I picked these up in October absolutely randomly as a suggested purchase from B&H. Did the research and bought one. I now own 4. On my tripods, they have an additional screw at the bottom to secure the system to the tripod or other bases. Additionally, there is a small screw inside the quick release mount that locks it to the tripod head. Last week I covered an event and continuously had to break down and set up in a new location. Being able to remove the entire head with the camera allowed me to keep the tripod smaller and lighter as I walked through the event. Got where I needed to set up and locked it on. My biggest concern is the lack of positive LOCK click when you twist it to tighten. Honestly, it’s a bit of an oversight in terms of security/safety. It is fairly easy to twist it so one day it MAY fall off.

Looks like you need a better tripod, it looks as stable as a jelly.
