I just want to say Thank You for the appreciation and respect that you have shown my uncle and his collection. This music is his legacy. I truly feel that by passing this collection on, Paul's spirit is more alive today than than it has been for the past four years. I also would like to thank the commenters for all the love being shown. It's all about sharing the music! That's what my Uncle Paul lived for.
Thank you so much man! It is truly my honor! Paul was an amazing dude with a real intuition on what to save, he was a metal archivist! I am honored to be a part of this.
Sorry for you loss. Seeing these collections go to the right places in the homes of other collectors who would cherish them helps collectors deal with their own mortality. It does for me anyway. I'm glad to see Dillion took the cd, tapes, and posters as collectors do value them as well especially of the harder to find niche stuff.
shit like this is why i love the internet, what a wild story, to see another person who lived life to the fullest, from those pictures rocking out, signed albums must mean he went to a millions shows and met the bands! to a video being made about it, and now a comment from yourself. what a cool story!!!! if this happens to my collection i'll be happy that it gets spread back around to people that love the music i loved!
Finally he will sell it and make money - nothing will be left of the "heritage". Sad.
@@lcaise The nephew was pleased by how his uncle's collection was treated by Dillion. When I pass, mine will probably be donated as I probably won't have any close heirs. If it makes a few bucks for someone at retail, then so be it. Shops aren't kept open without paying customers. By placing a collection with a dealer, the music at least gets back in the hands of someone who would value it (the paying customers.) Without online or physical retail, I wouldn't have any music collectibles. That's how things work. The government, the church, the union, local record stores, the bank, the worker, etc. all need money to run.
Thanks For The Tribute .. My Brother is Smiling... His Spirit is Flying ...
For All Who Share A Piece of This Collection .. His Legacy Lives On...
Thank you Stephen! Thanks for the hospitality and kindness! I’ll do my best to make you proud! Paul seemed like a. Extraordinary man.
Respects.
I am thankful that my Uncle’s collection will reach others. As my Uncle Paul always told me, Peace and Love!
Thanks so much! He was amazing
Uncle paul?
@@noblerecords please tell me the band and song playing in the background at 18:52. Thanks
Oh, Paul... my wonderful hippie friend. That's what I always called Paul, my hippie friend. I thought I was a huge music but then I met Paul. His collection is incredible & many times I would sit staring at the walls of music he possesssed as we chilled. The stories behind his collection, the posters, Woodstock... he was just the coolest cat I knew. After Paul passed, my husband & I went to Carolina Rebellion in which we got to see Skynard, Paul's absolute favorite, & during Free Bird it started to rain... I knew Paul was with us. To whomever gets any of this collection, I pray they cherish it as much as he did. Thank you for making this video & I hope you show more (like I wanna see the rare Janis record/ cd he had - I love her) of his collection. ✌❤
RIP Paul. That’s an astounding collection!
A big shout out to Uncle Paul, may he rest in rock n roll heaven, I feel him smiling at everyone who walks away with a piece of his collection
Dillon, this has to be one of the best collections I have ever seen, especially when it comes to rock and metal. After talking to you about it the other night when you first got home with it, I couldn't wait to see the video. Some fantastic stuff man! I really appreciate the way you took the time to learn a bit about Paul, and how he acquired this collection. Something like this isn't done easily, and you paid the family and the original owner much respect, and I am sure they appreciate that. Now it's time to get those records into the hands of future generations of collectors who will appreciate and care for them as much as Paul did. Take care my brother! Billy-
Thanks Billy! You get it! It’s an honor to help pass this stuff on!
My best friend!!!!
I lived with him for a while and attended many shows where we met the bands and got our records signed.
I also have many of these records, etc
Wow! Y’all have amazing taste! Thank you for commenting! Paul seemed like an extraordinary music lover!
I love your respect and appreciation of the original owner! Great vid.
Thank you!!!
I have a undying love for 70s and 80s hard rock and metal. To see the photos of the owner of the collection Paul, those are photos of a man who lived the music during the times when thats what people did. Its great that Noble Records purchased this collection. You can tell there is respect for the legacy of the collector and I think it's great you made a video as well. This great music will be spread and enjoyed for generations to come. Great video!
