I have a Dymo and a Rollo. Both have worked great, although I've had a couple of label jams on the Dymo over the years. The Rollo is slightly faster. A label printer is one of those quality of life improvements you may not know you need until you get one.
@@booner1252, I must correct you on this matter. The wireless version of the product does not require any physical wires for power transmission. Instead, it harnesses solar energy, which is then stored in batteries to provide electricity even in dark conditions. This innovative feature makes it truly remarkable.
Wick, thanks! Last Sunday night at 1AM I am packing my eBay and WhatNot orders. I go to print from my inkjet printer and it’s bone dry. After almost 3 years I make the decision to by a Rollo based on your original video and this one. I debated going wireless but don’t really need it. It’s arriving tomorrow and I can’t wait. This video really helped solidify my choice. You Rock 🤘😎👍
I was sold on this but the automatic firmware update is a dealbreaker for me. If it works I don't want anyone messing with it, including the company. This never ends well.
Does it work with My phone data or does it have to be connected via wifi For example If I was on the road and I needed to pack something and print some labels could I print labels using only my phone data to connect to the printer. Does it have Bluetooth capabilities?
Perfect timing Wick! I was planning on picking up a Rollo wired this Xmas as a present to myself. Appreciate your thoughts in this and the previous video.
My Wired Rollo Printer leaves white spots scattered over my shipping lables, I have to print out each label like 3 times until one is decent enough to ship. I have tried to clean it with alcohol and cotton swabs and it doesn't help.
Will the ink fade as they are thermal printers? I will not be using this for shipping labels but for scrapbooking!! I do not want blank sheets of paper after a few years in my journal.
Hi Wick. I have the corded version of the Rollo printer. I got it back when you did you video on it and it has worked flawlessly for me. One question for you. The only think I don't like is having to re-load different size labels and have the printer go thru its process to learn the new labels. I have to do this for every Amazon shipment to print the FBA labels. And then I have to go thru the same process again in order to be able to print the address labels. I have considered getting a second Rollo just to be able to keep 2 different size labels loaded and ready to go. What is your process for dealing with different label sizes?
Hard to explain over messages, but in your printer settings you can set a specific size and save it there. That's what I do. Just switch back and forth based on label size
Ok this works! Hahaha what a concept. I thought every time I loaded a new size label in the printer, I had to put it thru its learning routine. Like you said, I just selected the proper size in the print dialogue menu and it works fine. Thanks again Wick.
Hi Wick, Does the Rollo automatically print directly from eBay without any extra steps, or must you save the label as .PDF then reopen it to print? Thanks!
Hey, I've been using the Rollo wired. I think when I tried the wireless it used a PDF, but there might be a way to avoid that as I think it might depend on the phone and settings.
It’s crazy I bought my dymo 4xl wired and have never had any issues and I use the off brand labels. Wireless would be a nice function to try especially if I could print flawless from my phone at times, but I’ll wait a little longer to go down this route.
The Dymo 550 has a sensor in the core of the labels that makes it to where you can't even use generic labels. I personally use a wireless bother QL-1110NWB ( Wireless Bluetooth USB etc ). For my FBA labels when I do use them I use a Dymo 450 I got for 3 bucks at the flea market. First thermal printer should always be a zebra LP 2844
My wife gave me a wired ROLLO printer for Christmas 2 years ago. I have to say probably the best present ever. Absolutely no issues with it at all.
So sweet. You're happy with your gift and she has great taste. Because of you and the gift😊

"I didnt give you permission to waste one of my labels" hahahahah i was thinking rhe same thing. Business owners count pennies
I ordered the corded one. I had no need for wireless. I love it. You can’t Go wrong with Rollo.
the wireless one is also corded...by wireless they mean wirelessly print...

I don’t have a laptop so for printing from my phone and ipad I needed the wireless rollo and it was worth the cost!

I’m laughing cause I see my previous comment from seven months ago. Didn’t pull the trigger until this week😂

Oh interesting
I am so so so in love with my Rollo!!! I highly recommend it!!

5 months any issues?

I will get the wireless Rollo because I live with others and unable to print in any set place.

Maybe you have some adhesive stuck somewhere… you can scrape it off….
I'm with you the Rollo printer is awesome, the Dymo printers are junk.

A quick question for you Wick. So do you have to get the stacks of labels in order to use this printer?
You can use roll labels, but you need the tray with the spindle rack to make it easier to use.
I just thought about using a $5 raspberry pi w as a print server.
i use the cheapo K comer from amazon no issues yet in 2 years

Oh man. All this time and I didn't even realize that. Thanks Wick. I am on this...!!

I love my wireless label printer. Not using Rollo due to price, I use a Jaden.
My wireless printer is cut and tape.

Def looking to get a regular rollo next year.
When do you recommend a thermal printer vs using the QR code?
Probably when you're shipping so much it becomes a hassle and taking more time to deal with.
When are the knockoffs going to be available?
Thanks for the video and information
Thanks 🎉
Thanks Wick!
Sell me your old one, bro!!
Love the videos by the way, thanks for the knowledge.
