The rubber cups at each end of the poles will leave a mark (round dark ring) on the ceiling. I suggest placing a small sandwich bag over the end of each pole before putting it in place. Especially if you plan on leaving them in place for an extended length of time.

I tried to install these in my studio, cement ceiling etc. I thought when you clamp down the handle that the top pole would actually move it up a bit and then clamp down tight. It only tightens around the pole. I moved it a bit to check and it slipped and every time. I want to add 3 paper rolls and I don’t think I’m keeping them. Just my thoughts.

EXCELLENT video. Subscribed! What if your space is like 13' from wall to wall... do they make a 14' or 15' pole? I'd rather ceiling-mount it, than floor-to-ceiling which wouldn't be as useful. Thanks!

@@DeafDirector THANKS. Exactly what I was looking for. It should be sturdy enough to mount like a few CFL lights (without softboxes... I just mount the head itself, less bulk.. haha) and some type of mount for a mirrorless DSLR, I think... mic/arm? I think all of that stuff should be light enough for the total weight.... thanks again, so much!

Hi - great review; so you have used this from floor to ceiling....how about using this from wall to wall. That way you can place the pole high towards the ceiling and hang lights and cameras for overhead shots. Could this be mounted across a room wall to wall?

    • @DeafDirector
