She is condemned to be BEAUTIFUL art for eternity.
☺️❤️
Thank you for sharing your mistakes and your efforts to not be so precise. I think it's something many of us struggle with 🥰
These turned out very well. I love that you just go for it! Also that you embrace mistakes and roll with it. ❤️🤗
All of the cards turned out so beautiful and fun. Great idea to use them as journal cover toppers, too.
I love these - my favorite part is the hand sewing. I’m also a weirdo who finds it relaxing 😉
Loved the book cover how it turned in the cabinet card choice was so perfect so vintage.
Love, love, love ❤ thank you Barbara for the inspiration 😘
Also, love the tissue paper on the thicker paper idea. That's going on my list of techniques to try.
Love these cabinet Cards. Love the technique and the look of all of these. Super cool and unique.
oh wow lol - i love this Barbara - will give this technique a try - thank you xx🤗
These are so freaking cool. Love them❤❤❤❤ that book cover is gorgeous Barbara 😮
Between you and Louise, the ideas are endless. Love these cards. Years ago I went through a phase of making paper and of course adding flower elements. I ultimately put it through my printer and didn’t ruin it (I was more adventurous and it was a cheap printer). Made many prints and gave them away. Can’t wait to see what you do next. I’m headed over now to purchase some of the cards. As always, thank you for sharing. Stay safe and warm.
Thanks so much! ❤️
Such a gorgeous idea. I must try if my printer wants to "eat" this.
Ahh, the most cutest little condemned girl! What a great book cover. It would be awesome to do a similar treatment to an old family photo or grandparents photo, and put it on an altered book. Thanks for getting some wonderful ideas flowing! 🤗❤️ Tamara
Love that you didn’t stop with printing. Condemned girl on the book cover is so cool!
Super c0oL techniques! I can't wait to try it! Your journal cover looks really neat too..... maybe kinda eerie. 🤔
Like a haunted house journal. I'll look forward to seeing what journal you make for it. Amazing inspiration as always! ❤
Very cool prints and kintsugi. Love the effects. Stitching is a wonderful finishing touch! You did it again!😊
Love the texture with light coat of guilding wax. The delicate stitching makes a wonderful layer, too!😊
Liebe Barbara, vielen Dank für dein inspirierendes Video. Da weiß ich, was ich heute kreatives machen werde 🥰 lg Kerstin
Viel Vergnügen ❤️😃
Thanks for tips. Love these cards😊
I’m always blown away by your creativity! These are so cool! ❤
I wasn't sure that the bright prints would work with the vintage photos... was proven very wrong! TFS 😊
This is so creative! Thanks for sharing!❤
Definitely funky 😄
Super cool! Very different. Love how they turned out. The book cover looks awesome! They would make some really cool tags too!
Barbara - love this! Very unique & interesting! Thanks for sharing
So cool! Love the broach also!
These are really neat! Thank you so much, for sharing. ❤
Fun idea, much better then trying to make digital prints look old. Love this!
So cool!!🤩 I'm DEFinitely giving this a try! Tyfs 💖
I LOVE these! I have many family antique photos I want to do this with!!
These are awesome! For people that don’t want to put those through the printer, you could just scan the stenciled paper first, then using Canva (or other image editor) add the photos onto the stenciled image and *then* glue the paper to the cardstock (with wrinkles and tears if you want them).
I love these Barbara thanks for sharing 🥰
Wow, I really love these so imaginative. Such a fun idea
You are amazingly creative!
wow I love the foto's...and the stitces looks great.
So funky 🎉I love it
Wow - these are stunning!
You are so very creative - a joy to watch and listen to😊
Absolutely love this tutorial Barbara!🎉 And thank you soooo much for sharing info about the printers! I'm shopping for one now and wanted one that is frugal with the ink! Happy crafting!🌈🌺🥰🙋♀️
What a great way to make these found photos of people into your own family and friends!
Love it
❤️ TFS! Your work is amazing!
I had two issues, but you solved them before I had the chance to present them to you... first was my printer and getting anything but printer paper or card stock to go through it (tho I did dream up some clever - I think - ideas trying to figure out how to do what you did...) your way, namely coming to your shop, is MUCH easier. Second, how was I going to be specific enough to tell you my favorite card? Not a problem after all because I really do love each of them, tho it makes me sad to see a child with the word "condemned " stamped over her head. Love you sweetheart, thanks for the inspiration! Hugs, MomK 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗
Really lovey.
I really love this!😊
Amazing!
wonderful video!
Lovely! Such a neat technique! Again, that alcohol ink droppage adds that finishing touch! TFS the inspiration!
