The girl in the video just does click and drop online but you can apply for an account for Click and drop, and pay once you reach £1000. I don't spend money on labels I have a laser printer (MUNBYN) just for 6 x 4 FREE labels from Royal Mail which I order online. Also If you have an account with Royal Mail they come and pick up your mail, as well as give you free labels. I also get my mail cheaper due to having an account. About 15p less on a 1st class large letter. The only thing I have to do is print a completed Manifest at the end of the day and print it off for the post person to scan. I also have a barcode at my front door that the post person has to scan as well as the manifest sheet. I pay for my post mostly monthly. once I reach a £1000 they activate payment and it is taken from my business accoount, so it is not always once a month it depends how busy I am. Hope this helps anyone

Haha! My local post office counter is exactly the same! There's a few people who are lovely and process everything really fast with no trouble but the majority of them are clueless, have no idea how their own system works, take 3 hours to process 1 parcel and huff and puff every time I go in there. Thankfully we don't have to do it anymore! xx
Wow. My parents have their own business on Amazon and eBay and they use Click & Drop...but they make it look so hectic! I plan to start my own shop on Etsy and this video just helped me realise how easy it actually is. Thank you so much! Although, my parents drop their parcels off at our local depot because they would get processed on the same day. Very efficient and kinda nice to know that they have your parcels.
Great video. Worth also noting that for 72p per package you can have up to five per day collected. Worth it if you have only one or live too far away from a post office.
Okey I’m sold, I’ve started selling on Shopify and was looking for a way to package my items in a professional way, I’ve had my first batch of orders and I’m over the moon about it but the thought of writting them all out by hand was so overwhelming, so this whole video really helped, plus I currently live right next to a Royal Mail post office so this works out perfectly. Now just to get my hands on a nice label printer and some paper and I’m off to go, wish me luck guys 😊

I'm fairly new to selling online and was looking for an easier way to post several parcels at once via Royal Mail without feeling terrible about causing a long queue in my small but busy local Post Office. I see their faces drop when I walk in with my boxes, but now they might even smile next time they see me because I'll be able to just drop and go! A big time saver. Your instructons in the video are easy to follow and you go through absolutely everything, including both national and international postage, customs labels and even what paper you use to print on and changing printer settings for smaller labels. I am also most grateful for seeing how to set up customer details/accounts and how to integrate the different selling platforms. I think this RM postage system is brilliant and I shall be using it very soon!
This is brilliant! I thought I was using Click & Drop, and I was using some version of it, but I was still having to enter every single order one at a time. This is amazing. This is amazing! Many thanks for talking us through it. I realise it’s a few years old and possibly things may have been updated on their site. I have a Shopify and send roughly 150 orders each Xmas season (personalised and handwritten Santa Letters!), and it’s always a pain to have to hand write all their addresses on the packaging plus actually going to the post office every few days over the course of the ten week stint I write the Santa letters! I’ve given my head a good old shake and realised how much time I’m wasting! It’s time for me to update my entire shipping process 😂
I thought I would still have to drop them to the post office, it's blown my mind that I can just put them in the post box!! Ah i never need to leave my street again! I'm buying a printer right now!
You have just made my life sooooooo much easier. I do my postage via Etsy but used to screenshot the labels, import them into the Avery label online design site and print from there. I didn't realise I could print direct from the label PDF........doh!

I was the same like Fleurell, completely stressed with the shipping merlarky and was wanting to use Royal Mail as my delivery service for my Etsy shop. Looking on RUclips, most of these types of videos are from people who live outside the UK so it was nice to see your great video. im brand new to Etsy too so it was a relieve of how easy it was to create a drop and click account to link to my online shop to, thank you soo much for the video and hope your shop is going well too

@Lula Rocks I literally looked everywhere to see at what end you sync shopify. I keep trying to adjust settings at the shopify end. If Royal Mail are doing it all...do you put your own shipping amount manually in shopify? Thank you...
@@creativekingfisherplans That's how I do it. I don't know if there's an automated way to do it but I prefer manual because then I can control the prices myself.
I’ve always manually shrunk down postage labels to fit on smaller boxes. I thought they had to all be visible on the front. Same with the customs label. I assumed that had to be on the front. Lots of new things learned here, thank you!

Is you printer printing the same label 4 times? When I have 1 order and chose 4 per page, it just prints 1 in the top left corner. You might be better off changing the label settings in click and drop rather than your printer and seeing if that works?

Oh no! If you can't do it on the Mac you should be able to change the settings on C&D, it's not as good if you're doing international shipping because it prints the customs labels separately (if I recall). Glad I could help though!

