the term chimera is often used to refer to an animal made of parts from other animals, which like you said its because of the greek monster which the name comes from.

KOENIGSEGG needs this transmission in future models, with mass production numbers. It is too heartbreaking for the perfect engine/transmission combo to just be a one off. The world needs to experience this.

@@ingodwetrustdellaware-inc8322 I do believe they talked about making an "affordable" car, I'm guessing to compete with mid tier supercar brands. They've also been successfully scaling in production units with each model release. ~70 Agera, 125 Jesko and 300 Gemera! There's hope!
The transmission itself is probably worth $100K BY ITSELF. Just in materials and assembly time alone. But if it was possible to downsize it to only have a third of the torque capacity, then you could POSSIBLY get it to under $20K. Still an expensive transmission, but it would be much more feasible.

@@stealthhtm23 I'd double that. This car, ORIGINALLY, was like $4M. There's probably a further $4-5M in modifications. But its status ALREADY makes it worth $25M. With it being a wholly unique car, I'd wager it'll be worth closer to $50M in about 30 years.

I've never heard any manufacturer willing to do this kind of project, I mean, it never happened before, taking an older model chassis fitting multiple latest technology into it from multiple currently available model and creating a whole amazing package. Koenigsegg really a brand that make dreams come true, imagination is the limit, if this kind of project is possible to be done, the future is bright for any kind of opportunities for Koenigsegg. this is truely another level. no one expecting Chimera to be born. well done.
James it's amazing to see the relationship between Koenigsegg and you grow to the level it's become. To also get to experience these unicorns of automotive masterpieces must blow your mind.

This video made me happy. The Agera is my absolute favourite car ever, and seeing this "monster" refreshed with the Jesko engine and the CC850 gearbox is incredible. Amazing work!
Just imagine the driving experience on a wide open Saudi highway or a track day... Absolutely mental! One of the reasons I love Koenigsegg so much is Christian seems like he really cares about the whole driving experience. Maybe one day I'll get a chance to ride in or even drive a Koenigsegg... A guy can hope lol
