This is lovely! I love that it is a combination of simple things I know. I am excited to try the sleeves. Your tutorial is easy to follow. Thank you so much for sharing!
So cool! I really love this design and can't wait to make one of my own. That fringe! It's a technique I've never seen before and I've been crocheting for 50 years! Brilliant!❤😊
❓❓I was wondering... how easy would it be easy to add a hood? Your multicolored poncho is so beautiful ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ I've decided to buy the pattern so I can get yarn quantities for a multicolored size XL. My friend in Peru is going to bring me some really nice baby alpaca blend yarn when he visits in a few months. I can hardly wait to try making this! Thanks again. I very much appreciate your sharing this video! 🤗 I do so much better at crochet projects when I can watch someone to learn how to do something. Have a great crochet day!😊
Love this version of an old favorite! Would love to start it now but I am going to be disciplined and finish a couple WIPs. 😊 I’m saving the pattern for later. ❤
I just finished mine!!! I opted for no fringe. This is a great pattern. Super easy! I've already worn it's twice, I rarely make something I can functionally wear. For the sleeves I did do 12 clusters & I did sc 2 , sc2tog across to make the sleeve a bit smaller then I did the ribbed sleeve attaching as I went along.
Ich verstehe akustisch nur die Hälfte von dem, was du sagst. Jedoch ist dein Tutorial so wunderbar erklärt, dass mir meine Augen den Rest erzählen. Herzlichen Grüße aus Deutschland
This is absolutely gorgeous. I just have two suggestions - 1) slowing down and pausing more in between instructions would be really helpful and 2) this is going to sound weird but changing your nail polish color so it doesn’t blend with the yarn would be really helpful!
@farahhanley6496 If you need to pause, touch the video and press the pause button in the middle. If you need to slow down the video, touch the video and in the upper right is a gear icon. Touch that and select playback speed and then select the speed you want.
I love this. Brilliant design! And I love the twisted fringe too, I never thought of doing it that way. I used to make twisted ties for bonnets like this.
I plan to make this sleeves. Love it. I joined the CAL last week, but haven' figured out how to find the member connection. I paid the $35. thanks for your help.
www.hanjancrochet.com/granny-square-poncho-pattern/ All explained on my blog post - Three Colour Option Yarn A: 350 (570, 770)yds; 2 (3, 4) balls. Yarns B and C: 175 (285, 385)yds; 1 (2, 2) balls.
This looks fabulous and so far I have made the square and struggling with the corners. Also would it be possible for me to knit the neck on circular knitting needles instead of crochet? Not a proficient crocheter. Thank you for the video.
Would you mind telling me, what colors did you use in the poncho with sleeves. My daughter loves this poncho & wants it in those exact colors! Thank you.
Just wondering if you make this useing a soild granny square... ?? I was going to make a different sweater but it didn't work out then I saw your video I was wondering if you can use solid granny squares in this pattern??
Such a great design, thank you. Forgive me if I am being stupid but the free pattern for the simple granny stitch version on the blog says to do the ss row all around the edge of the yoke, and then the next row of dc groups are done into the blo of ss. In the video you are working into both loops of the stitches. You say in the video the ss row is optional. So does the blo instruction only apply if doing the ss row? Thanks
Yes, that's right :) If you do the slip stitches then always work into the blo but if you leave it out then don't worry and work through the whole stitch (unless you prefer the look of the blo of course!).
Hi … I’m not sure if I’ve read enough, but I bought the pattern specifically first the granny square V sweater … Every where I look it says 219 yards. I KNOW this can’t be right for a whole sweater. Hi, thanks for your message. If you have already have the Adult Franny Granny Square Sweater pattern, you'll find the yarn amounts all listed out on page 4. You'll need to work out roughly the % of the 2 colours you want to work with, as the yarn amounts are given as a total. Hope that helps 🙂
@@hanjancrochet3553 … thank you for responding … I was looking over the pattern again, and can’t believe I missed that part. I think 8n was just in a hurry to order the yarn, that I did t focus on it … everything looks very well explained. Again, thank yo7 for your prompt response ❤️
The written pattern sounds like you turn after finishing each color/round??? However that doesnt look like what is done here? Can somebody confirm if i need to be turning? I haven't and the point is getting slightly offset as I go. Do I need to rip it all out and start over?
I started his pattern but i'm confused, in the main body it says starting in row 4 to increase by two 3dc groups on each round, but i can't find in the pattern where to place the increase. Do i place the extra group in one space randomly in the row? or should i place the extra one in the shoulder area or the point? thank you.
The increase happens when you do the corners (3dc, ch2, 3dc). Just follow the pattern (repeating round 2) and you will automatically increase by 2 each time. It is just saying that in the pattern, so that you can check your stitch count. Hope that helps 🙂
I have been looking for a pattern like this for absolutely ages and have never been able to find one ~ Thank you so much ~ much appreciated!!

