hi Kate , when you were uphill you went to reverse , and then you pressed the button and it showed F its a forward gear when ur moving around in tight spot and you will not get full power , you should just tap the reverse button again and then it goes to 1.2.3 mode , you didn't had to remove the battery the bike was acttuly fine , the bike has 5 gear modes R reverse F forward mode and 1.2.3 drive mode ,
So just some numbers in case who wonders; she started with 97% single battery with 261 miles on the ODO (420km), then she drove the battery flat to 10% charge. The ODO read 294 miles (473km). So she has covered 33 miles (53km) on a single battery. The estimated claimed range is about 43 miles (70km) for one battery and 87 miles (140km) for two batteries. Temperature was 11C, about 52F. Pretty average road trip; uphill/downhill and my guess is that the average speed was about 35-40 miles per hour (55-65 km/ph).
Some of those roads you where on, I used to ride my bicycle on back in the late 60's . Barrow bridge, my favourite place on the planet. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
Hi Kate, what a great video, a really comprehensive review, you covered everything we need to know, even how it performs in the rain, a really nice looking scooter, and the two battery option, a first, and essential option, a huge selling point. You really put it through its paces, good thinking to disconnect the first battery to get full power, which i found strange. This was my first look at electric and was impressed, thanks for a great introduction.
I rode a Zero a few years ago but I didnt need to worry about battery life,I loved it apart from the price, you definately showed limitations of an electric & your braved the weather too, nice to see an all weather rider cheating your chances with a 2nd battery,Im sure we've all been there be it a petrol shortage & that relief of finding a station
There will be some that will do that kind of commute so it was a good test for it. I used to ride from Altrincham to Mossley on a 100cc Vespa which has its hills too. This is the kind of review we want to see, real world real life, rain and all.
Sooo loved the comment.” It’s not a clutch Kate”. Would loved to have heard the shriek when you forgot it wasn’t!!! I have done it too. And, well, ...bowel emptying moment!!!!!!
This was freaking great!!!!! You certainly fooled me as I thought you were going to get stuck and needed to call for help. But, smart lady you are, you had a second battery!!!! :) Of course, you didn't know that you had to detach the other battery before you could use the new charged battery, but who knew. :) Good video UNK. Good video indeed. :)
Cracking video. Proper funny. Would have p!$%&d myself if you’d forgotten to charge that second battery. Even liked your newbie mistake when you set off after setting up the new battery. Watched these in reverse so saw your explanation of what you did wrong before watching this. Keep the content coming please.
Thank you for the review. Just so you know there are other little ladies that ride bikes. I only ride a 2 stroke 50cc but I’m probs shorter than you at 5foot. I’m thinking about going electric so your reviews are helpful. It must be strange not having any noise? Thanks again keep up the good work .. also enjoyed your Aldi shop 🤩
There’s so many of these electro-peds appearing now. There’s rows of them at work. And you know what, I say fair play. Many of the users come from less than 15-20 miles away and they’re absolute weapons in traffic. Had a chat with a guy who’s got a neo (he was wearing an arai rx7 so something going on there...) and as suspected he had Ducati’s, GS’s all sorts. This was purely for work. Makes sense to me... Great vid, Kate. 👍👍
1st we’ve seen of your vlog, well impressed great real life review, might have to get one to go with the bikes, sometimes putting all that clobber on to go out on the mcycle’s is a pain when your only nipping from here to there. Keep up the good work. 👍
I'm looking forward to the Electric vehicle revolution, yeah good for the environment and many will disagree but though I love the ICE, having worked in the field of electric motor and inverter technology watch this space. I love your comments and I think this is your most entertaining vid I've watched to date. Thanks.
I love how people talk to Super Soco motorcycles like they would a VW Beatle/Herbie, they're certainly playful and approachable. (All good things for a first-time rider)
Exactly the kind of real world test we need to see! Essentially you have to get the 2 battery version, and unplug the first one once it starts flashing at 20%.
