Thank you for this video!!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I saw it and they rocked like always!! Been a a fan for forty years.
@UDAY MEHTA you're thanking HIM? Heh.
Danny Dan l
@Danny Dan probably to save the strain on his wrist from sitting in that position for so long. I saw someone doing it on a Ukelele a couple days ago actually, but it just looked like they were trying to look impressive.
Even though this didn't really hit the charts, it may be one of the best live performance songs ever.
I was born in 1965, I thank God everyday that I got to grow up in this era of music which will never be repeated. To get to see all the great bands live in concert was a true blessing.
I agree with you 100 %
So true my friend 💖
that is so , I am I grew up in that era. I was born 1964, I miss it .
Lol ppl
@@ratter531 thank you
Jesus they actually got even better.
I was so blessed to grow up in an era of innocence, good music, light hearted friendly folks, and the healthy, happy, thriving American family. Wish there was a way to go back.
I'm 65 this year! Brings me to tears as these were my favorite pieces of music.
Sorry our Era was the last of real Rock and roll and sorry it had to change.
Any body remember Changes?
Turn and face the change!
Cleveland,Ohio always and forever!!
Sincerely
Between 1977 and 1980, I saw REO live on five separate occasions. Then, at 20 years old, I made a 20 year career in the U.S. Air Force, which I retired from in 2002. Now, here it is 17 years after my retirement and these guys still sound the same, but man have we all grown older. I'm 57 years old now and have lost so many friends, relatives and lovers over the years, and so many icons of stage and music. It just all seems so sad to me. Getting old is tough, painful and draining on the soul and spirit. I need a happy day. Pray for me, I will for you. Peace all.
I'm an atheist, not living in usa, so I won't pray for you.
But i'll recognize all the things you've done for your country and what all your friends have meant for you.
Music like this makes us remember. All that is well and all that is not.
The only thing we can do on this planet is make our life comfortable for our selves and for our next of kin.
And music is one of humanities great acknowledgements that shows us how unice we are and and it gives us everything from happiness and strenght to sadness and sorrow.
Hang in there, bud!.57 is really not that old! You still have A LOT to gain and to give! :)
Prayers hope care to you and yours
Thank you for serving our country Sir
rockbay79 prayer buddy
Praying for you this moment my friend!
Thank god i was a teenager in the 80’s. Timeless music.
The very best.No regrets.🇺🇸
Yes
Me too. Hi Infidelity!
You are legend ! Truly
I Agree !!! BESTTIMES EVER!!!!😁😁😁 53 And Still Loven IT😘😘😘
I’m 62 and I may be old but I got to see musicians the caliper that will never be repeated. Ever. How lucky I was to live 15 minutes from Madison Square Garden too.
Ozark brought me here!
😷🍻
I was 19 when this song/album came out. Privileged to have lived and came of age in those years of the late 60s thru early 80s, saw so many great bands, an era never to be seen again. Today has some good music, some decent bands but it pales in comparison to that time. I’m 63 now and it sounds as good as it ever did. And this is still the best breakup/divorce song EVER. Love it!!!
He's still got it, you can't lose TALENT
Brilliant
No way u guys like speedwagon too! I’ve been a huge fan of you guys since fifa 15
The keyboardist...Mr. Neal Doughty was my neighbor in Belleville,Illinois. I was waiting for his brother to come outside he asked me to come inside and he would teach me how to play the piano! I still play! We lived on Cambridge Drive. Thank You...Mr. Doughty! Time For Me To Fly!
@@ericprothero6080 Thank You...Eric! I was blessed to know him! Such a very nice gentleman & take time to teach me!

We’ve had Queen, we’ve had Elton John, I need an REO Speedwagon movie!!!
Behind the Music on You Tube..............NOT a pretty story and since this vid is 1 man................N O N E of the orig are left

Even though they've aged, as we all have, they still sound fabulous. They Rock!!! Love this version.
Hi Donna........How A re YOU?
@DrPsychedelic sure did
saw them live in 1992 in Ecuador
Dancing Candle 4:25 This parts a giveaway. Once you’ve listened to enough auto-tuned songs, you start to be able to hear the auto-tune in other songs. Also, Kevin Cronin was always a little bit pitchy in the 70/80’s so I’m sure it was probably needed here sadly.
Love this guy. He put his heart and soul in his music.
Yes he did. And made us fall in love
His voice has not changed at all on this song.
Wow, close your eyes and you’re back in the 80’s. Still sounds amazing
Gerard Draetta that would be the late 70's my friend.
Thank you for a fabulous song REO
Yes indeed ♥️♥️♥️😇😇😇
YES SIR IAM LUCKY TO HAVE GREW UP IN THE 80S
Hell I’m in the 80’s everyday. Best decade ever.
Hard to see our rockers getting older. Excited that they still sound GREAT!
we're getting older too....I'm 62
63 yrs.Old.Time for me too fly.
I saw them play Edinburgh Playhouse in 1985. I sneaked in my pocket camera and grabbed a few black and white pictures. This brings back memories of a great band.
