Remembering eating the salted/ sweet pickled radish thinly sliced and cooked with minced pork with garlic , sliced red chilli served with rice porridge. This was the side dish apart from ikan bilis being the side dish my beloved mum makes when I am unwell to make it easier for the bland rice porridge to be eaten.
I discovered the channel recently while looking for kaya recipes but I didn't realise Mama Yeow was Poh's mum! Is char da kueh the same as char koay kak?

Great! What's the alternative to microwaving? Can I stir with cool water, then add boiling water?

The ingredients list doesn't quite match what is said in the video. The list of ingredients doesn't mention cornflour.
