Dear Craig, thank you for your advice to go back and check every so often. This is so important. I once realised a double crochet cluster 3 rows back was wrong, and my conscience made me undo all 3 rows of a shawl! Tough lesson! So I would urge crocheters to look back every 50-70 stitches or so to see it looks right.

I am currently crocheting this shawl with you. This is not my first time spending crochet time with you. I just wanted to let you know that I really love your style and method of teaching. I've crocheted for years, but am never done learning something new. Thanks for being patient and thorough. I also enjoy the sound of your voice, which is extremely important to me as I have a low tolerance for certain sounds and tempos. If I find someone's voice irritating, I will not participate no matter how beautiful the pattern. Again, thank you for making this crochet a long experience enjoyable for me. Keep up the good work. 😊

YOU, DEAR SIR, ARE FREAKING FANTASTIC! First let me get my many thanks out of the way: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! I can only crochet BECAUSE OF YOU. LITERALLY. Dont know what magic you have in that hook of yours, but its got it..its in there. Seriously !😄 After dozens of videos, websites, books, hand puppets (ok i may have made up that last one 😁) and STILL lacking the ability to crochet, to say I was pissed, frustrated, and wanting to stab my crochet hooks in someones eyes .. or possibly even my own...😅 was an understatement. Then here you come, one video, and BAM! Life-changing understanding going on here people!! So again, many MANY T H ANKS to you! I shall be forever grateful more than you know or I can say. It still makes me smile every single time I click on a crochet video and find its a gentleman in the video. My heart literally smiles. I love seeing what you will create and your spin on things. What would I do if you jad not picked up a crochet hook?!?
Yeah, welI dont know either but I DO KNOW it wouldnt be crocheting!!! 😅 I So thanks for that! THANK YOU!
LOVE YOU! LOVE YOUR WORK! SUBSCRIBED! 4 LIFE!

Hi Lynn, I have a question (if you are using the same kind of multicolor yarn). Do you need to cut the yarn when you want a row of a different color, then re-attach? I do not see anything about having to do that in the videos, yet the rows look like there are no color changes mid-row. I am holding off ordering the yarn for this shawl until I can find out. Thanks!

@@lynns9567 Thank you for the reply; I really appreciate it. I ended up getting the Mandala yarn in the Warlock color, because I happened to be shopping at a Walmart and they had it there. I think the video shawl was made in the Caron Poached Pear and also in the Mandala Warlock (two different shawls), so I figured I would be safe with either one. Thanks for telling me about the Red Heart Unforgettable yarn. I will look into that!

Thank you Fiber Spider for such a wonderful tutorial. I have two on the go as I could not decide which Yarn I wanted to use the most. You have a very calming and peaceful voice which makes it easy to follow your instructions. Last night I even listened to one of your short stories....😁 67 year old listening to Rapunzal which I did enjoy. Thanks once again for all the time you give to helping us crocheters.

Love listening to you, you have a very soothing voice. A friend of mine showed this shawl to me, but she used a heavier weight yarn and the shawl came out heavy and somewhat stiff, though beautiful. I think using the mandala with a 5.5 hook is going to make this light and airy with a beautiful drape. Again, teach on and I will follow.

I have just finished making this blanket for my second great grandchild due in two weeks. I unravelled a white pullover and this made up into a lovely blanket. I was so pleased with the pattern, it looks lovely (she says modestly). Now I’m looking for the next project on your tutorials. Great fun, thanks so much.

Wow, what a great shawl!! I cannot wait to start on it. I have to tell you, your tutorial is the most soothing to watch. I love how clear you are on what mistakes are easily made. I have been there too and sometimes it takes more than a minute to figure out where I messed up. Now, I don't have to worry about that. There are not too many crochet teachers on RUclips that inspire and actually teach well. You are one of the best. Thank you. Like I said I cannot wait to start on it. I just finished 2 shawls that seemed like they took for ever. I think this one will move along much quicker. Thank you so much Mr Spider!!

Thank you for making this complicated looking pattern easy. I am left handed and have always struggled to crochet anything more than a simple dish cloth. I just finished this using Red Heart Ombre in spearmint. I love it! It's beautiful and I am very proud.
