 Printer > Printer preferences > Page Setup > Setting > Speed: 8 and Density: 15
From other videos I have seen you can lighten the ink and slow down the speed, that sorts the accuracy out. All the other reviews and videos i have seen have been fantastic. You also recommend a Zebra printer instead but thats £350- which is way too much for me personally. Try adjusting these settings, i hope it works out
Had mine over a year, had this issue once after I tried to print something different and all the settings got changed, changed back the settings and all went back to normal. I imagine that printing labels from multiple selling platforms which change settings may be the issue. Otherwise great printer no complaints.
Opposite experience with the Munbyn. We bought the "on brand" Rollo, and it's horrible, incompatible with anything but their own paper, constantly jams, print quality goes bad daily. Munbyn has been the best we've had, 3 years and counting on our two munbyn printers. I'm wondering if you've cleaned the thermal head, upped the darkness of the print. It sounds like a barcode issue not a printer issue.
I bought a cheap 2nd hand b/w Laser printer from brother on ebay 30euro - this has worked for me - quality is probably better than any consumer grade thermal printer. I print 2 labels per a4 page / cut it in half and then have a clear packing tape on hand roller dispenser that I run over the label sticking it to the package - this protects the print from rain and light abrasion. No need for adhesive labels and the bw laser cartridges are cheap and can make lots of prints.
Dammit! Wish I watched this review before buying the printer. When I searched before I only found 1 review for Munbyn that recommended it, just received it and printed an Amazon FBA label n noticed it printed too thick. Tried scanning myself and it didn't work compared to my other printer 🤦🏾♂️ gonna try a few things n see if I can get it working
Sounds like you need to adjust the settings for contrast, and also, you if have an image issue. Did you try to clean the head and feed pressure roller?
Been using this brand for a few years now and I had absolutely no issues whatsoever. Just cause you have bad experience doesn't mean you should not recommend it and tell people not to buy it. To each their own
I was thinking of buying that Munbyn printer, and now I see your video. I found out that there is an option to lower the print speed to 3 inches per second, which would solve the problem. What speed did you use when you had the problem?
Have you tried print Scale 100% instead of print Scale to Fit? Are you using Macbook? Some people have reported printing barcode issue when they are using Macbook. But not for the people using Windows. Is the printer is the updated 300dpi?
Great video! Thumbs up for the courage to post it. I watched a few "comparison" videos full of never-heard-of-brands, that felt paid for. Oh well, I'll just go with an established brand in printers, not necessaraly more expensive
What did you end up going with? I've now bought a Rollo and it's terrible for the money. I've wasted so many labels to try and resolve the quality, i should have noticed it only has 203dpi . My 'Brother QL-570 does 300x600 dpi' but the labels are to small not 4x6, i use it for warning/return labels. Even pictures come out amazing on it. I think it comes down to the digital label quality from the sellers also, but even then it didn't improve on the Rollo. I may get the bigger version of a Brother Machine
It probably got 203 dpi resolution, you need one of 300 dpi, could get the one from Vevor, but mind that they too got printers with 203 dpi resolution. Double check that you are getting 300 dpi one.
This is video was made to focus you to an alternative 🙄 she could of done a helpful video on all the ways to use the alternative thermal label printer or this one and still got those interested in an alternative to check the amazon options if she did an comparison 📝
I would've faced the issue you faced had i clicked that "buy now" button, thankfully i stumbled upon your video before buying, actually saved me. Would you recommend anything else ? i really need one as my business is scaling, saves me a ton of time =(
wow! I wonder why the barcodes won't scan cuz they look fine? I'm in the market for a thermal printer and munbyn came up, but with mixed reviews. I'm certainly not going to take the chance now! btw, the royal mail only has a QR code for the address??? No written backup? What happens if it gets smeared??
Yes not worth the risk, after filming I realised they have a small number code above the QR code for Royal Mail, so maybe that’s the backup. Hope you find a decent thermal printer alternative!
Hi, Anna! Not sure if you remember me, or know my name/last name, but I'm Mason - I used to have a channel called Mason Of Delfino. I was looking at a room tour video today for some work stuff I'm doing and came across your comment and it made me happy re-reading it. You mentioned how my room tour videos were your favorite to watch and at that point you were just starting your channel, and I just wanted to say thank you, and hi, and I'm glad you are still at it. Keep up the great work!!
Yay Mason yes, of course, I remember you and your channel! You had the most spectacular Nintendo collection I had ever seen. Thank you for your kind comment, and how are you these days? I hope everything is going well, and Merry Christmas!
@@annabrickstock Things are going good! I am still pretty active on twitter, but when I quit RUclips I started doing freelance design within that community I had on the channel. @@MasNConrad wow that's brilliant congrats! I took a look at your website and channel banner both are designed very professionally and look great! Unfortunately I no longer have twitter, do you have instagram at all?
If you are looking for an alternative I have now been using this: amzn.to/3Xvo7ZK since February and it works perfectly!
You need to adjust the density, lower for finer print and or the speed in printer settings.