About to embark on the Etsy business train, but was a little intimidated by the custom labels for international shipping. Many, many thanks for going over this.
Thanks for this video. I've been using click and drop for years and when I started they didn't do the integration with ebay and etsy etc. However I just wanted to let you know that Royal Mail have introduced small parcel post boxes. I normally take my parcels to the depot direct as it's closer to my office than the post office however since Covid 19 I've been using these so I don't have to go to the depot. You can google Royal Mail Oarcel Postboxes and theres a link to find them in your area. Hope this helps anyone watching 😘

My local delivery office can't stamp any proof of postage certificates at the moment due to the limited opening hours so I'm thinking about just using the parcel postboxes, as I'm not getting any proof of postage currently anyway. I post around 30-40 parcels at one time though - is this possible using the postboxes? How much space do they have?

Hello Lula, your video is very informative. I am happy I found it after trying to find out whether I can print on 4 labels per sheet! The only thing I would like to ask you is whether you have a way of printing a label on the label you want (choose the position) so not to waste my entire sheet. Hope this makes sense. Oooh yes! Instead of choosing 'generate label' you can choose 'generate label with custom positioning' and pick where you want the label to be. I do this when I re-use left over labels :)

How do you get proof of postage? Only problem is I have had eBay notifying item has been dispatched and giving a number but sellers saying its been posted but actually it has not! Good video easy to understand unlike thousands of others that are completely wast of time, website is nice and neat and easy on the Eyes👍🤩

Very helpful, I've just opened my Business account with Royal Mail and connected it with Click and Drop. You don't have a business one, do you? It would be helpfull to explain how to work with their bags, labels and how important is to create a manifest in the end of a working day.
Unfortunately not, I have a personal account at the moment. I will be looking into opening a business account with them once/if COVID calms down a bit. At the moment, it's a bit too much for my little head to deal with!

Great video! I sell stencils on eBay and I’ve been just writing the addresses manually and paying for them at the post office, this saves me a lot of time and money too! Got my scale coming tomorrow! Most weight on my stencils is the hard back envelope ahah
I'm so glad it was helpful! Honestly it saves so much time, I used to manually write all my addresses and when I had lots of parcels from sales it was such a pain! I feel you, I sell a lot of stickers and they weigh nothing but the board backed envelopes are heavy!

If a person is unemployed and signing on, do they still need a business licence together with a re-sell licence BEFORE they sell anything on Shopify ?

I've been using click and drop for years and when I started they didn't do the integration with ebay and etsy etc. However I just wanted to let you know that Royal Mail have introduced small parcel post boxes. I normally take my parcels to the depot direct as it's closer to my office than the post office however since Covid 19 I've been using these so I don't have to go to the depot. You can google Royal Mail Oarcel Postboxes and theres a link to find them in your area. Hope this helps anyone watching 😘

My local delivery office can't stamp any proof of postage certificates at the moment due to the limited opening hours so I'm thinking about just using the parcel postboxes, as I'm not getting any proof of postage currently anyway. I post around 30-40 parcels at one time though - is this possible using the postboxes? How much space do they have?

@@LulaRocks Hey do you know if there is any additional paper work to do if shipping from UK to USA (Royal Mail Intl Delivery) besides filling the customs form? Anything related to state or federal taxes or import duties?
I ship most of my parcels to the US and have never had to fill out any additional paperwork. Just the customs label ☺️

Hello Lula, your video is very informative. I am happy I found it after trying to find out whether I can print on 4 labels per sheet! The only thing I would like to ask you is whether you have a way of printing a label on the label you want (choose the position) so not to waste my entire sheet. Hope this makes sense. Oooh yes! Instead of choosing 'generate label' you can choose 'generate label with custom positioning' and pick where you want the label to be. I do this when I re-use left over labels :)

How do you get proof of postage?
Only problem is I have had eBay notifying item has been dispatched and giving a number but sellers saying
its been posted but actually it has not!

Smaller labels would help soooo much! Luckily they wrap around but it is a pain!
Very helpful, I've just opened my Business account with Royal Mail and connected it with Click and Drop. You don't have a business one, do you? It would be helpfull to explain how to work with their bags, labels and how important is to create a manifest in the end of a working day.
Unfortunately not, I have a personal account at the moment. I will be looking into opening a business account with them once/if COVID calms down a bit. At the moment, it's a bit too much for my little head to deal with!

Great video! I sell stencils on eBay and I’ve been just writing the addresses manually and paying for them at the post office, this saves me a lot of time and money too! Got my scale coming tomorrow! Most weight on my stencils is the hard back envelope ahah

Love the boxes. Will consider purchasing them after I go through the corrugated ones I have on hand now.
The boxes are super handy, I've increased the size to A6 PIP boxes now because the labels fit better!
@@LulaRocks I'm wondering though whether or not they will be strong enough. All of my jewelry is wood-based so I need strong protection. That is why I use the corrugated boxes.
