I have been crocheting for a very long time! Life and children and so on sometimes got in the way. Well now I am retired and have fallen in love with crocheting again and you are the amazing person who has all these great tutorials! My goal is to make ever one of your shawl tutorials! Have now made four, and then someone would say oh gram or mom I really like that and it’s gone. So I keep on my task . Thank You ! ♥️❤️♥️❤️

I love this tutorial. I am a 70 year old mother of three and grandmother of two. I have been knitting since I was seven years old. Being a lefty I could crochet scarves ,slippers and blankets but always had trouble reversing the shaping for necks and armholes. And I did prefer knitting for garments. Granny squares saved my sanity when I broke my left elbow and right leg just above the knee in 2006. I was pretty much unable to do much of anything for about 6 months. Once I got out of the hospital bed and could sit in a recliner I quickly spotted a basket of yarn and a crochet hook and started making granny squares. I could hold the hook in my left hand against my left side and make my right hand do most office work. Made 2 beautiful granny squares blankets using a quilting layout of the different colors for a couple of my Church ladies who help my family take care of me. One got my house organized and the other one loved to cook. Yarn is my Therapy and that is the name of our group at the Mt Si Senior Ctr in North Bend , Washington. Life has changed since the virus entered our world we keep in touch by phone and are anxious roe the tone when we can get together and have “Show and Tell” thank you” Spidey” for sharing your beautiful patterns and tutorials with us. You are a blessing all us Yarnivours 😋💕💕💕👍🏻👌

I'm a shawl virgin 😂 I self taught with videos 8 years ago. I have always stayed in a comfort zone of hats and dishcloths. Since I joined a crochet group on fb I seen this shawl and melted. Finding your videos was a huge bonus!! I love your patience, like having the best crochet buddy ever!! Thank you for sharing your talents. This mandala warlock yarn is one I just happened to have bought a month ago, so it was awesome that you chose that. It's a bear of a tangled mess to start the middle. I'm just now to the 2nd row of grannies, it's making the color change and finally not tangled. ❤️

fiber spider aka craig, i am a recently retired case worker with abused women annd children in toronto canada and have taken up crocheting to fill my time. i cannot tell you how much i enjoy your tutorials and patterns, sense of humor and honest care for people like me who would not be able to make the amazing things i have if i had to read a pattern. i have amazed myself with the amazing shawls i have made following your tutorials. thank you, thank you, thank you. I must add that you make me smile and laugh as i am creating along with you and that adds so much to the enjoyment of finally learning how to do what i have wanted to do for years. I love hearing the rain in the background of your videos for as like you i love the rain, the sound of it at least, maybe not so much being in it as i did when i was kid. Please don't ever stop creating and sharing with us.

You have made it so simple to follow I almost feel confident enough for the granny rows on my own. I did make a mistake early on on the virus row but I think I saved it without frogging everything. Thank you again so much and I will see you again on part 3!

  • @KentuckyWoman2

Finally finished it! I'm a big gal so I made a "plus size" version to make it long enough to go down my arms. That made the "tail" of it almost too long, so I might make it again in a different colorway, with a little less yarn. As it was, I used two full skeins and probably about 1/3 of a third one. I must say, although I was a tad disappointed that the original colorway was discontinued, I do like the final version of the Warlock colorway. And since it's a lighter weight yarn, it's perfect for Spring and Summer. Thank you so much for your videos! I couldn't have done it without them!

You are truly a pleasure. I love your soothing voice. I feel like I have a crochet partner right here with me. You have a great personality. Your instruction is on point. Most enjoyable tutorial I have watched. Thank you 😊

I wanted to say Thank you to you for these videos. I have only been crocheting for about 3 weeks and I am currently attempting this shawl. Your explanations and teachings are so easy to understand even for a beginner like me.
I also loved getting to the granny shawl part of the pattern because my brain had to really think about the virus part of the pattern and I did quite a bit of frogging along the way. :P So it was nice to be able to relax for a bit and just do simple stitches. :D Thank you Fiber Spider, You Rock! P.S. Your voice is so calming and it's a pleasure to listen to! :) x

Loving this stitch along with you. I have done the virus shawl in the past but love this variation it’s perfect for some yarn I just purchased in beautiful forests colours with some sparkle in it. 🥳🥳