Beautiful
Neat concept, I’m a small framed women so this type of poncho would work for me, except for the neck line.
Thank you - there are lots of variations / adjustments in the pattern to suit individuals
You could do a set of half double crochets to decrease the size of the head hole.
This is gorgeous!
Thank you!
Eeeekkk my yarns arrived to make this beauty ❤
Yay! What colours did you go for?

Love this granny square poncho. But haven't been able to find a written pattern is there one

All explained on my blog post -
Three Colour Option
Yarn A: 350 (570, 770)yds; 2 (3, 4) balls.
You can definitely do that! Just pick up and knit as you’d like it 😊
Do you have an image of the construction of the yoke it would be helpful.
There’s a really detailed diagram included in the pattern PDF 😊
Look at 15:55 minutes for the image of layout.
Çok güzel olmuş ellerine emeğine sağlık bayıldım. Keşke Türkçe altyazılı ile birlikte dinleme fırsatı bulsam ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
I think I’d have to divide for the sleeves at the armpit, not the elbow, so that I can move my upper arms properly.
You are of course welcome to adjust it to fit. There are lots of options for adjusting the fit in the blogpost 🙂
I'm struggling with seaming them together. How many stitches are you working between each square please?
Would you mind telling me, what colors did you use in the poncho with sleeves. My daughter loves this poncho & wants it in those exact colors! Thank you.
Just wondering if you make this useing a soild granny square... ?? I was going to make a different sweater but it didn't work out then I saw your video I was wondering if you can use solid granny squares in this pattern??
Yes absolutely! That would work really nicely 😊
I have a question. Did you saw the sides together?
I didn’t but you absolutely can if you’d like to 😊
Hi I'm struggling with the neck band I'm doing a size medium but the neck seems to be too wide if I slipped 3 stitches instead of 2 would that work
Yes! That would work really well or you could go down a hook size too 😊
Such a great design, thank you. Forgive me if I am being stupid but the free pattern for the simple granny stitch version on the blog says to do the ss row all around the edge of the yoke, and then the next row of dc groups are done into the blo of ss. Cannot see what you are doing on the twist, your working hand is outside the cammara frame.
Sorry about that! I’m just rotating my hand to twist the yarn 😊
Is it possible to crochet the collar, then attach?
Absolutely!
How do I find the tutorial for the sweater version? And the pattern. I’m more of a visual learner
It launches tomorrow as part of a fabulous crochet along! www.hanjancrochet.com/granny-crochet-along/
Will your color choices be included in the pattern?
Absolutely. You can find the list on the blogpost or in the PDF pattern www.hanjancrochet.com/granny-square-poncho-pattern/
What size are you making in this video?
I’m making the second size in the pattern L-2xl
Is there a list of the exact colors used. Or is it the whole pallet of the alpaca blend
Absolutely! They are all listed on the blogpost: www.hanjancrochet.com/granny-square-poncho-pattern/
I am blind, I didn't see it. My apologies! They work so beautifully together 😍
How do i get the pattern ?
You can find all the details here: www.hanjancrochet.com/granny-crochet-along/
