Great work. I'm with you. It would be different if the big parts stores were selling OEM quality, but it's the same China stuff. Son's 04 Pontiac Vibe needed a ignition coil, $79.99 each or $259 for a 4 pack, same price at all the big 3 parts stores A 4 pack from Anazon was $32.00 and arrived next morning at 5:45 AM.
Happy 4th of July to you. I remember that fire due to fireworks. Hope you have no problems. Hope you get those doors repaired to your satisfaction. I know you hate poor workmanship. Thanks for sharing! 💯💕👊👍
Hi Lee, you have more patience than any doctor. Lol love your videos. Get yourself a magnet to check for bondo, I’m from WV and anytime we go looking at used cars here a magnet is your best friend. Just thought this might help you. Keep up the great work, you the man.😊😊😊😊
Someone was an artistic master with bondo on the bottom of the doors. :D Man, that was a lot of work on those window regulators and doors (and this whole car, really). It's looking good though. Thanks for making the videos.
Good afternoon from Cape Cod ⚓ yep those doors are definitely trash 🗑️ Man dude you're putting a lot of work into that car, it certainly is shaping up nicely 👍 a couple of weeks ago you mentioned Nikki is behaving differently, at the same time I noticed you got rid of all the cats, I'm betting she was becoming fond of the cats as company. Anyway keep up the great work dude ✌️🇺🇲
I can’t believe those doors are that bad. I would have run the other way and left that car were it sets damm you are a funny man but I know thats a lot of work you are doing 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Lee great work as usual. Polite suggestion, you can buy a gopro that straps to your forehead like a flashlight so you can work two handed and film at the same time.
@@clunkersandclassicsI understand why you don’t do it but that is the only complaint I have. You don’t show much of the work being done. You show us after you’ve done it. But like I said. I get it. I understand why you don’t. You’d spend as much time editing as you do working or more.
I love the way Lee does things. He gives a nice explanation of what he's gonna do and BOOM gets er done. Skips all the small time consuming tedious boring stuff. He gets a lot done in an episode the way he does it. I think it's genius! IMO 😉✌
@@michaelbristol6467 that has truth to it but it’s also easier to learn if you’re watching someone do it versus them talking about the finished product.
@@clunkersandclassics understood, you could whip a spacer up out of steel and bolt it in. Quick and easy here but not sure it would be at your shop or if you have a lot of metal shaping gear? Even saw a 80 Volare the other day with one still 95 percent hanging in there all faded, cracked and some edge missing. Chrysler used some kind of rubbery plastic for them as well on that car.
You were looking forward to beating on those doors to show us the rust. 😅 I could tell, because you were talking about how wasted they were for weeks. I would have liked to take a whack at them with a body hammer too! 😅
Justa hint from an old body guy. those hinges change sizes when you put new pins in.try adjusting the screws mounting holes or drill holes bigger.as for the rusted door give it to carter restyling.lol.peace
Try skyco ospho rust converter, does the same job a hell of a lot cheaper than the spray. You can get a gallon for around $30.00 at Ace hardware. I've used it, it works. The Malibu is coming along nicely, the cragers were made for it lol, especially with it jacked up in the ass end, brings back memories of my youth. 👍

Mr. B. Here ! 🍔🍸👀😎👍🇺🇸. What’s so sad to bring that car back you had to cut up gold one , witch you stated the valve was not there ! The Colonnades do not have many follower , I own two Cutlasses one a real 442 purchase new in 1976 . Sad to say the has eaten the frame & people I trusted to do rust repairs over took short cuts . The 2nd Cutlass was a Nevada so I have transferred all the 442 parts to the Nevada Cutlass S. There are many fakes out there that is why I have not listed what was the 442 package . My Cutlass S now has 442 DNA . So Lee I more than many of your viewers know the work you have put into that vehicle ! Nice job waiting for paint . ☕️👀😎👍🍩

The reason the hinges slightly move up and down a little is because those bushings where you put them in is supposed to go into the bottom the one on the top goes into the top. The bushings have a flat side that make a washer that fills in the gap on the top and bottom of the hinge piece that bolts on to the door.

Look for the item I want and it will give you the aisle and bay number along with the number in stock plus the price. This way I know exactly where to go in the store for my item. About a month ago i went into Lowe's in my town to, unfortunately, purchase a dishwasher. The old one was just not cutting it anymore. As I was walking to the appliances section i noticed that there were not 1 but 2 employees there. I'm like sweet, i don't to wait. I told them i need a dishwasher but they said they didn't work in appliances and they had to call the employee who does over to help me out from wherever the fuck she was at. I get pissed, my blood pressure is spiking, and I said straight up to those 2 dipshits, I can't wait any longer, this is bullshit. I don't know why you're constantly complaining about prices going up, some guy who lives in a big white house in DC told me this is the best economy ever and there is no inflation.😆 I appreciate your penny pinching builds keeping it real.
inflation is a small part of it but it's mostly price gouging by some retailers. Years ago before inflation a gallon of bondo was $18 at Walmart. Exact same at O'reillys was $38, a $20 price gouge. Now it's $59 a gallon at Walmart but I buy online now for half that price.
@@clunkersandclassics this is a very reasonable response. Truth be told the economy is complicated and just can't be entirely blamed on the president. Big business has been draining Americans dry for a long time.
