I don't know what's gonna happen but Jarry is a far different player now. He is a VERY live dog in this match.
That serve of his is a beast.
Each of them have improved so much over the years, more Jarry than Zverev but still. I can't wait to see who's going to prevail in the Final though.

Jarry is another tough match-up for Zverev. He robs Zverev of time with his power game which can frustrate the German to no end. The upcoming Rome final is not a done deal for Zverev. And if Jarry is dialled in and not choking, he's going to be tough to stop. I think it's going to come down to a shootout, a few points here and there - whether 1st, 2nd or 3rd set. But the first set will be absolutely crucial I feel... whoever wins it, will have a massive advantage.
100% with you, Zverev definitely the favourite but Jarry is a tough test who can definitely edge it out as well

It seems like the chilean can and often does overpower the german which is quite impressive if you think about it. The problem of Jarry is on his consistency, many UE on matches against low ranked oponents sometimes makes him lose.

I would say Zverev is the favorite. Although, people do tend to show up and have now chances during the slow dirt season.

He’s not successful on clay either. It all depends on his mindset. He just happens to be playing well this week.

@@shapursasan9019 Yes he is a WTA player but all his titles are on clay and it doesnt make sense. His serve and playstyle suits hard courts better
He is getting better though, He did 2 quarter final in the last 4 hard courts Masters 1000
@@Tennisisreallyfun I had no idea about his 2024 results on clay--before 2024, I considered him a talented underachiever who had all the tools to break-through but never could. But I'm glad he's making a move!

It's so funny how two 1.98m guys kept failing to win their service games in the final set of Barcelona 2019 match. To be honest, I think one of the weak spot Zverev has is his serve. Being almost 2m he should serve way more aces than he currently does. He wasted his natural advantage.
I'm actually happy when those tall guys miss their serves. There's nothing more boring than ace after ace. I'd rather watch paint dry.

@@anseinueseima408 believe me as a tennis player myself (tho not a pro haha) I fully understand and appreciate the game. Obviously the plan as a pro is to win, and aces give you those free points: serve an ace 2 seconds/ walk to the opposite side. Serve another ace 2 seconds walk back🥱
@@anseinueseima408 as a tennis player myself I'm very aware of their perspective albeit not at pro level lol. But my opinion remains the same - that lots of aces in a match is boring. Anyway, Zverev won today and served much better. Happy for him.