Hello Dillon, Congrats on the awesome collection his family couldn't have picked a better steward to sell his brother's collection you would be the best person who would appreciate the blood sweat, and tears this man went through to collect all these fantastic records. When I go to the big record store in the sky( hopefully not for a long time) I hope my family finds someone like yourself to sell my collection too.
Thanks so much! That means the world to
Me!
My jaw dropped when I saw that Pantera Power Metal and Pentagram, as well as those Savatage records. Absolutely incredible. All of those sealed metal grails...
I appreciate the amount of respect that you have for the owner and his collection.
Thanks so much! It’s an honor to have this stuff for a little while
@@noblerecords Totally. And that Too Fast For Love is awesome!
HOLY SHIT!!! Paul had great taste in Music...May he Rest in Peace. I know he is smiling knowing his collection will move onto others who have just as much love for it as he did. RIP Paul.
Thanks for the kind words! Paul had excellent taste
OMG...what an amazing collection. Thank you so much for sharing it. My condolences to the family of Paul. I'm so sorry for you loss. It is awesome to watch a video on someone who truly loved music and documenting it like he did. It is truly appreciated.
His collection is amazing! Thanks for watching!
To be in your shoes, holding some of those incredible rare and special gems...gotta say Dude...I'm a bit jealous! LOL Enjoy that collection, whether for yourself or for your store, realize that you just hauled Fort Knox in a U-Haul. Well done!
Haha thanks! I’m definitely keeping a few but selling the rest!
It's always a bad feeling for me when a collection been sold. Always.
This was a great story though, it’s all about spreading the music.
Agreed and it will go to record/music collectors and it started with you Thanks for sharing Grails video for MANY.
I’ve been thinking about where all my records will go. I feel like it’s the natural lifecycle that they get dispersed again to shops, flea markets, etc. That way in the future people will get to have that same excitement of digging and finding that odd diamond in the rough.
“'Cause see, no one helped me and as a matter of fact,
There's a thrill in the hunt for a platter of wax.”

Wow! I knew Paul... and here I thought he had an unbelievable amount of DVD's... I never seen all this...
I am a close friend of the family in which I consider myself adopted into.. I was also Paul's CNA/aide while he struggled with ALS.
He really was a cool dude and I know his smile in heaven must be huge.
What a great tribute in his memory. I'm really proud of Steve and Mike to think of this amazing idea and for you to be the person that spreads the tunes.
May God bless you and all who this collection touches...
Again.. Wow!
Thank you so much! It’s evident that paul was very loved and a really special dude!
Thank you for the Comment... It just Seemed right..
The way you understand and show respect for the truly personal and emotional side of records and music in general is the reason y’all’s channel keeps growing and why I keep coming back. Unique and genuine content that’s more valuable than just entertainment. Really a nice way of giving Paul tribute in a community of like minded folks. RIP sir.
I’ll have to make a lil pilgrimage out there from here in Nashville in 2021. See y’all then.
Thanks so much! Paul was the real deal!
Wow what a great collection. From one collector to another, rest in peace to Paul. You really can tell a person's character from their records, and Paul must have been a great friend to have. My heart goes out to his friends and family. If i lived nearby i would definitely be chomping at the bit to add some to my collection.
Thanks for the kind words!
He was an amazing friend!
A truly once in a lifetime collection. So incredibly exciting that you were able to acquire it. I hope these amazing records find some happy homes. Best of luck and congrats on a great collection! The previous owner had great taste.

It is a mega honor! I’m thrilled to be a part of it. Thanks for watching!

Wow! What a wonderful collection. And that's just a tiny bit we've been able to view. This guy clearly loved his music. Some amazing records there. I would love to see everything, but know that would take forever to go through.
May Paul rest in peace. His collection will be treasured by many avid metal fans I am sure. 🤘👍
Thanks for the kind words!!
Congrats man, so great you shared it with us...Made me smile :))
That’s an amazing collection! Thanks for sharing.