Digital dash, adjustable screen, riding modes and a single sided swing arm, its basically an electric multistrada 🤣🤣 What a brilliant idea having the opportunity to increase battery numbers. The BMW was clearly a setup 😆 Ooh an extra 1000 sovs for a second battery, I know that's where the cost is though it was just a bit of a shock seeing it on screen. I was kind of hoping you'd pop the front end up on carl fogarty way but not at the risk of getting stuck somewhere in Bolton 😆 This is intense 15% 😱 10% 😢 🤩🤩second battery🤩🤩 Brilliant... That was better than Ewan and Charleys long way up. 👏👏👏👏
Great review !! I was looking at one of these to commute to work as the removable batteries would be perfect living in a flat but the top speed of 56mph would be scary on fast A roads and dual carriage way . I need a bike capable of 70mph . Hopefully a faster one in future .

It'll allow bikes to have the smaller batteries, maybe 120miles, but if I can charge in 5 mins for £1, I'm happy to stop off regularly which I do on my ICE scooter 🤣
How many miles had you covered before you plugged the second battery in or how many miles do you think you had left before you would get home? I'm trying to gauge the range on one battery at full throttle.
The ones I use for work are restricted to like 45. And they have other ones that only go to 30 but no one uses them because there too slow I just use the ones you have I like them .👍✌️
I enjoyed this review immensely Kate. I was on tenderhooks the whole way through wondering if you would make it back. Will she wont she will she wont she, rocking this way and that, backwards and forwards in my seat.🤣 I really didnt want you to end up stranded.😊 I was kept in suspenders right up until you revealed your second battery.🙂 that was a truly epic adventure in this tremendous review. 🙂
First in the queue ,until the hill , your just a tease , with another silk worm hiding under your seat . One happy lady with a battery to spare . Could you make to the beach before the tide goes out ? .
Electric Scooters/Bikes are great but need to always keep range in mind, charging points and the real lack of infrastructure at the moment. I think the "Long Way Up" series has provide that even with all their backing the obsessive focus became bike range and charging.

How many miles had you covered before you plugged the second battery in or how many miles do you think you had left before you would get home?
I'm trying to gauge the range on one battery at full throttle.
The ones I use for work are restricted to like 45. And they have other ones that only go to 30 but no one uses them because there too slow I just use the ones you have I like them .👍✌️
T rex arms 😂🤣😂🤣
This cracked me up also
Thanks kate
I enjoyed this review immensely Kate. I was on tenderhooks the whole way through wondering if you would make it back. Will she wont she will she wont she, rocking this way and that, backwards and forwards in my seat.🤣 I really didnt want you to end up stranded.😊 I was kept in suspenders right up until you revealed your second battery.🙂 that was a truly epic adventure in this tremendous review. 🙂
First in the queue ,until the hill , your just a tease , with another silk worm hiding under your seat . One happy lady with a battery to spare . Could you make to the beach before the tide goes out ? .
Nice
Diggin it. I'd put a topcase on and rock that baby. Disable that power-on jingle though.. that's annoying, no?
Can you have this bike on a learner licence with a standard CBT. I'm applying for my first licence at age 39.
Yes, definitely! And good luck 😊 itll be the best thing you do!
Electric Scooters/Bikes are great but need to always keep range in mind, charging points and the real lack of infrastructure at the moment. I think the "Long Way Up" series has provide that even with all their backing the obsessive focus became bike range and charging.
I can imagine. Cant wait to watch that series!
@@UsernameKate There are a few on Apple TV wellmwirth a watch. The first couple focus too much on charging. The bikes, not the epic road trip.
Omg you're such a funny geek nutter , so many hilarious quotes. Darth Vader says to Luke Skywalker " I know what you are getting for Xmas" Luke Skywalker says " how'd you know that? Darth replies " I can feel your presents "
🤣🤣🤣
Great review Kate! Electric bikes defo not for me. Sorry. ( even if they do flash at you ) 😂😂😂😂
