"If you put this much time in this all day an you aint doin nothin else.... one day its gotta work" - Metro Boomin
Love this quote man I read it everyday
Very mature. Such a contrast from the ppl who make music over his beats.
L worthy comment...smh
KAPONE TV Lmao. I listen to all the artists and I also watch their interviews. Metro Boomin seems way more mature than them he doesn't even seem 22. He has the swagger and personality of a man that's like friggin 40 lol.
the producers always are. the rappers not shit without them.
nah. you gotta keep the L loser.
All the rappers he workin' with ain't shit without this man. 22 year old with more maturity than any of the mf's he's got riding his coattails and beats.
and he goes to college! Boomin you're what black culture needs
went*, he dropped out to pursuit his music career
a lot of rappers/producers went to college.
+Josh Sauceda I think what he's trying to say is that more rappers don't go to college over ones that do/did
Gill_ Gill college is a fucking scam black people are the most talented group of people in the world college is for sheeple
Max Brackney wow that was racist
This guy is legit my inspiration as a producer

YOUR STUPID MAN
1000
You're* stupid
smh picture if L'A was still alive on a metro beat
Went to school with him in St. Louis... He was a chill kid... Always was fried and hella mellow lol... STL fucks with him heavy cause it's not a lot that make it out of our city... Mad respect to him and appreciate his hard work... He's doing what I've wanted to do for Hellas... I never thought he'd make it this far
He went to parkway
From St.louis myself, a friend who lives by me said his sister-in-laws boyfriend is cousins with Metro
deebo hash I used to go to the same district as him . Think he went to Parkway west or something I went to parkway way central but I moved I'm still in st Louis though
Name of the Beat at 0:20
he went to parkway north! HOME OF THE VIKINGS! lol
I'm from the 2 Pac Biggie WuTang Mobb Deep ect but I can honestly say this young man has a lot of talent I've been seeing his work for about 6 months now he's very creative & a leader for the future of hip hop in my opinion in a very positive & special way.
thank you!
.
Mattrap Beats but we talking about metro boomin ..... Not young thug
johnkeem103 exactly.... But metros wave might be stronger at this point that they was when they was popping
+johnkeem103 mike will is still here going strong lex is the one who really fell off
peoppe don't understand artist not focused on making great LYRICAL tracks anymore , more focused on HOW it sounds . think of it , vibe , flow and a great beat can do much more to your song then just striaght up having lyrics . So many people who are "lyricist" have the most boring voice and most straightforward flows , cool you can spit lyrics , but a great sounding beat and flow can save a song better than only spitting can. why do you think so many rappers never make it big because as an ARTIST they are wack asf , to make it you need to be an artist and have a set personality and style to your music , not just that nigga that has lyrics .
W
great production can make up for shit lyrics. great lyrics can NEVER make up for shit production.
in other words, everything you just described: ignit trap rappers
Personally, I dont mind trap rappers writing tracks about all that shit if they actually came up from there and went thru some real shit, it makes the music more surreal
King$upreme well j cole does have a plat album with no features ...js
Razer should hire metro for advertisements.
they do
already
They're the ones who probably gave him that computer. He has a video series with them.
Why do you think they do obvious product placement money shots
Alex Gomez Metro Shaving Want Some More Nikka
...remember when Lex Luger used to be THE man...
who is this "& more" rapper?
seriously