Dillon, Greetings from Carolina Beach! Congratulations on buying this collection, Paul would be very happy his records will be enjoyed by many instead of sitting quietly in storage. Take care and thanks for sharing this!
Thank you! Paul seemed like a really awesome dude!
You are the best, brother. Keep posting. I’m learning a lot from you. 🙏🏼
Hey Dillon, just wanted to say how much I appreciate what you do. I've been watching your videos and following you on instagram for a few months now. You are part of the reason i've gotten back into collecting vinyl. Your passion is contagious! ;) I also have been listening to the vinyl biography podcast and enjoying it very much. I have great admiration for the way you honor those you have aquired the vinyl from, and share a little of their lives and music with everyone. This recent one is incredible!! I am a long time metal and prog listener, (all the way back to the 80's) so there are some big time wants for me in there. I may have to make a road trip up to Charlotte either this weekend or next!! I would love to add those Metallica to my collection! ;) And Savatage, Holy Moly!! :O
Thanks again for all you do!
Thank you so much for the kind words! It’s hard work but it’s fun!
Massive! METAL COLLECTION! I would love to see his cassette collection!

Those were some great albums. Those Pentagram, Trouble, Candlemass, and Bride albums really caught my attention. That they were all in the same collection and that you chose to pull those out as some examples blew me away. Really hoping I didn’t miss a chance at those.

Messiah Marcolin is the best singer in Doom Metal history🤘

The respect you showed to this man is unmeasurable your love for music showed good and clear through this video You made all of us head-bangers mouths water with just the little bit that you showed of this mans collection. I wish I could travel but I can't at least not that far. Living in Maine and having a Daughter with health issues I have to stay close to home but again Thank You for your best video I feel you have ever done
I wish I could find collections like this. I know you, as a store owner, hardly come across metal collections so for us collectors only it’s nearly impossible.
Truly an amazing record collection!
well done to you , respect to Paul and his amazing collection thanks for sharing .
Fantastic collection . Such appreciation of great music. People Like Paul have preserved collected and have now past on music history to others . Great video
When you sell a used Metalica album... Do you have to send Lars a dollar?
Lol
Wow!! Incredible trove of treasures, RIP Paul!
Great video! You should do a part 2 of this amazing collection! Greetings from UK
I plan to!
I can relate to that !! this is great.. so great to make his souvenir continue to exist with all the music, vinyls, cassettes, CD' s an d stuff.. To share his spirit, and the love of music that way !! Thanks for watching!
Awesome collection! I need to get my butt back down to the store!
Dillon, you are the prototype store owner that all other store owners need to be following. YOU are the reason I buy from Noble. You know what you're doing, how to do it, and your ability to get the great collections is something I admire and one day hope to follow in your footsteps. You are an inspiration to not just me, but to the rising legion of fans to your youtube and instagram page. Watching the next video, and next video, and next one there's always without any doubt things to be learned from all the information you and your guests bring to the table.
It's an honor and privilege to shop at Noble and be a customer there. IF I walk away with any part of this massive collection it will be the highlight of 2020 /2021 for me.
CONGRATS on this massive haul. You put the work in, now reap the sales...oh yes you will get some walk-in traffic on this one for many months to come. HAPPY HOLIDAYS DUDE!!!
ZEPPELIN RULES!!!
Thanks Jeff! That means a lot, I try to do my best! Hope to see you soon!
@@noblerecords Santa has christmas cash for me on his sleigh, maybe on dec. 26th, if your open....looking forward to my next purchases there. I know they'll be waiting for me in the bins...
Hey Dylan! You totally lucked out man! Nice find!
What a fantastic collection. Almost spit out my food when you casually pulled the Pentagram LP off the shelf. So glad that went to someone who knows what it is. Same for all the Trouble LPs. That's amazing to see. Paul had terrific taste.
Haha the pentagram went to ME! 🤣
What a fantastic collection. I cant emagine a a better person to handle this gem than you Dillon. When i pass i hope my children sell my collection to a passionate music lover to. Great respect to Paul and his loved ones. Rock In Peace!
