Both brands have two series. For Miele it’s the G5000 and G7000 series with different models in each. They have different cycles and drying features.
KitchenAid doesn’t label their first series, but there is a distinct difference between their better M designated models over $1000 and their lower priced units in quietness, racking, and drying.
For a panel-ready model, Miele is definitely worth it aesthetically. Other than that, it really depends. At $999-$1,299, Miele is a bit more reliable while KitchenAid has more features especially at $1,299.
However, KitchenAid’s best dishwasher is $1,299 whereas the best Mieles start with their better dishwashers at $1,499.

Blomberg makes a pretty good dishwasher for the money.
I love all your videos. So helpful. I'm torn between Miele G5266 and G7316 however there seems to be minimum availability in Tucson. The Kitchen Aid KDTM604 is looking better and better. Should I hold off for the Miele or go with the Kitchen Aid. There really is no rush as the dishwasher I currently own is still working. Thanks
I will tell you Miele is the best dishwasher you can get your hands on.... whenever you'd be able to get your hands on one. And that's just it. It could be up to another year before you see one in your area. So if you need a dishwasher KitchenAid makes great ones. If you can afford to wait until Miele arrives, you'll get the best one.
I am putting in a Miele dishwasher in our Palm Springs vacation home but have a panel-ready KitchenAid dishwasher at home. The panel does not stick out from the cabinets and is flush with the surrounding doors. Just some clarity on that for you.

Hi, I like your videos, thank you for making them. Miele claims that their appliances are made with commercial grade parts so they last longer. Is that true and do miele appliances last longer than other brands in your experience?
Miele services very well. One of the best brands on the market. More commercial parts usually mean "metal/higher grade materials than plastics." Miele is a higher-end brand and does use higher-end materials in their appliances.
@@YaleAppliance1 Thank you for your reply! So should we consider longetivity when we compare Kitchen Aid and Miele dishwashers? Are Kitchen Aid dishwashers built as well as Miele comparatively speaking?
An average life of a dishwasher is about 7-10 years. Does not mean you won't hear stories about people having dishwashers for 15 or 20 years but that is certainly not the norm. So you buy a dishwasher that has all the features you are looking for that will provide you the best service and performance in that 7-10 year window. Miele has a better build quality than anyone in my opinion so they are always going to be the best bet unless there is a particular feature that you are looking for that they do not carry. Biggest being a larger American-style rack system which KitchenAid provides.
Question: Doesn't the door popping open to release steam ruin the cabinets?
It does not. The heat will rise up and out of the dishwasher. It doesn't escape to the sides, coming in contact with the adjacent cabinets
I know this is an older video but maybe you can add it moving forward. You talk about how much service your company had for those brands but can you add the amount sold since if you sold more you may service more compared to selling a handful of another brand which had no service calls
We have a minimum of units sold....We will redo when models change
I have not seen this channel speak once about Whirlpool dishwashers. I guess they're just terrible. Or even mention Jenn Air
