I am an interested Muzungu observer in peace.
I was told he was a great orator back in the day..doesn't sound like that here IMHO.
That said, he did end rampant tribalism.
He and others realised the modern state.

He set the foundation on solid ground as Father of the nation. I have not this far heard anything from any leadership that's super new from all these since he is gone. Everyone keeps repeating the same thing in different ways to create the impression that they are doing something new and being. RIP Dr AMO. We miss you r brilliant guidance and leadership.. God bless you and Uganda.

His Heroism can't be doubted if you listen to this speech carefully. He was a real Orator. And Orator means somebody who is eloquent in public speech, not for the sake of winning favor, but talking points and telling the truth.

If Dr. A.M.Obote had not been distracted in the first Amin coup, Uganda would have developed because of his focused leadership. However, after that setback, Uganda has never recovered that momentum. Kenya left Uganda behind in everything yet they were at the same level then.

Awesome speech was made when i was in infantry class.in late 60's. Surely president Obote was i]very eloquent, articulate and visionary president who led Uganda in good way unlike the present leaders who are greedy and non-patriotic. May God help this Uganda and we get good leaders like Dr AM Obote. He the kind of leader Uganda need. Rest in peace my late president, You great legacy still remain live.

I can vouch for Obote when it comes to tribalism: he was not a tribalist during the period he was in power from 1962 to 1971.

Am pleased for your efforts to unfold the information which contained brilliant ideas for the nation especially the young ones to know what kind of leaders Uganda has been having since independence. We appreciate your tremendous work. I kindly request you to produce any recording which Dr. Obote had in luo.
