      @@thegoodridesnow After 3 weeks of riding, also compared to many mainstream boards that I had a chance to try (DOA, Mega Merc, Mtn Twin, Warpig) I have concluded that this board is the best. Very well-balanced all-rounder, excel in almost every aspect, especially jumping and carving. The pop is definitely more accessible compared to DOA, and the edge hold is better than Mtn Twin in my opinion. And the graphics! I just love it. Your excellent review helped me make a good decision. Thanks a lot!

      For those who are interested in my review above, I classify myself as an advanced rider. I can ride technical terrains like moguls and trees comfortably enough. Now working on the freestyle aspect of riding: improving my air time and my frontside 180. If you are somewhere around this point and are thinking of getting this board, my advice would be: get it! ;)

      @@thanhtungbui7823hey glad to hear you like it. I’m right there with you. I’m still debating on sizing. What size did you go with and what are your specs? Would you go a different size if you had a chance? Thx

    • @thanhtungbui7823
      @thanhtungbui7823 4 месяца назад +1

      @@songthi1 I am a pretty light-weight rider (56kg, 168cm). I went with 152cm because other sizes were not available at the time. It works well, carving feels stable and there’s enough float on powder if you slam your bindings all the way back. I would like to try 148cm size though, since I do freestyle riding a lot these days and a bigger board makes it a little harder to control the spin, but that’s just my guess.

    Hi, thank you for another great review. How is this board different from the Yes Typo? Many thanks

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  Год назад +1

      Thanks! Its a very similar shape but that's about it. Better overall construction, better pop, more fun to turn, faster base glide, set back inserts for better float in pow. Definitely worth the extra money

    Thanks for making great videos! Bought a hybrid on your recommendation and love it. I’m looking at the basic unic. I’m 5’10” 175 size 10 boot. You think 156w would work or stick to the 158? How different would the feel. I ride a 153 in the hybrid and it feels great. TIA!

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  4 месяца назад

      Thanks! Yeah I think you might like the Basic Uninc 156w or the Standard Uninc 156 better than the 158 Basic Uninc. Especially if you like the 153 Hybrid.

    I am 176cm (~ 5’9 to 5’10), weigh 72kg (158 lb), with size 7.5 feet.
    Should I get this board in a 149 or a 152?

    Just wondering, you said the basic uninc has rocker in tip/tail but on the homepage etc mentioned „full camber“ instead of „cam rock”. What’s right? Would love it with rocker more than with full camber, as I plan to buy it IF it has bit of rocker :-)
    Would be nice add on if you push the boards down on the flat table to see how contact points elevate 👍

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  8 месяцев назад

      3:12 will answer your question where I show the camber. I had the 2024 model to review because I thought it switched to camber because of the description but it didn't. They just now call "modern camber" "camber" which is a bit misleading.

    • @Gregor-em3ws
      @Gregor-em3ws 8 месяцев назад

      @@thegoodridesnowThx for the quick reply. I saw it on the table, but couldn’t say if that’s already but rocker or camber end. Probably less rocker than Typo and Basic?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah a good bit of rocker. Much more forgiving and floaty vs. camber. Yes less rocker than the basic/typo but more than the Standard Uninc that is modern camber.

    I realise this is an old video, but you barely mention the Otto, so I'm curious in what conditions you choose to ride it?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  День назад

      Yeah. I shouldn't have put it in there because the Basic Uninc is more like the Jones Mtn Twin and Basic. Otto carves harder and floats better than all of these. It's more of a directional daily driver vs. twin/directional twin daily drivers.

    hi, what if you have to choose from basic uninc and standard uninc?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  Год назад +1

      Both are great boards. It depends on your specs, ability level and personal preferences. If you want to carve harder go Standard Uninc. If you want more of a true twin feel on groomers go Basic Uninc but the Standard Uninc is pretty close. I like the Standard Uninc a little better in powder but again just by a little bit. Both are great one board quivers.

  • @xwowa123x

    Is regular Basic much more forgivinig vs Uninc version? What is your opinion?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  Месяц назад +1

      So the Basic Uninc says it's "Camber" but it's actually camber with a lot of early rise. So, like I say in the review, it's pretty forgiving. It does have more camber than the Basic so the Basic is more forgiving but it's not by a lot. If you can swing the higher price of the Uninc go that way. Everything about that board is better. If you want to get into it more hit me here to give me the info I need to help you much better. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/

    What does locked in mean please?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  Год назад

      It means that it's catchy and doesn't skid a turn easy. It does track really well though. This isn't fun for beginners or intermediates but advanced to expert riders often prefer a locked in feel.

      No it's too narrow. You could boot out and that would suck. Go for the 159w . Maybe the 156w but it will feel small for your weight.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  6 месяцев назад +1

      159w. I think they make that for this season. It's not a super wide board and that would better fit your weight and boot size. Maybe the 156w if you want more maneuverability but the 158 is too narrow if you see steep terrain or like to carve hard.

    hey, I'm thinking about choosing between Basic uninc and great uninc, I want great grip on ice and very hard snow. My BASIC works great in this, but I'm looking for something faster with more pop for more aggressive riding, without sacrificing great grip . Which of these boards would be a better choice?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  6 месяцев назад +1

      I would go Basic Uninc if you like what you have now but want a little more camber, more pop, better construction and set back inserts. Especially if you set your board back in pow and have full sized disc bindings. It's a much more well rounded board. Go Greats if you ride switch all the time and don't set it back in powder. This board has passed below my radar somehow, it has the worst name, the worst graphics and strange sizings, way to burry a good board YES.🤪
    Looks like it's not so stiff and the underbite adds directional vibes.

      Ha! Yest it becomes beautiful after u ride it. Underbite helps grip and setback inserts helps with directional float/vibe.