Awesome. Great haul
Thanks!
That's the craziest collection I've ever seen!! I would keep it all !!!
That collection is very similar in size and genre to mine. I hope you paid a LOT of money for it!!!
Haha I did.
Holy crap...what a massive haul! Killer haul!
Wow! What a haul! That's amazing!
Thanks!
DUDE! I could spend a day just looking through the posters.
Yeah for real man. It’s crazy
Had to be at least a 50,000 purchase. Well done and I'm very impressed. Awesome job. Your a good man for helping them.
Damn Candlemass, Pentagram and Trouble OG pressings. Now that's crazy, I've never once seen those ever. This guy had great taste. You struck gold man.
Yeah, I’m very glad to have this stuff in my shop
Hi Dillon that is just the most amazing collection I've ever seen Paul really had a great taste in music, some of them bands I haven't thought of for over 20 years. Thanks for showing them just a shame I'm in England.
Thanks for watching!!
That's one hell of a collection! The man had beautiful taste!
Amazing collection...😮
Rest In Peace Paul. Hell of a collection.
Really nice you can pay respect to his stuff like this, it's really commendable and I would want the same respect from anyone handling my records dead or alive!
Respect to your respectful video of this musik vinyl collector, yes a vinyl collection very personal and when I go I am going to let my collection to my son because I cant take it with me, well i can in my soul. But what a great collection to pass forward.
I hope you make another video highlighting the posters. I would absolutely love to see any SRV, posters and records.
I will for sure!
What an incredible find. You've presented it as a great tribute to the collector.
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 🌴 📸
Thank you!!!
Nice thoughts and amazing haul..
Wow! You got some awesome titles in there!! Fates Warning!! I recently received the latest reissues of that album No Exit, along with Long Day Good Night and some of their other records, direct from Metal Blade. 🤘
R.I.P Paul. He had great taste. And It's honorable that you acknowledged and shared some of his life with us.
Wonderfull stuff mate!!
Wow that is an incredible collection. Dude had excellent taste.
Holy Buffalo Dillon !!! Paul deserves a honor in your store a pic somewhere . His collection is insane and like you showed was just a few crates, I would love to been there and go through that with you. I always say damn wished I lived closer but I would be broke. I can just tell Paul was a cool dude from his pictures and like you said you can learn about a person from their record collection. One suggestion you could put posters on a cardboard flats wrapped in shrink so they can get the folds out and sell them that way kinda like you see in art shops or Michael's Crafts shops. I can not even think of what cool promo-posters are in there from days gone by of record shops. Cassettes CDs I am sure are all top notch items too. Please show more of the collection as they go out for us who do not live in the area and will not have a chance to buy anything. Insane score and I hope it helps your shop and family and all of the items get into good records collector hands and enjoyed in Paul's honor !! cheers -VK
Thanks so much! Paul was amazing!
Holy Mother of God! You just went to having the best Metal Collection in all the VC overnight This is absolutely Mindblowing!! I was having a panic attack just watching you show this overwhelming amount of killer music!! Wow!! I’m speechless I wish I could run into a collection like this Good Lord! Congrats Dillan! Peace ☮️✌️👽🤘☮️
Haha thanks man! I’m having a blast with it!
Wow; this is the best collection!!
That's an insane collection!!!
Jaw hit the floor. Amazing stuff.
Very nice of you doing that monologue/eulogy for that very special guy you never knew, but now in your merit we all know.
Very cool collection.
Hey man, I'm such a great fan of your channel, you have such an amazing taste, and recommended some of the best records I own. I recently came across two records, Samurai - Samurai (1971) and Affinity - Affinity just fell in love with them. I wanted to know if you could maybe do a video or just recommend similar records to those two. Thanks again for your hard work, helping everyone listen and get into better music! happy Holidays brother. ;)
That’s some killer stuff, I need to snag those pentagram albums
Wow... that is one hell of a collection. I'd love to see a flip video of all the Megadeth in it... and AC/DC. Amazing.
