Hi Donna, I'm Patrizia from Italy. I look at your tutorials because they are beautiful and then because you are always smiling. Happy Easter! LOVE🌹🐇🐰🐣❤️
Hard to believe you and Matt have been married for 41 years! You both look very young for that number, and likely will always look younger than your years. God bless you both. Love this bunny quilt.
I love this quilt! I suppose I'm prejudiced because my husband calls me "Bunny," but it is absolutely beautiful. I've done a fair amount of applique work before--without the benefit of fusible products, so this isn't as daunting as it might otherwise seem. Though I nearly fell off my chair laughing when you described your Singer Patchwork as a "basic sewing machine." It has 99 built in stitches! Maybe I'm dating myself, but I learned to sew on a truly *basic* sewing machine--straight stitch only forward only. It was a White that dated to the late 1910s-early 1920s and had belonged to my grand mother. Mom finally replaced it in 1968. BTW, I'm still using the machine she bought then. 😉
This has got to be one of my, if not THE, favorite quilts you've made. You make the appliquéing look so easy. I too love the quilting pattern. It blends in very subtly.
I really enjoy watching your videos. You never make anyone feel like they don't know what they are doing. You teach beautifully. Encouraging everyone that they can do this. Even when you run into a bit of a harder piece you still give encouragement to do this
A suggestion that could save a lot of cutting: Cut the fusible web into 10" squares, trace all the pieces onto it and then fuse it to the layer cake square. You then need cut each individual piece only once, rather than twice.
So adorable. Tons of patience. I had to giggle when you got on the singer and talked about stitching slow. Lol. Donna you are not known for stitching slow! Lol. Great job lady ! Give away runners are also so beautiful!
Oh I love this bunny quilt. It must bring out the childhood in our lives but that isn’t a bad thing, just comforting as it brings a cute smile out onto our faces...wouldn’t a child just love this quilt also. The fabric is amazing with this pattern and I certainly love the colours in it.
Wow it is beautiful! I am a sucker for blue and white quilts and add bunnies...how can you miss! The fabric is gorgeous. I’ve only done a few small appliqué projects, but never a quilt. I think I’d try a wall hanging or table runner first. Thank you for sharing and your easy to follow directions, as always. 💕
Luvvv this supercute pattern. I've just bought the download so I can get cracking to make a baby play mat for my eleventh grandchild who is due in July! Thank you, Donna, for your inspirational videos, I love your style. They are way more fun than watching TV!
I totally love this tutorial. The quilt is fun, the fabrics are gorgeous. Donna, your explanation of sewing the zigzag was enlightening. I now feel more confident about sewing applique on the machine. Thanks so much for your videos. We really enjoy them.
Здравствуйте! Какие изумительные работы! Не понимая языка я всё прекрасно поняла, что и как делать. Обязательно сделаю такие покрывала своим внукам! Спасибо вам большое! Успехов вам, здоровья и счастья!
Thankyou Donna and a happy 4th of July day have fun I try to watch as many as I can of your shows and have learnt so much my only grumble I have. I have only recently found you both you and Matt I just wish I had more years to try to enjoy your programmes and make some of your simpler designs love to both of you
Donna, I learn so much from your tutorials. You are generous with your knowledge and thorough with your detailed techniques. This is a delightful quilt. I usually use blanket stitch to appliqué , but I think the zigzag is better and I haven’t tried the stabiliser paper on the back. Thankyou for Marg in Australia. I’d love to visit your shop.
It would definitely be a super cute baby quilt with half of the blocks! I love blue and white quilts. Thanks for taking the time to show us how to appliqué correctly. Happy Quilting! 🧵💕😃
Thanks for taking a step away from your comfort zone and into not only those gorgeous Japanese style fabrics but also into that coordinating design. And kudos for the way you used that border fabric. Centering that printed design almost made it look like a pieced border. I'm currently in love with the Japanese taupes but these indigos are just striking.
A beautiful 🐰 quilt and striking fabrics! Thank you for the appliqué instructions. I always learn something new when watching your tutorials. I’m currently working on a quilt top with perfectly snowballed corners thanks to seeing you finger press and fold over before trimming, to make sure the square is still square. And now I know how to appliqué without fear 💙
You can do so amazing different quilting ideas ! You are making us do things i never dreamed I could do. Thank you for sharing your talent my first year at learning how to quilt. Thank you.
Those are the cutest applique bunnies Ive ever seen! I've never made an applique quilt before but this one has definitely made me want to make one. Its so beautiful and I love the colours of the fabrics too. Lee x
Hi Donna, watching you from the UK. Besides being an absolute legend at everything that goes under your needle I wanted to tell you how excited I get when you enter your shop. For me it feels like ‘a kid in a toy shop’ if I ever get to visit you I would just be overwhelmed by the choice. I also love the way you demonstrate how to cut and sew. I love quilting and remember the first time I had to cut into this beautiful fabric before me and counted and recounted the measurements until I took the plunge and put the rotary blade through my fabric. Your sewing machine, I love the noise it makes and it looks like a work horse. Can I ask what machine is it, it looks industrial to my eye. Thank you for the effort you and your family go to in making these demos for all of us to share. Take care Kim x
Thank you for another awesome tutorial! You're an excellent teacher and being that I'm a beginner at sewing and quilting, you spark confidence in my "quilting spirit" with every quilt you make. I love the bunnies and I thank you for taking the time to show how to applique them.
Hi Donna I always enjoy your videos. I was intrigued that you quilted overtop of the bunny appliqué. I have done many appliqué quilts but have always avoided sewing over the appliqué. Of course I only do straight line stitching or quilt in the ditch. I don’t have the nack for FMQ yet. I don’t want to ruin my hard work and LAQ is too expensive for me. Maybe one day I’ll get brave enough. Anyways thanks for the great video.
I have been steering clear of doing appliqué but this pattern might be the deal-breaker. Such cute bunnies! I believe they would work in many color ways even if I am partial to blue. Like one of the other commenters, I believe this pattern would be good for smaller projects like a spring table runner, or wall hanging, or placemats, or ... ????? I have some layer cakes that I have not opened up for a project yet. I am a pre-washer but that is nearly impossible and probably not advisable with pre-cuts so I was glad to see your instruction about hitting them with some heavy steam for a quasi pre-shrinking. I also appreciated the tip about using a backing paper to keep the appliqué flat. It was fun watching you do something other than standard piecing.
Доброго дня!Я посмотрев Ваше видео,просто шокированна!Вы самая крутая мастерица в мире!И это без преувилечений!Удачи Вам и творческого вдохновения!С приветом из России!
This one is my absolute favorite of all time❣️❣️❣️❣️I love the fabrics and the bunnies would be such fun to make❣️. This is my 2019 project pick & once finished is staying with me lol! It just makes smile & happy!
Adorable! And the fabrics are beautiful. I’m ready to try machine appliqué so your instructions are very timely. I will attempt a small project first as my skill level is a little behind yours 🤣. A great project for winter days, thank you!
Thank you for making this tutorial. You always give such great tips along the way. I refer to them often. This quilt looks time consuming, but every quilt I do is time consuming. I’m very putsy when I piece blocks and am just starting to machine quilt them myself. Love you guys!
Beautiful I love watching your videos , you’re a wonderful teacher also I from OR and I get to see a little or home every now and then when you walk from the store to the work room.😊🤗🤩
Love the pattern, I would just carefully place the pieces on the fabric so I could use what’s left for another project as the fabric is so beautiful (I am a big blue fan!)
What a great video as always and I love the pattern and fabrics. A tip to make the bunny body (and any large areas of design) less stiff and save on fusible web is not to cut out and attach the whole of the circle of fusible web onto the bunny body, but to cut out only a ring of about 1" depth of web just inside and along the circumference of the circle. Fuse only this outer ring onto the bunny body fabric leaving the inner part of the body free from web which will make the bunny body less stiff. The overall quilting at the end will then ensure that the inner part of the body is attached to the background.
You’re the BEST quilt instruction since the ORIGINAL Simply Quilts with Alex Anderson,!! I appreciate that I don’t have to pay a subscription to watch you !! I’ve been quilting over 20 years and LOVE your videos. Thank you soooooo much!

