    Jonna, I love your tutorials. I have used this one (2 Point Poncho) which goes extremely fast. I have been up all night working on this. The first 3 hrs were a mix of miss-counting, undoing, redoing until I got it right, by then I was well on my way to make my first poncho. I used your 2C2 and Virus Blanket tutorials as well. They are well explained and repetition is the name of the game for me. You go slow enough and the camera work is so clear, I can see the stitches very well. I agree with Judith Chemotti, you are an excellent teacher. Thank you for taking the time to pass on your knowledge to us fellow "Hookers". Have a great day!!! P.S. I made sure I subscribed to your channel and always drop your name on the F/B crochet group when they ask about tutorial and how to's. Great job!!

    I’m making this one now for my granddaughter for Christmas! Your instructions are so clear and you show us exactly how to do each row. I’m using Lion Brand TruBoo…100% rayon from bamboo and it is so slippery!! lol The pattern is easy-it’s the yarn I’m having trouble with! But it is so beautiful, I have to keep going!! Thank you for teaching us so well and for all your beautiful patterns!! ❤️❤️

    I made two ponchos for myself using this pattern and it is my most favourite poncho pattern! Now I am making one for my niece who is turning 4. I bought your pattern off of Etsy so I can now make this poncho in any size! For my niece I am using 3 colours - lilac, a pretty spring green, and a peachy-pink colour, and I'm using a 3 weight yarn. It's going to be so pretty! I have loads of time to crochet now that I am off work due to COVID-19.

    Can you tell me how do do this for plus sized women? I really just need the chain ratio for this to work out right for when the virus start is. I am looking for up to 5x, which is not included in the pattern on ralvary

    • @JonnaMartinezCrochet
      @JonnaMartinezCrochet  7 лет назад +1

      +Bevela Phipps the sizes are mostly just names. I do believe the Large with a larger hook than recommend and a worsted weight like a red heart with love will work well.
      The regular size for example fits dress size 5-16 in my experience.
      It's mostly how it fits over the shoulders after row 8 of the virus pattern.
      Try the large, if it does not fit send me pics and info on hook and yarn you are using.
      I'm sure I can come up with something, thank you for watching and commenting.

    Jonna, I saved the poncho in my pintrest, hubby isn't working and no employment insurance left so just surviving on his naval pension and hoping he either is able to find another job, my disability pension starts or both. Love the tutorial, can wait to be able to buy the pattern. No money totally sucks.

      Je ne l'ai pas trouvé de multiples claires pour ce motif. J'ai un modèle disponible en 4 tailles en anglais sur ma boutique etsy et Ravelry.

    I did one of these last year. Instead of using one kind of yard, I alternated after each main band of the poncho with four different colors of yarn. It turned out really well!

    I finished this last weekend and love it, I put a photo on Ravelry. It was so easy I surprised myself as I'm just a beginner. The only thing Ill say to other beginners trying it is you really need to keep count of the stitches, I made a couple of small mistakes but managed to hide them but a big mistake would mean lots of frogging. I'm in Australia and it's almost Summer so I won't get to wear it for quite while but can't wait. Thanks again for this great tutorial. 😀

    Love this pattern. I have been looking for a nice poncho pattern and this one is very classy. I made one adjustment, adding in a popcorn stitch in the gap between the shells in round 4 just to challenge myself to do something interesting, and really like the results .

    Je viens de trouver votre vidéo grâce à in groupe de tricot français dont une dame avait fait votre magnifique poncho aux couleurs d'automne ! Merci pour cette super vidéo si bien expliquée ! Il ne me reste plus qu'à trouver la laine pour le réaliser mais je suis très débutante en crochet, du moins, n'ai jamais fait de grandes réalisations ! Un grand merci de partager votre savoir ❤

    I made one of these using these video instructions using Red Heart Ombré, and the shade shift was perfect for this poncho. In the worsted weight, the neckline is a bit large, but good for many BBWs. My next will be Lion Brand Mandala, 3 weight, in the Troll colors.

    I love that you have turned the virus pattern into a poncho! So beautiful. I'm making this in Caron Big Cakes, in the colour cherry compote, but I might have to get some of that Red Heart Unforgettable yarn because it's so pretty too! I might make one in black, too.
