- How to work short rows on a knitting machine. This video gives an example of short rows (partial knitting) when used to wrap and turn individual sts to create a mitered effect. The yarn used is a variegated yarn which is why there are multiple colors in the sample - the yarn itself is multi-colored.
For this tutorial, I'm using an Empisal Knitmaster 324 and the settings for my machine may not be the same as yours.
Note: video has captions, but no audio.
Thank you for this tutorial. It is very clear and easy to understand. The captions are sufficient - no audio is necessary here. I have been using Brother machines for a few years. It was easier to learn the Brothers because Diana Sullivan has many, many very detailed tutorials. I recently got a Studio 860, but the learning curve has not been very easy because the two systems are different and there are not many tutorials on these machines. Also, the manual is very short on instructions. For example, the instructions on how to do tubular/circular knitting leave a lot to be desired. I only wish the knitting machine tutorials would say what type of machine is being used to make it easier when us newbies are searching for instructions. Thanks again.
Thank you for this tutorial..was trying to figure out how to make my mitered square blanket on the machine and this fit the bill...thank you for your time...
Glad it helped you!
I like this video. Thanks for sharing
You're welcome! Thanks for watching.
Another machine knitting tutorial... this one on short rows (partial knitting) and how to do individual wrapped sts to eventually create a mitered detail.