This is my favourite of all the quilts you've done. Absolutely STUNNING!
I love this quilt! I suppose I'm prejudiced because my husband calls me "Bunny," but it is absolutely beautiful. Cutest quilt ever!!!!!
I really enjoy watching your videos. You never make anyone feel like they don't know what they are doing. You teach beautifully. Encouraging everyone that they can do this. Even when you run into a bit of a harder piece you still give encouragement to do this
Awwww how sweet this one is......and I love the blue and white , this one is a "must do"
Thanks Donna
Karol
modern and exotic! clean and crisp! who wouldn't love this?!
A suggestion that could save a lot of cutting: Cut the fusible web into 10" squares, trace all the pieces onto it and then fuse it to the layer cake square. You then need cut each individual piece only once, rather than twice.
brihooke I think I’ll go with this idea! Thank you!
Yes and in this way you could get out some of the smaller pieces as well and save on fabric.
I wish I could see 👀 what you mean. I’m a new quilter. Marialucgom@gmail.com

I love this piece! New to quilting and don’t do the free motion yet. Do you think it would be possible to do this hand tied?
Fantastic ... love ur videos n so inspiring! Thank you for such delightful n superb quilts....!
So adorable. Tons of patience. I had to giggle when you got on the singer and talked about stitching slow. Lol. Donna you are not known for stitching slow! Lol. Great job lady ! Give away runners are also so beautiful!

You made that adorable quilt look so easy!
I always use a buttonhole stitch for applique and it often is mistaken for hand embroidery. My Pfaff does a beautiful job.
I love these little bunnies! So adorable!
So cute. Love the quilting you picked also. Hope you had a wonderful holiday.
