Hey Chris! You are one of the few guys that actually reviews gear consistently that I'm interested in and makes it entertaining and informative. I really appreciate that you make these videos.
WARNING... Even though I enjoyed this video and agree this vest is AMAZING (I own one), be sure NOT to follow the instructions given at around minute 8:10 that involves tilting. DO NOT use that knob for tilting because that will completely ruin and strip the gear. Instead, position the SILVER knobs more perpendicular to your body and then USE the SILVER knob to do the tilting. This is very important, or else you will ruin your gear pretty quickly because the knob pointed out in this video is not supposed to be used for tilting the gimbal.
Love this idea! But my big question is, can you tell me about how that Anton Bauer base handles on the Ronin RS2? Do you have a video about using it on the gimbal?
Chris I f***** love your videos. Helps me so much with getting kit etc. Just love the way you do your videos. Ledge! One question. Do I have to balance my gimball and this kit before I can use it?
Great video. I just picked this item up today. I'm thinking it may be a faulty model... No matter how loose I make the 2 knobs on the arm, it still points upward. I can push it down with some force, but then it pops right back up. Am I doing something wrong, or does it sound like I may have gotten a dud and need to return?
interesting, but i have no screw to ajust the side movements at the arm, just 2 for up und down. Whats wrong. Do I need a seprate screw for adjusting the side movements? Thanks for the nice video!

You said about tilting up and down the gimbal clamp, but can it rotate left and right? Thinking if I would attach the RS2 to a tripod, and essentially get a Thanos PRO II, or Tilta Float style thing going on
Takes the weight off but it’s super limiting for run and gun getting angles of all types. Shame as it looked promising. Thanks Chris for the review good work as always on bringing new product ideas to us
Hello . Thanks you for this work . I’m using the new Rs3 with the Thanos SE but I have difficulty to put the gimbal in the arm attachment if I want it to be align correctly . So I need to twist it to 90 degrés. To get it right align in the middle of the arm and use correctly the pan. I don’t know if it the good way . If I put it in the regular way without twist it , it looks like the arm not align with it and it is strange with the pan . Correct ? I saw that you are using the adaptateur 1/4 screw in your video . But I don’t understand how you can remove so quickly the tripod and fixe the Ronin in one clic …. What is your quick release are you using to do it ?? Ulanzi falcam F38 ? Or similar ? Because I can’t imagine to do this with unscrew all the time the tripod and screw the gimbal on the adaptateur … sorry for my English . I hope it is enough clear .This point is very important for me and I think it is very confusing . Thanks for your answer .
curious as to your thoughts now that a year has passed. im primarily looking into the thanos as an easyrig substitute. If I have to stand around for an hour with the RS2 I just want a support, which this seems to be custom made. How is the fit and comfort? is it pretty good support for your back and where's the weight distribution most felt? thanks so much for the review
Can anyone help me determine would this mount be viable for 2-3h long nature hiking videos? What is the approximate combined weight of this mount, gimbal, and a dslr? Am I crazy for asking? I would really appreciate an answer!
That info was incorrect, not sure why he hasn’t corrected himself, his gimbal is technically mounted sideways, there’s another knob that controls tilt that isn’t geared
@@btsmetramedia814 the gimbal is mounted side ways, which means the tilt axis is acting as a sideways rotation handle instead, I promise you if you buy it and take 12 seconds to read the manual you’ll figure it out
I enjoy your videos. The only thought I have is that you are at such a risk trusting a 1/4 20 screw to hold your heavy rig of expensive gear on the Thanos. I have unfortunately broken a expensive light using a 1/4 20 screw on a monopod. Sucked.
Bought this last week , and when i do ninja work still the footage are shaky may be with that spring, don't know how u guys shoot while walking ... just wasted my money on this...

