After watching this channel back in 2021, I bought the Miele 48" dual fuel range and microwave wall oven.
My pros: The entire appliance and its parts are made in Germany. I can stomach the price point a bit more when I know it's truly made in the US or Germany or Italy, etc and not just a rehearsed sales line. Plumbed steam oven is a game changer for fish and vegetables. The grates are easy to clean (don't put them in the dishwasher). The cavity of the oven is also easy to wipe down (I cover most dishes anyway). The built in convection/microwave oven is perfect to heat things up quickly although I use my wall oven most of the time. Master Chef makes it so easy to cook so many different things. Just enter what you're making (Bread, Steak, etc), the weight and Miele takes it from there. Customer Service is on par with the high price point. The high heat and pizza stone allow you to make neapolitan style pizzas at home. Built in air fryer makes great French fries.
My cons: I wish the simmer burners were in the front. The built in griddle is hard to clean Just get the stovetop one. The all burner 48" is cheaper anyway. Because the range is truly made in Germany and shipped over here, be prepared to wait a few months if your local store is out. The regular oven takes quite a while to heat up and the cavity is small so Family size pizzas or Thanksgiving turkeys won't fit. The stovetop is fragile. My cleaning lady didn't follow instructions and scratched it. Although the lacquer is thick, I can still see it when I get close. My model has gone up $3000 in three years. Because the high BTUs, you have to go for powerful range hoods. The ones from Miele are bulky and ugly in 48". Miele is planning on moving some production to Eastern Europe. So I'm not sure why they are having these price increases if production is being moved to countries with cheaper labor,
Summary: I love the Queen of the cuisine but wait for either a package deal or floor model. For my next Kitchen, I will probably do a Miele gas stovetop or 36" Dual fuel and wall ovens, IF its still made in Germany.

I completely agree that generally speaking, Sub-Zero is a refrigeration company and Miele is a dishwasher + laundry company. I would love to see an additional category at the end which is field service & support in this luxury category since you covered warranty. I have a ~20 year-old clothes washer that needed parts and I was still able to find them online using the Miele website’s exploded parts diagrams and detailed parts lists.

Service really depends on where you live on where you bought your appliances. Typically, a good self servicing dealer is your best bet, but they are a rarity.

Love the videos - you do a great in depth review on these appliances. Would love for you to do a review on Thor, Forno and Z-line. These seem to be in a more affordable price range these days but not if they are not good quality. Thank you for the videos

I’m not rich, I do own a wolf range and hood, but I will say is people who are in the market for high end appliances are usually shopping for what they want instead of shopping by price or incentives.

Miele needs to upgrade their induction range. No bridging functionality in 2024 is just not acceptable in a luxury appliance.

No Gaggenau? Someone I deem very trustworthy once told me Gaggenau's ovens were > Miele (and they should be, given their price tags!) (Sub-Zero is nigh-absent on the Italian market and it didn't enter the conversation, except when we discussed refrigrerators).

I love Gaggenau...fantastic product, especially if you know how to cook. It is probably the best, but both Miele and Wolf are easier to use

      Right.
You should have not included Gaggenau in an "best assisted-cooking" appliance video.
But you should have here - at least re ovens (with and w/ steam) :).

Ease of cleaning…gimme Miele. I have a wolf 36 inch. I like it, I just hate cleaning it. Grates can’t be put in the dishwasher unlike Miele.