So inspiring! :)
I love the hand stitching. It adds so much depth to they cards. Brings them to life. Love your new printer. At the same time I’m so sad for your sewing machine. If it can’t be repaired, the bright side would be that you could get a new one with a choice of fancy stitches. And they have some that really aren’t too pricey. Thanks for sharing today. This was fun. I love the word Fodder. It makes me happy. Lol♥️♥️♥️
Thank you so much! Thankfully I managed to repair it ☺️❤️
I really just adore these funky cabinet cards. SO glad I found you and this project, as I have a TON of these types of photos in my studio! Thanks so much for this share!
interesting process
I bought myself an Epson Eco Tank printer for Christmas and I LOVE it SO MUCH!
Love these cards. That stitching really added to them. The book cover turned out great! TFS Barbara! ❤
It's totally funky! Looks supper amazing! Thank you so much for shearing!
Thanks! such a great idea (Phyllis)
I have friends all over Austria including Wein. Great tutorial! Love how it turned out!
Love, love the condemned little girl.
This is inappropriate ~ if In fact she’s referring to the Holocaust~ condemned???? A little girl? I urge her to take this portion off her video~ it’s cold hearted and insincere .. am I missing something?
Oh wow! Another great idea! I'm working my way through the process - at present my packaging paper is drying. I don't have any distress ink sprays, so I used water colours with my stencils, and then spritzed on my Mica Spray for the metallic effect, as I also don't have any gilding wax. Now I just have to find some images that I want to print. Then I'm looking forward to the slow stitching - so thank you very much for showing us some different options. 🧡💚🤎
Hmmm. I've just realised that the mica effect won't come out after printing. Still, I can add more later, and I will have some cool original collage fodder as well. 😊
Wonderful! Have fun! ❤️😊
@@49dragonflies P.S. in the end, I decided that I wasn't confident about putting my 'paper'/card through the printer, so I used a single layer of a beautiful serviette/napkin tissue instead, and I'm very happy with the results. 😊
Fantastic ideas, Barbara!! Love them all🎉❤
Those turned out beautifully. ❤
Barbara:great work! Carol from California
That is a fabulous book cover!
So creative and accidental all at once!
Really cool idea! Hugs and blessings, ❤️🤗🇨🇦
They look great…. What a great idea
The two tone spraying is gorgeous 😍. Oh I love my epsons. I've got an office one too, a3 workforce with scanner and I love it. Oh so cool printed on the patterns! The stormy sky ones are definitely my favourites😍. Lol love your finger glove 😄. Oh no 🙈 condemned girl 🙊. That turned out so cool 😎. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
I absolutely loooove these! What a great technique, I'd love to try it, TFS!
I love this process!
Really creative Barbara!! Love it!
These are gorgeous!
Toll,Barbara, echt super schön!❤❤❤❤
Das ist eine so super Sache. So toll geworden. ❤
wow, these turned out great and I busted saved bunch of packing paper the other day so have to try it...thanks
❤❤❤❤

🤩🤩🤩
MARAVILLOSOOOOOO ❤
I opted for an Epson workforce over the ecotank for budget reasons and it prints beautifully!
Saw those gloves rright away. Knew it was gonna get intense!
🤣
Ich habe auch den Epson Eco Tank (in klein)... mega!!! Bester Kauf ever. :)) - Love your videos
Die sind wirklich super! 😃
❤️❤️❤️
😍
Hey, thanks for creative and fun video! 🎉 I so enjoyed (vicariously) when you would pull the stencil up the second with the excess residue of inks! So satisfying! LOL also enjoyed seeing the small detail of the stitching, it was just the right element to add. But I do have a "stupid" question, what is a (cabinet card) ?
Thanks! The cabinet card was a style of photograph which was widely used for photographic portraiture after 1870. It consisted of a thin photograph mounted on a card typically measuring 108 by 165 mm (4+1⁄4 by 6+1⁄2 inches).
Hi Barbara, i Hope you are well 😊... I love so much the result it's so beautiful... I have a printer Epson ecotank but im si afraid to print on this paper with collage because thé surface isnt plat and the printing Can to do break the printer ? What do you think ? 🧐 ... Take care of you Big kiss 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks! It works on mine as you saw, but it was a risk. If you don’t feel comfortable about it, you can always get the digital version ☺️
Hi! Have you ever done a tutorial or provided instructions re how to make a stick spine for a journal? I love the one you made in your recent memory workshop. I wish I could have attended it but alas too far!
I show it in this video towards the end, but it’s a different method to what Alex does in her course: ruclips.net/video/qM1OQxQutok/видео.html
I am always afraid to put media papers into my printer. These came out perfect
My printer doesn't like thicker paper, so i scanned the media paper and printed out the papers, (If colours are strong you may need to print on draft) then I printed my cabinet cards over this. you don't get the creases to gild.
In the U.S. you can get the fingers from the gloves by themselves in pharmacies. They are called finger condoms. 😂
They are finger cots. You can buy them by the box. 24:55
@@bethpowel6054 in our pharmacy, they are called finger condoms. In others they are finger cots. Same thing. Lol
What kind of paper are you using?
200gsm copy paper
What are cabinet cards?
Looked it up. 1800s photograph printed on heavy stock. Usually 4x6.
