Feels slightly amped if you compare with neutral sounding studio headphones . There is no boominess or distortion even at higher volumes. And for very low frequencies you can feel the excellent vibrations just as you would feel in theatre's. High frequencies are also superb..clean cymbal , hi hats . Distinctly hear all instrument's. Cups are very comfy. Kudos to oneodios..

    Hey JDL, I like your reviews! Like you, I didn't like the Bluetooth OneAudio headphones and was about to send them back. Just for kicks, I checked my OnePlus phone sound and found an equalizer. Well, when I played around with the equalizer I was blown away by the OneAudio A7. I'm not sure what they did with the original out-of-the-box sound signature but it's pretty bad compared to the Studio version of the OneAudio. So I decided to check my laptop and it also has a good equalizer. When I fine-tune the sound signature, I have to say that I totally love the Bluetooth A7 OneAudio headphones. They rock! :)

    Another thing worh mentioning is that you're right, it is unfair to compare bluetooth vs wired.. specially depending of the source, my point is, first there's the fact ytou mentioned that bluetooth comes amplified, true.. but then there is the source, people looking for headphones for a stereo equipment, that's a whole different ballpark.. because there we have a much more sofisticated amplification and equalization.. and usually no bluetooth, so wired will reing supreme.... but if course, that would be serious listeners..I have sony rf wireless for my stereo/computer, and they are sooo comfortable and sound great.. and the 8 years they have been with me says a lot about build quality..
    great video! :)

  • @CondeCalifornia
    @CondeCalifornia 5 лет назад

    I didnt see anything that might offend an audio`phile.. unless i messed it... you were right on the money with the difference between wired and bluetooh.. comfort vs build quality? I rather go for comfort.. specially since in this case it also means better sound...
    I struggled a little back in january with the bluedio A's because they did pack some puch basswise, but i had to raise ALL the trebble frequencies in my phone EQ.. to be able to balance the sound a bit but they were definitely lacking in that department
    it was a nice battle, and many listeners make take the money into consideration more that you think, and the OneOdio Dj Pro being under 50$ seem to have a way better value/cost ratio.. so, it is a winner in more than one way
    kudos!

    overall good vid for the average joe. They definitely dont need to be spending 150 to 200 bucks for stuff meant for studio monitoring work when musical enjoyment is their main purpose. AKG m220 for 70 dollars will smash the m40s and m50s for clarity and soundstage is a much better option for average joes that enjoy that sound signature. Same lack of bass issue though. Phillips shp9500 are a good alternative as well. Both much better for music than the audiotechnicas and much cheaper.

    When you said that ATH's can't handle bass i laughed hard, i'm bass head too and i can tell you that m50x can destroy your eardrums with bass if you tweak them that way with EQ, (Huge 'V' shape like that OneOdio), they are hungry for power, so you will need some good amp to get that result. Their sound signature is more to flat by default (slightly elevated bass and highs) but you can always tweak them at your own preference...They can withstand 1600mW power and they have sensitivity around 100db/mW, that mean they can output around 133db SPL which is INSANE!
    I like you presentation bro, kinda enjoying wathing your reviews. Cheers! :)

    • @jasonroberts8416
      @jasonroberts8416 Год назад

      Agreed EQ'ing is a great thing to learn & tailor to your ears liking. I was comparing my Sony MDR XB500's to the Pro 50's and had to reduce the mid bass response from the Pro 50's its just to much to the point it hurts the lower end frequencies & overall bass quality, but I got them sounding pretty solid after EQ.

    • @allexking
      @allexking Год назад

      @@jasonroberts8416 I agree, mid bass is little emphasized, but what most people don't understand is that this HP's are not meant for a relaxed long period listening (out of the box), they are made especially for monitoring tracks in studio, and that means that they have pretty accurate/flat sound...so on some bad recorded tracks they will sound harsh, fatique and that's actually a good thing, headphones that sound good to every single track are the ones that are more colored and inaccurate...Hearing people saying how m40x and dt770 are better for studio use, flat response but they are actually way more ''V'' shaped than m50x, makes no sense...i guess that most ppl think that if some headphone sound good to every single song that they are best for studio work, but its actually opposite...good thing about m50x is that they respond really good to EQ due to their powerful drivers with low THD, so you can literally ''copy'' sound signature from any other closed headphones, but if you try to do that for example with dt770 they will start to distort like crazy, really disappointed with them, but on the other hand they are way more comfortable than m50x for a long period listening...

    • @wazuo8354
      @wazuo8354 4 года назад +1

      I sold my M50x's so I can't do an exact comparison,, I'd say the M50x's have a small amount of extra bass and perhaps a small amount of extra treble, perhaps for a fun gaming headphone the M50x's might be better but for music the OneOdio Studio Pro's are better. The M50x's suffer badly from when the music gets busy around the mid range, like when you have loads on instruments coming into a track, they just sound like a muddled mess, the OnnOdios don't suffer from this at all. So if you want the M50x' purely for gaming you might enjoy them more, if you want to game and play music then I'd go for the OneOdio's, they're better for music and cheaper. In fact I have the ATH MSR-7 headphones, they are more detailed but lack the bass of the OneOdios and are uncomfortable, again the OneOdios win, they're my go to headphone now and I've owned and tested quite a few way more expensive headphones.