I bet everyone can relate to this classic master piece
I just saw them 2 nights ago ! I am a fan all over again ! It was a fantastic night ! Everyone was so happy and all kinds of great memories came flooding back my way! Thank you from Wilmington NC! We love you ! 🙋🏻🌸🌸🌸💕🤟🏼
How did they sound?
@@hoderharris excellent ! 👍🏼
I've grown old with REO Speedwagon, I've seen them 22 times now.
Wow!! I thought my 14 times was high!! ALWAYS GREAT
11 times my friend
me and my wife have only seen them 15 times so I give you much respect
Found the dentist
They've still got "it" even after all these years!
thecman26 he sings great
Even after all those "Decade's"!
No they dont still got it! Kevind dentures are falling out!!!!
DrPsychedelic What autotune? Are you deaf?
@@nickarcaya1746 There's no auto tune. He writes that under every comment
I hope you guys never grow tired of playing these wonderful songs because we never grow tired of listening to them. Thank you for all you do. Thank you for a lifetime of memories.
I saw them last Sunday night and boy was I singing along to this following the breakup of my marriage. They still BRING IT live.
I will never get enough of this band or this song.. Deep worded song..
REO Speedwagon was a great band. That was before Kevin Cronin got there and they played watered down music.
One of the best bands that ever existed.
Talent that is forever youthful and powerful!
Mad respect for this dude, still bringing the happiness to so many after so many years.
Brings me back to 15 years old (1980). Live at Toledo speedway! Wow!
back in the 1900s :)
REO Speedwagon still has it after all these years. Timeless!
REO never gets old. Love this band and Kevin Cronin.
They are great
This song is a masterpiece beyond beautiful. 💖
Any B-Boomers still watching 10/2021? I grew up listening to this band & saw them in concert in Fayetteville Nc Still ❤ this Song! Baby Boomers ROCKED!!! "It's time for me to Fly" from Wilmington, N.C. 10/2021
this song, more than anything or one, absolutely got me through my divorce. It was my theme song for 3 years. Everytime I got down, sad or worried i was doing the wrong thing, i'd play this song, sometimes several times in a row. i just look back and all i feel is grateful to this one of kind , amazing Band.
My Macaw parrot LOVES Reo!! He sings and dances when they come on. So adorable.
This is up there on the greatest “breakup” songs. REO is fantastic
REO was first band I ever fell in love with at 11 years old. And here I am still in love at 49. I'm sure if I live to be 100 they'll still be my favorite.
Never been a huge fan but have to admit that Kevin Cronin sounds pretty damn good after all the miles these guys have put on.
@DrPsychedelic I am pretty sure your copy-paste comment ruint it.
Agree unique voice that hasn't aged
Outstanding. You dont hear incredible music like this anymore
REO Speedwagon has always been one of my favorite bands and I've seen a lot of concerts in my 52 years. They are hand's down the best live show I've ever seen. I saw them live for the first time a few years ago and they were just spectacular. Kevin still gives a damn and it shows. I'll never forget that show so if you get a chance to see them, please do yourself the honor. You won't regret it. AMAZING!!!
Mark Shuford
Mark, I saw REO thirty plus years ago and thankful I did. U think they sound good now, you should have heard them in they're prime. GREAT GREAT GREAT UNDERATED Band!!! Should be in the HOF.
Yeah they're definitely hands down and my band of all times is the Grateful Dead
Seen them 6 times great but not the best
Not with out gary
Never seen this way of playing chords before!
Its in Open D tuning
My first concert was REO back in 1981 and then again in ‘85. Survivor was the opening act for both shows. Time sure does fly.
I saw them in 85 in Houston with Cheap Trick. I was 13.
np pun intended ?
Same. Saw REO with Survivor in '82. Survivor was the perfect opening act, both bands complimented each other well. It was just great rock n roll, such a simpler time!
Awesome 👏!
I'm not sure what I love more.... that his voice is still the same as the early 80s or the respect from the audience to not sing it with him.
Or the Autotune...........respect him for singing decent, but he has some help on he pitchy notes.
Grew up in the 80's, revisited Reo in September in my home state of New Hampshire, greatest concert I've ever been to!
BOY...OH BOY,,,, THE DAYS OF MY YOUTH,,,,,,,, CRY OUT,, ITS TIME FOR ME TO FLY---------- AGAIN+++
awww. they sound amazing, still, after all these years. I grew up on REO and this brought back so many memories yet opened my eyes that it's never too late to 'fly' and fulfill your dreams. Timeless song. Much love to the band and everyone!! Fly!! 💗❤🔥💗
Absolutely love this song! One of my late husband’ s favorites,!❤️
Have seen them probably 6-8 times. Non stop sing alongs. They are such a good band . Such talented musicians that make you feel alive .
Great song great band
Saw them last year open up for Def Leppard. They were fantastic. Kevin had a bad cold, but still sounded great. My wife and I will be seeing them this year and I can't wait. They are amazing live.