1/4 screw holding all this weight... idk man. If only would be a 3/8 screw
Incorrect design. The front mount gives a load to the lower back. And all the load should be carried out on the hips! The arm must be attached to the side. Неправильная конструкция. Переднее крепление дает нагрузку на поясницу. А вся нагрузка должна осуществляться на бедра! Крепление руки должно быть с боку.

The head nod as soon as you said "you look like an idiot while ninja walking" lol EPIC!!! 5:56
hahaha
After many years, I still can't help but feel a little self conscious when I ninja, but the footage proves me/us right. 😅
You're like the only guy that answers the questions I actually have without being annoying or wasting time. We love Chris 🏆
Right 😅
That.. "That's what she said": The office reference is wild!! LOLOl !

Learning is the spice of life, indeed!!!
I’m enjoying the random camera/gear hacks on your channel 👌🏻
great to hear!
Great video Chris! I know this has been on the market for some time as I have had my eye on it. Looks like a great budget option for this type of rig!
Love this idea! But my big question is, can you tell me about how that Anton Bauer base handles on the Ronin RS2? Do you have a video about using it on the gimbal?
Yep! Couple weeks back. Works a charm
Well Chris you could use the dji tracking feature that would definitely be the ultimate hands free vlog setup😳
Very sweet set up for somebody who needs to hold that rig all day fairy clever. Great video as always bro!
Hold on for dear life in the back of the truck🤣🤣🤣 We've been doing that when we were kids🤣🤣🤣 and it's normal
very informative video. Thank you and thumbs up!
Appreciate you
My wife said I cant watch you anymore…lol
Was in love until @8:23
Great video nonetheless
Really cool! Looks like someone would call the bomb squad after seeing me walk around sporting it, but worth it! 😎
hahaha
So much fun!
Focus pulling on point 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Amazing work! Did I miss the link for the quick release scip for gimble stand? Cheers in advance

The song used in the portion of the video where you guys are filming at the ball park?

How was it limiting? I'm considering getting this rig to go with my A6700, 35-150, and RS3 Pro setup to do events as a side hustle and to sell B-roll.
Awsome! What is that batter under the camera? I am really interested.
Thank you so much for this ... Finally will get to use my RS2 Pro after 2 years of ownership and 0 mileage due to bad back 😂
Would love to see the Ronin4D on this full video
It's me or the "without" is smoother? 6:11
i was thinking the same
does this reach eye level for self taping?
Found the golden channel good on me
Appreciate you

Hey Chris. How high can you rise the camera with the Thanos se?
Looks good, but the way you snapped the motorized gimbal on just looks like it will snap off just as easy. That makes me feel uneasy😮
It’s superior
Eating donut while running! 🤣🤣🤣 Try pizza though! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Are you able to operate the gimble in underslung mode?
Chris- I wouldn’t show up to a wedding with this
JPM- hold my beer 🍺 😅
You should turn this into a reel 😂
@@chrisbrockhurst 😂😂😂😂😂😂
BRO! I literally thought about you when he said that!! And I just used the Thanos SE for a wedding last month. Lol. It was clutch!

can you still use FPV mode with this?
How did you affix the R4D to this?

Lol, this was probably sent to him for review. He probably returned it within a week.
Do you have older version?

How can i attach it with my tilta ring grip?
Great video, I have a question, put a quick release plate on the this setup be dangerous with all that weight on it?
Great question. All I can say is Know your gear and trust it. I’ve been using these plates for a long time with heavy setups and zero issues.
@@chrisbrockhurst thanks mate 👍
Interesting, but no tilting is a bit of a deal breaker. Let's hope they make a V2 where you can do that....

how heavy a camera can it carry?
There should be a nob where you actually can go to ubderslung mode. 😊
Does it block the sensors on the DJi 4d?
If you put a plate in the right place nope

Hello, has anyone ordered from digitalfoto yet? I have an order in progress but I can't get anyone to chat, email or WhatsApp?
thanos-se is a TRASH.
No BACK support!
No stabilization!
GARBAGE! Thats it!