⚠️Be warned do not put sellotape over thermal label as it goes blank. If you are shipping out goods
Why would you put sellotape on the label 🤔
@onlyagreeingsometimes Re: That really is a ridiculous question to ask
don't you think. Everyone using sellotape to ship out goods.
@@simonheywood1286 everyone using sellotape to ship out goods. What do you mean by that statement 🤔

Thanks for this, I was just about to order this printer today
Never had this problem with any of the thousands of shipping labels I've printed from my Munbyn. Yet had labels rejected from a laser printer.
Mine is really good. I’m using it with macOS. I had to reduce the darkness for clear barcodes.

Ive had this printer for 3 or 4 years and never had any issues with it. You probably just have no idea how to use it. Its not hard.
Sounds like you need to adjust the settings for contrast, and also, you if have an image issue. Did you try to clean the head and feed pressure roller?

Looks like a scaling issue.. I'm guessing thats the 203DPI model, 203DPI is odd ball size. There is software to correct this
Ok so i have the p941 usb model, i was worried Royal Mail wouldn’t be able to scan the qr code for the etsy shipping label but it was fine
I was thinking of buying that Munbyn printer, and now I see your video. I found out that there is an option to lower the print speed to 3 inches per second, which would solve the problem. What speed did you use when you had the problem?
For commerical purposes, I recommend the Toshiba BV410D for crisp barcode and QR code printing. Not the cheapest printer but you get what you pay for.
Have you tried print Scale 100% instead of print Scale to Fit?
Are you using Macbook? Some people have reported printing barcode issue when they are using Macbook. But not for the people using Windows.

The Bluetooth isn’t good for the bar code doesn’t print well the return address doesn’t even print

Just received and no issue with accpting at postal
When you buy a phone do u adjust the settings because that’s all you have to do with the printer just sayin

No problem, this is the thermal printer I recommend as have used it at my job and works perfectly amzn.to/3Xvo7ZK
Did your purchase the extended warranty?
How come when I changed the density (darkness) to lighter it does not change to lighter a bit for my texts. Can you help?
Can buy them used or even new for less then fifty large now. 😹 People have caught on that they're no good.
Has anyone experienced the same issue? any software updates?
Return it for a replacement, I've just ordered one as its highly recommended. If mine doesn't work I will definitely be returning it.
Thank you I’m going to try and mess around with the settings and see if I can change the dpi, hope yours works ok 👍
@@annabrickstock how did it go after 2months?
Thanks for sharing this I am glad I dodged a bullet and went with commerical grade Rollo ;)
thanks for the vid i was going to order one think ill keep looking
Could you lower print out put from printer setting from dark to light print?
Thank you for this excellent review
What label printer would you recommend instead? What is the best alternative?
Zebra GK420D Desktop use Label Maker is a solid option
Brother or Zebra if you dont mind the cost. Rollo if you want to spend a little less.

Great video. Definitely worth checking out Brother.
Thank you Dave great suggestion I’ll take a look
Did you ever manage to get this fixed or was there a software update?