Taking my son next month!
Be honest. You went to see Taylor Swift.
Def Leppard should be opening for them!!
REO is such an iconic band! Was glad to be growing up listening to them knowing they were from Champaign, IL!
Yup, I grew up with them as well. I was a kid of the 70's and graduated HS in '82. I remember my brother cranking "Riding the Storm Out" on his Realistic 8 track player. I listened to that entire album over and over. Then when REO started getting more pop, I fell in love with that side of them as well. My two boys, both 17, love my generations music over anything that's produced now. Sure wish I could take them to one of REO's concerts in the near future. Love my family, but sure miss the '80s!

Being 64 now my favorite words when listening to REO ... Don’t bogart that joint or bong!
157 Riverside Avenue song ... is an icon of a song when your hitting that joint for sure ...voice : Do do do do da do do do da do do do then guitar talks : Waahhh waahhh wahhh etc etc ...Epic
Sounds great! All us old people in the crowd trying to get down! LOL
Seen REO SPEEDWAGON, AIR SUPPLY, STIX and DEF LEOPARD in KANSAS CITY, Mo in the early 2000s. One hell of a concert.
What a wonderfully talented man Kevin is
Doesn't need Ozark, been there since '81. God bless!
What a big voice for a little man. This guy can sing.
Still got the spice!!
! My most favourite band back in the early 80's!
The 80's were the best times of my life! One of my favorites by them. Great song.
Heard the song for the first time in Ozark
I was born in 1970
It’s a great song, pity I didn’t discover it before
They are still awesome. Thank u for sharing this video. God Bless.
Kevin Cronin is a hipster I actually like. Keep rockin' with real music...and thanks for not making me invent a time machine!
I saw them in concert at the Hollywood Sportatorium in Hollywood Florida. It was 1980 and my first concert. I think about it still and feel like I am there every time I do. Awesome memories!!!
Yes was there!
@@gaetagirl where did you live in South Florida? I lived in Lauderdale Manors and went to Dillard High. (Ft Lauderdale)
well done sir. I think Bob would enjoy that.
There’s something about good music that was produced before you were even born.
R E O, SPEED WAGON!!!!!!😎🎶🎵🎼🎤I SAW THESE GUYS IN THE 80s !!!!!!! LOVE YOU ❤️ GUYS!!!!!!
Still a heart breaking, beauriful, true song. Suits my live perfectly....omg. 😪😪
Another song I heard when I was maybe 10yo and it forced me to think critically about relationships I haven’t even had yet! …For real…this shit made me emotional and empowered at the same time!!! Lol god bless not having the internet when I was a kid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My hand is raised with a thumbs up!!?
All I can say is Right On Kevin! Seen R.E.O 5 times, first was Summer Jam 1979 in KC. "REO Speedwagon’s history with Kansas City is deep and personal." - Kevin Cronin
Such a great singer, songwriter, and perfomer. Speedwagon is Boss still here in November 2019!!!!🙂🤘🏻🤘🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Daaaamn Nanny. you never told me. I'll be getting to these damn curtain & Cieling fan's.
No matter how tired I am or how I'm feeling...I always get up on my feet and dance and sing along with this song ✨🥰
The song of my youth: Still love this song in 2020.
My funeral song!!
Thanks!!
And Happy Mother's Day.
Reminds me of times I had with my best friend Dave in our Army days. Love you Dave.
My youth exuberance returned for a few minutes. What a feeling. Can’t put a price on that.
Songs been around forever!! For some reason it hit a chord for me today, heard it on the radio, and was thinking who is that? You know a song you've heard a thousand times but never really paid attention too. So I googled it, and watched this vid. like the first time I ever heard it. Excellent!!
this song has been around forever and songs been around forever....
Standin the test, of time...
seeing the legend getting old somehow makes me feel bad..
That double neck Telecaster is awesome!
This is just timeless.
Big heart big love for Reo speedwagon
Kevin looks fabulous, I love his hair color
It was 1981, I went to see REO Speedwagon and Billy Squier which was the first concert I ever went to. What an awesome concert!
Still, after all these years. A masterpiece to all that have been broken.
Thank you for all your beautiful songs my great nieces. Know who you are and many more great artists.. We do chalk and theres fairies to your songs
I miss Gary Richrath...I'm a fan of REO...but not the same for me without him.
I saw REO headline a concert at the old Milw cty stadium. Its gotta be 35 years ago! It was electric, I'll never ever forget that wonderful day!
Great song, one of my favorites back in the day♥️ still is😃
Seen them several times back in the good ole days of music at Polaris Amp. In Columbus , Ohio. Always a great show.
This song was amazing before Ozark … Man Kevin can still kill this song !!! 🙏
The Champaign Illinois guys still showing how it's done. We all love you.
this gives me goose bumps!
Absolutely!
Some things ARE....FOREVER...
Cronin and Richrath - the heart of REO Speedwagon.
Reo still got it.........
Most of the audience couldn't have been born when this was released.
Hell they've got boots older than half that audience!
