    How does this compare to the Bataleon Whatever? It seems like the designs are different but the philosophy is the same? they are also in the same price range.

    Hey - super nice review. really like it! I am 5'8 and my weight is around 182 lbs. So far so good. I could downsize a little an ride a 8.5 boot. Will the 153 Standard be the right fit for me? Thanks a lot! J*

    Great review. Could you make a comparison to the typo? Do i get it right that the typo is a little bit more on the freestyle side and the standard the mire aggressive charger?

    • @alwaysgosnowboarding
      @alwaysgosnowboarding 2 года назад +1

      I own a standard, my buddy owns a typo. I find the typo to be more aggressive all mtn charger, more similar to my Capita DOA. I was surprised thinking the typo would be better for my freestyle stuff, but I really love the playfullness of the standard. I just posted a review of the standard if your torn between the two! Hmu with sny questions!
      ( typo is a freakin awesome board, honestly cant go wrong with either they can both do a lil of everything really good)

    Trying to pick up this board, 2024 model. Choosing between 156 and 159 I'm 187cm tall, 87kg, US 10.5 boots. I ride groomers 70% of the time, 20% trees, and 10% park. Experienced rider. Any advice?

    What is the difference between Standard and past away Ghost? Only profile? How much different it's feeling?

    • @kiddkaos1
      @kiddkaos1 2 года назад +3

      Ghost would withstand some-what more aggressive riding (although some say it's still not super aggressive - Yes's 7 feels more like a 5 depending on your weight obviously) and carve better, while the Standard would benefit a bit more in powder and playful buttery styles.
      Disclaimer: haven't rode any of them, but buying a Standard this year and read a decent amount about them

    • @DG-xj6zv
      @DG-xj6zv 2 года назад +1

      @@kiddkaos1 I’ve ridden the Ghost and this is exactly how it is. Same core, geometry, the only difference is a modern camber vs a camrock with all the pros and cons of both.

    • @WhitelinesSnowboarding
      @WhitelinesSnowboarding  2 года назад

      The key difference is the CamRock profile here in the Standard, compared with the full camber profile of the Ghost. It make's the Standard a little more playful at the ends of the board, as well as giving you some extra float in deeper conditions. It won't have quite the same levels of power and pop as the Ghost, but not far off. And it's certainly still very capable of riding hard everywhere (see vid...!)

    What about the carvs on this board and is it forgiving ?

    • @ianmichael9224
      @ianmichael9224 Год назад

      I think the board carves really well because of the traditional camber in the middle. And because the nose and tail have rocker I felt it was pretty forgiving and easy to butter etc. I feel like it has the perfect balance of stability and playfulness and lays really nice carves.

    Really interested in this board and the Burton hometown hero. Don’t really do park but enjoy a bit of freestyle with my free ride. Any insights? Thanks.

    • @WhitelinesSnowboarding
      @WhitelinesSnowboarding  2 года назад +3

      The Standard is a great all-mountain snowboard and great for progressing your freestyle in resort and backcountry. If you're looking for more of a dedicated freeride snowboard, (which is still totally rideable in switch), the Hometown Hero might be a better option. Take a look at The Natural Selection Tour for proof - a lot of the Burton team were riding that board!

    Just bought this board. Stoked! No park at all for my riding but can’t wait to get it out in the PNW powder and trees to just blast around the hill:) only worry I have is that I am not really a switch rider(yet) and hope the centered stance on this can handle the moister snow we get here in atomic dumps. Slightly worried that a 1” set back stance on this as a daily driver would be against the formula of this board. The board looks and feels candy though and can’t wait to try out this mid bite ! (:
