If you are watching this as a non-vegan, I hope I will help explain why adopting a vegan lifestyle is necessary. For the wellbeing of the animals tortured and killed for their flesh and secretions. For the protection of the planet and all life that depends on it. For your health. Go to • GARY YOUROFSKY - The G... to hear the listen to the best speech you'll ever hear about animal rights. Go to www.challenge22.com for meal suggestions and nutrition support.
If you are a vegan that doesn’t speak for the animals, I hope I can inspire you to open conversations with non-vegans. As vegans we have woken up to the systemic oppression of farmed animals, after abstaining from contributing to their suffering we must help others align their morals with their actions.

Good to see a Vet ( student) being aware & putting this awareness into practice.
Many years back I wanted to apply to train as a Vet but sacked it off after speaking to the London Veterinary Association.
The reason was that the person I spoke to told me I would have to have some involvement in animal testing & the animal agriculture industry.
At first I was open minded & thought that maybe I would be able to eventually sort of 'police' the welfare of these animals but this was not the case.
I hope students like the one you talked to in this video continue to have some +'ve influence over the veterinary community.
I also hope I can get back to England eventually & we can possibly work together on some project - who knows.
For now I remain in Taiwan as a 'Vegan missionary ' ( well that's an exaggeration but I've been quite influenced by yours & other vegan activist videos to start speaking out more.
Btw, do you know any of the other activists involved in the MBR campaigns?

Every ethical vegan has a responsibility to speak up for the animals, remaining silent does nothing to help the Animals.
Vegetarian and vegan are not even close.
The dairy and egg industries are extremely cruel, vegetarians are not always opposed to using animals for clothing and entertainment.
Great conversation, thanks for everything you are doing for the animals !

It is also animal abuse to feed carnivores veggie food as if they were human.

    vegetarianism is worse for animals

Do you think so? It's definitely not as effective at reducing suffering as veganism but I would assume it is contributing to less suffering than a carnist diet. I think there is definitely danger when people think vegetarian is the end goal and don't continue to cut out all animal based products. Vegetarianism can be a useful step but that must end at veganism.

@@Amber.For.Animals veganism and "vegetarianism" are two completely different things. "Vegetarianism" is a dietary choice that may/may not involve consideration for animals - but ultimately "vegetarians" reserve the right to use animals whenever and however they deem fit. Veganism is an ethical way of living that seeks to do the least amount of harm to sentient beings. It is about making a point of not using, buying, eating, wearing or endorsing anything from any exploited animal for any so-called "reason". Veganism is in fact the baby step we can all take right now. The more adult steps beyond that involve standing up and speaking for the lives of animals - the way we'd want someone to speak up and stand up for our lives were we the victims of such unspeakable violation, exploitation and murder. Even "a little exploitation and murder" is still exploitation and murder.

@@davidgiardina5424Hey, I agree :) Though I advocate just for veganism I think it can be useful for people to take steps in cutting out animal products. I'd never say cutting out meat is the be all and end all, but if it is a temporary stage before veganism I think it can be a positive move in the right direction. I was vegetarian before going vegan, and although I wish I was ready to embrace veganism straight away, doing it in stages got me there. There's no excuse for animal abuse, go vegan!

@@Amber.For.Animals however if I were in the victim's place I would not be encouraged that someone was taking their time or tapering off in oppressing me or anyone I care about. I'd want them to stop completely, right now. The baby step is going vegan.
