    Thank you for this tutorial done your lost shoals shawl in the pandemic in the uk it kept me sane bruising my mind
    And now I’ve done this poncho it’s the first item of clothing I have made with crochet I’ve not wore the poncho yet waiting to hear thought about it 😀 might slip it on in the garden or wate for someone to love this particular one and gift it
    In the uk we can sell these fo for about 60 uk pounds but the amount of effort I have put Int the poncho it is priceless
    So doing another one in bernat sattin got a bargain from eBay 😀 I like the couler way of the second one better

    Thanks for working on this so determinedly! Even with your careful instructions, I still had trouble getting it right, lol. Of course, I was awakened this morning-before I wanted to be-by the cat. I have crocheted virus shawls in the past and my idea for a poncho was to attach two virus shawls together at the shoulders. But I never got around to it, and your poncho is much faster, easier and less bulky. All positives!

    I did a loose chain to start but found I was having trouble identifying the chain for the next dc . So I went back and did a sc in each chain and that made it easier to see the correct stitch to put the next dc in.

    I love watching this tutorial. I hold my yarn and crochet hook exactly like you do and it looks like my hands crocheting. The only difference is...

    I'm getting my yarn and doing my chain
    and starting the video from the beginning....to see if I can keep up with you. I love this poncho !
    I hope I don't have 'double' vision, watching you AND me , crocheting at the same time🤪 I'm picturing myself, as the caterpiller in your Alice in Wonderland reading....sitting upright, and having two or more sets of hands, all crocheting at the same time ! 🐛

    i'm working on the same thing, only virus meets granny stitch, i started it with a 4 point granny stitch, poncho , i chained 100, dbl 24, 2 dbl ch2 2 dbl for corner, then worked granny for eight rows, then i dbl crocheted in all stitches with 3 dbl 2 ch 3 dbl in the corner, then worked virus part twice, then 8 rows of granny, hope you get this lol, how unusual am using same color, you could probably make the neck line smaller

    Hi Fiber... a question... which of your patterns would be better to make a Spring/Fall blanket?
    Like Goldilocks porridge... not too hot, not too cold... that "just right" throw to take the chill off the night. And which yarn?

      How about the Which Way Filet or The Diamonds Filet Blanket? Worsted or a weight of 3 works well.

    Have you ever thought of wearing a shawl with the pointed sides running down your arms? I have an idea to turn up the pointed and and sew an artsy button in place there, and crochet a band to fit my wrist through to keep it in place not really a cup just a small enough band that if I decide to wear the different way it's not a problem and it doesn't show

    This is such a wonderful pattern! I want to try and make this, or a vitus shawl, using several yarns instead of an ombre or variegated yarn. I am stumped on how to weave in ends in this pattern. Do you have any suggestions?

    Had to use caron cake bumbleberry because the closest places to buy yarn don't carry Red Heart! Maybe someone could clue Michael's and Hobby Lobby to carry yarn made in the USA? I normally do not shop Michael's, and remembered why.........

      It's only two points. You technically could wear it sideways, but I don't think I would.

      The initial chain length would be the same. For a larger size just keep repeating the 4 rows till its big enough.

      @@FiberSpider thank you, I actually increased it to 136 chains and followed the chain 7 SC chain 4 SC and ended up with one more chain 7 and 3 chain 4 on each half. Fingers crossed it works.

      @@milagrosgropp2541 well I used about 600/700 yrds of worsted weight yarn, and that's based on my size. My suggestion is to always buy more yarn than you think you'll need and return what you don't use.
