    God, I'm gonna miss Rafa. His retirement will mark the end of one of the greatest eras in tennis history, if not the greatest in terms of clay court tennis. His records on that surface will NEVER be surpassed. Long live the CLAY KING!

      Verdadero, Rafa parecia diseñado a la perfeccion para esa superficie, y aunque Roland Garros no está tan valorado como el US Open o el Asustralian Open, la realidad es que la tierra es la superficie mas dificil y exigente que existe en el tenis, dominar por tantos años seguidos la superficie mas exigente de todas es mucho merito en verdad, un tenista fuera de serie Rafa

      Jejejej nunca habia visto este partido, no conocia mucho a Monfils, sabia que habia un jugador que se llamaba así y que era negro y ya, cuando lo he visto tirar esa dejada quedandose en esa posicion de faker crei que eso iba a enfurecer a Rafa, la verdad que me ha sorprendido que Rafa lo tomase tan bien, pero luego viendo algunos gestos amistosos que ha tenido Monfils y esa sonrisa bondadosa lo he entendido, no se estaba burlando solo disfrutaba dando espectaculo, me ha recordado un poco a Ronaldinho y muy bien Rafa tomandolo con amabilidad pero sin despistarse con su juego jejeje

    Monfils is just clowning as usual. He's got a point though. Obviously the ref could not say a specific time for the receiver to be ready, just saying 5 sec is too fast. I personally don't know if a rule exists. I don't think Rafa took it personal here. If he lost, we might have seen another reaction, no one can tell.

    • @Birdylockso
      @Birdylockso 13 дней назад +4

      The ref did say that Rafa had 15 seconds to get ready, whereas Monfils was allowed 25. I think that's a good rule of thumb, if that THE rule. With it, yes, the receiver should follow the pace of the server but still has at least 15 seconds to get ready. I think it's fair.

    Djoko or Nadal were number one for several reasons. One of them being to disturb the opponent by using their status to bend the rules in their favor... Nadal has been told so many times to tell less times to serve, umpires did not warn him most of the time, Djoko uses fake MTOs, others choose to go to toilets...
    It should be umpire's job to enforce the rules whoever is playing.