      Vendí mis M50x, así que no puedo hacer una comparación exacta, diría que los M50x tienen una pequeña cantidad de graves adicionales y quizás una pequeña cantidad de agudos adicionales, tal vez para un auricular de juego divertido, los M50x podrían ser mejores, pero para La música de OneOdio Studio Pro es mejor. Los M50x sufren mucho cuando la música se llena en el rango medio, como cuando tienes muchos instrumentos entrando en una pista, simplemente suenan como un lío confuso, los OnnOdios no sufren esto en absoluto. Entonces, si quieres el M50x 'solo para juegos, puedes disfrutarlos más, si quieres jugar y reproducir música, entonces elegiría el OneOdio's, son mejores para la música y más baratos. De hecho, tengo los auriculares ATH MSR-7, son más detallados pero carecen del bajo de los OneOdios y son incómodos, de nuevo, los OneOdios ganan, ahora son mis auriculares y he tenido y probado muchas maneras Auriculares más caros.

      Well, note that my use is going to be exclusively for listening to music (smartphone and pc), so even the oneodio studio pro is even above the m50x for that purpose, so the price difference is not reflected in the sound quality. friend, very good reflection I will trust your analysis and I will order the oneodio pro black. the m50s actually need an amp. That 32 ohm rating does not tell the whole story. The drivers are hungry for power and your phone or laptop sound card wont be anywhere close to enough. As in just because it gets loud doesnt mean its properly driven. The bass power, articulation and detail are completely different with a proper amp with lots of power even at lower volume levels and at moderate to high, it makes everything a lot cleaner and detailed. At extreme levels, you'll get head rattling bass out of any headphones even the m50s Plus several years of tinitus. I'd recommend a schiit magni for your future tests haha.
    Also brainwavz hm5 pads for the m50s and m40s for better soundstage and comfort. The m40s are actually pretty junky without the pad upgrade.
    But yeah most normal people dont really care about the audio technica sound signature because of the anemic bass. "Audiophiles" will say the m50s have too much bass... Overall they are boring headphones in my opinion. I dont think anyone loving them for music should even be called an audiophile there's way superior options for the money on massdrop.

      @L0nkero 5 лет назад +1

      @@Jeffdachefz True, but M50X is not simply a headphone that would need any serious amplification, its consumer grade headphone and targeted for casual listeners after all. And dac is not even supposed to do any magical changes to the sound, its most important (and only) job is to convert digital signal to analog, if amplifier is powerful enough dac will affect the sound about as much as the color of the headphone.

      If you are planning to buy headphone + dac/amp combo, you clearly don't want to start with M50X anyway. I have to agree that M50X doesn't really improve by much with amplification. I used to have M50X Dark Green Edition. I personally would pick m40x over m50x if i had to pick one of those.

    Both were designed primarily for studio monitoring but the m40x with a little listening in mine (a little more bass).
    Also people care more about which is best regardless of price than which is the best bang for the buck.
    So I wished you picked a winner regardless of price AND then told us which was the best bang for the buck. If someone is willing to spend $200 on headphones then we want to know which is best and not which is best bang for the buck.

    Curious as to why you are calling those “Fusion” headphones the “Bluetooth version of the Studio Pro,” even though they are definitely not because OneOdio does make an ACTUAL Bluetooth version of the Studio Pro’s which are EXACTLY the same except for not having the plush ear pads and no 6.3m input on the headphones - but build, cups, are exactly the same, no oval cups.
    It’s called “Studio Wireless C” on the box and they absolutely do NOT sound like garbage and here is the Amazon link to them:

      Good question. OneOdio (now OneAudio) contacted me a couple of weeks ago and told me they are calling these headphones Fusion and they have a new Kickstarter campaign going for them. I'm thinking the ones you see on Amazon (I saw them months ago as well) are what they used to make and simply want to rebrand them. A big tell sign is that they've also changed their name to OneAudio and it is now embossed on the headband instead of OneOdio. The earcups are also now oval shape instead of circular unlike the ones you see on Amazon.

    I'm going to explain why you don't like the m50's as much as the other ones.
    They are actually the only headphones out of the ones you tested that is suitable as a studio monitor.
    They have a more accurate soundimage than the rest (yes that means less bass).
    You said that the m50x's are built for general music listening, this is not the case, both the m40's and m50's are marketed as "Professional monitor headphones" on the official website.
    However that doesn't stop a lot of people from liking the m50's for general music listening anyway.

Of course it's lack of bass because it being designed to help you to find flaw in the audio track, not for listening and enjoying music.
