I watched and enjoyed every second of this. I've already made my decision on a range and watched purely out of interest and entertainment. Either I am a nerd, I am solidly over 30, or both...it's both. * clicks on Wolf vs. Miele video *
Definitely the heavyweight main event of kitchen appliance brands.❤ Thermador induction cooktop > Wolf induction cooktop because of flexibility offered by Liberty feature. Despite that, Wolf wins more rounds and is still the champ.
If you are thinking about buying a thermador product please think again. We recently built a house and decided to splurge and buy thermador appliances for the house and Samsung for the suite. Have had nothing but problems with the Thermador appliances which cost little more than 3 times the Samsung products.. Their customer service is the worst I have ever come across in how rude they are. Warranty service is one big run around. In a million years I was not expecting to buy a brand like Thermador and be so disappointed. We basically gave up on their dishwasher after 18 months and replaced it with another Samsung but am filing documents with small claims to get compensated for the god awful stovetop induction unit. Save money and a whole lot of headache and heartache and get yourself something that works
Off topic, but why do you think more luxury brands aren't offering induction cooktops with knobs like Fridgiare or GE? I personally know a handful of people that refuse to switch to induction just for this reason. I had a Gag induction that was always finicky to use the controls unless they were perfectly clean. And when you're cooking, the glass top tends to be wet and dirty.
Thermador's star burner makes a huge difference for center of pan heating, but you are dead on right about the induction burner performance. Steam function is such a nice thing to have access to in the home kitchen. If I were shopping simply on looks, I think I prefer Wolf products. I think you did the Cove dirty because you admit its a better dishwasher lol.
One item I’d like to know more about is the Thermador freestanding. We will be looking for a new fridge in the next couple years and our kitchen isn’t set up for built-in. We have a Thermador & Wolf kitchen now and would like to stick to one of those for the fridge (current fridge is Jenn-Air). The reliability of the Thermador concerns me a little bit because I don’t believe BSH makes it (I think it’s contracted out to a Chinese based manufacturer.)
Hi, one quick question. I plan on buying the Wolf dual fuel and I have had a few people tell me to watch for the blue porcelain flaking issue. I looked it up online and there is some people claiming it happened to them. What is the true story. Is this an issue or something that you have seen or need to worry about?
As the primary goal is to cook food, you can achieve the samething for way cheaper, but now a days its all about look, and most people who can afford these brands barely use them.
FIRST, Im going to guess thermador gives a better bang for your buck before the video starts buit we will see. Thanks Steve, I talk about you to all my customers and make sure they know your blog is where I get all my knowledge from. - The Appliance Shoppe in Windsor Ontario
Is there any interest in rangetops? We bought a wolf 4 burner with skillet a few years ago and we’re underwhelmed. It was our first luxury kitchen purchase. We’d like to go induction, but that will require some rework of the cabinet.
I work for an interior design firm and I really like the Thermador as a slightly more affordable panel front option, but I have been hearing a lot of rumblings about the freezers breaking a lot over the last year. I know you have always had Thermador's reliability very high. Are you seeing the same thing with the freezers breaking down or is it blown out of proportion?
Can Yale ask Wolf why they don't put the same top on their 48" all gas range that they put on the 48" dual fuel or use for their 48" range top? Also, can Yale do a Subzero vs. True-residental please? Thank You
The Thermador speed oven appliance is catastrophically bad... it ruins your entire kitchen. It's like a Fisher-Price appliance. I would assume that this appliance was produced by junior marketing interns without proper oversight by real product managers. This is a product so bad that I'd recommend Wolf for everything. I have massive regret for choosing Thermador. True garbage. You take your own chances folks.
Great video. I loved my Wolf and Sub-Zero. The best ever. Also liked Thermador. But W/SZ are tops. Thanks for this informative video! 😊

Not to be nosy but which brand did you go with. I’m just starting my research lol
Wolf Contemporary Gas Cooktop gives you a powerful 20,000 BTU central burner and it sits flush to the countertop.
Definitely the heavyweight main event of kitchen appliance brands.❤
Thermador induction cooktop > Wolf induction cooktop because of flexibility offered by Liberty feature. Despite that, Wolf wins more rounds and is still the champ.
Thermador freedom induction seems would be way better for our family. The ability to move pans where ever.

Because electronics are more responsive and peceived as better looking?
Is there a reason why wolf doesn't upgrade the gas ranges like the dual fuel?
Great question
Would love to see a comparison of Wolf and Signature Kitchen Suite!
Ok

Dirty...Then again, it better be at $2500
If you purchase a wolf steam oven, do you see customers lean towards the all gas wolf for its roasting capability and cost difference?
It depends......

Depends...Bosch freestanding is made in China while their integrated units are made in Turkey

It was something 15 years ago. We are not seeing that problem now.
Can you do Wolf vs Miele next?????
why yes we will

Not sure I agree...
I disagree. If someone is going to make this type of investment they're definitely going to be cooking on it

Wolf Dual fuel/ Subzero ;-D

depends...you will see brands market induction rangetops...some already are
How does the wolf compare with Miele? I'm debating between the two combi steam ovens and cooktops and dishwashers right now
All will be revealed soon....short answer: the steam ovens for both brands are amazing
The Thermador Sapphire uses star-dry is that the same system as the 800 series crystal dry on the bosch?
They havent had Star dry available since 2020
@@YaleAppliance1 I’m confused the units I see for sale have star dry and they look current
Is Thermador expected to update its wall ovens any time soon?
Dont know....I hope so
I like the thermador burner, but I would not want it cycling on and off, I wish that feature would be an option.
don't turn it down low :)
@@YaleAppliance1 the x-lo burners also cannot be manually lit during a power outage, only the burners without the feature

I don't see the trend. However, the problems are compounded when most brands have little or no service

Good question....We already compared SubZero to True
👍🏼