*gun noises*
whats his new mixtape?
Biggest inspiration, one day I'm going to make it💥
ay
You really made it
shit u made it
Young Taylor lmao you made it
Yoo you made it,
Mike Will made it, Sonny Digital, DJ esco, And metro Boomin doing their thing. I kinda like DJ mustard too, his beats be on point.
zaytoven , Isaac Flame, London on da track, esco , young chop, wheezy, .......
Salehlll yes bro, them too.
Jay Bugatti can't forget 808 mafia
I love DJ Esco but I think he's more and A & R dude/DJ than a producer. I'm sure he has creative influence on most of Future's stuff and his own projects but I wouldn't put him in the same category as the other producers you mentioned. Also add TM88 to that list ;)
Andrew Obuchowicz you do have a point there. I wonder if he could produce someone's else's album/mixtape, I've only seen esco work with future.
MOTIVATION FOR ME! FOR US!
I'm bout to watch this everyday for motivation
This is a type of sound that developed from rap culture. If you don't dig it then that's you! Don't make it some Mumble vs Lyrical thing... Lmfao Hip Hop culture was based around sampling, an art form which can't be so easily exploited in todays technological world. If you ask me I say MORE power to the Atlanta bedroom producers who have found a dope way to formulate a hard sounding record without relying on "AHH THAT SAMPLE IS GOLD MAN, I WONDER IF I CAN CLEAR THIS FOR RADIO" Nope not an issue any more.
Man 6 years have past and this man is still on top of his game
He lived in the same dorm with me at Georgia State lol
lol really?
AQUA VIII ' $ liar, he went to Morehouse for a semester
He went to Georgia State for a whole year nigga
shit is crazy!!! I'm from the same country as this nigga, it's like we are related damn near
He didn't go to Georgia State, he went to Morehouse. Lying ass nigga, smh.
Nowadays, all you have to know is the right people to be a "legend"....So many producers out there with real music knowledge and crazy instrumentals who don't get a shot cause they don't know anyone. I don't think people know how easy it is to open up FL studio and make a hi-hat infested beat. It's just about knowing the right people. Don't let well-edited documentaries fool you.
What makes metro a legend is the countless chart landing bangers he has already made, his influence on a major sound, and the respect of many if not most of the current most famous and most talented artists. Doesn't matter if he didn't/doesn't have "real music knowledge" to get to the point he is at right now. Also what makes you believe he doesn't have musical knowledge? He has hits and you don't, and i believe he has been playing instruments since middle school if that qualifies. Racist. Nice icon, there's a lot of visible skin on your head.
Correct. Metro is Southside's lil bro, Southside another great producer came up with Lex Luger, the trap wave-starting producer. Basically 808 Mafia.
What do you mean by "know the right people"? Are you saying that others are having more of an impact in making Metro's career than he is?
Mike will is pretty good as well
Yeah, he's dope. And so is Zaytoven & London on da Track.
Aureon Nelson sonny digital too
808 Mafia too
dont forget about 40, that man forged Drake's whole sound.
He is a legend
Oh my this is why Metro Boomin is so inspiring to me. He's a fucking icon and everything he does is for the culture and the empowering of others.
808 Mafia raised this guy, TM88 next?
Southside is better
KAPONE TV you drunk
+KAPONE TV It's subjective really.
Met TM88 last night, chill dude
Denillson Mayoral no way, fam that's dope
This video aged like fine wine
0:45 BEAT OR SONG PLEASE ???
which beats were playing in the background?
This beat is so so Metro
If you guys wanna actually know a modern day producer thats a genius... Knxwledge... Hands down
W
He's done some stuff without samples. Some of the tracks on his "Klouds" Album has beats he doesn't use samples on. His sample stuff is better though. More dynamic.
L
True but Metro is still a genius
its boom bap dog ofc u need samples lol
metro is number one. that’s it, i love and respect him so much
he's the reason why must rapper are here
You mean mainstream not everyone use the same producer kid
AceKillen name one then
Nigga you never heard of Timbaland? Pharrell?
Zay, 808 and Metro are the biggest producers in the game at the minute. Metro has even said Zay is the most creative of the new gen of rap.
Rex Stevenson he put 21 and future on the map
i see that young metro fixed his teeth
yea like pretty crooked and yellow
Yall ever heard of iamProfessorO? Hes not really known but that dude is def bringing something different to the table... check his stuff out on youtube just search "IamProfessorO beats" or something like that it should come up. his shit crazy

a biopic on metro in 2030 would be a dope movie to watch

put 40 on that list that guy carries drake lol put drake on a dead beat and you'd see
Havoc, Premo, Dre, Daz,
that was not expected....good to see a yungin that can talk and not all leaned out with countless other drugs in there system

Anyone know where that instrumental that starts at 3:21 is from?
*opens fl studio* once again
i like metro but y'all be using the word "Legend" to loosely
Not for this one i would say. He is literally the biggest producer in the game right now. And while he may not be the first trap hop producer, he is the most well known, and will be known as pioneer in years to come.
MrJTeleVision yeah "years to come'..you can't call somebody who has has a couples years in the game a legend
Agree with you that like Anthony Davis is a legend. Yeah he could be but dude just been in the game for like 3 years. We could consider Swizz beat a legend, Scott Storch. These dude serve the game 15-20 years plus. But Metro?...
Saucey Stunna ok but ill own up to it..yeah i used the wrong word but these other niggas wont admit they wrong
Mortin he is not no legend
metro got a deep voice, he should rap more
He said that’s not what he’s trying to do. Of course he could, but that’s not his signature craft
Fucking sick and dope studio broo so jelaus, I'm using Fruity Loops, grinding on my 350$ computer makeing beats. Inspiration bruh🔥🔥💯
Metro is the bridge of the music game without him you wouldn’t get nowhere.
I fuck with Metro But can we wait before calling someone Legendary atleast let him stay at this level for another 2-3 years We seen Scott Storch at one point Lex Luger tons of producers was hot then disappeared let him have some longevity first they do the same with Rappers and set them up with the pressure
wait till hes 30
He's been a Top Producer since he was like 19 or something so he's been in the game for awhile now.
but is Legend he's already been at this point way longer than lex and scorch.
And he's worked with almost every big rapper like Drake, Kanye, Future & so many more
Joemian Of The Tyde Tribe how he been on the scene since like 2013 but on this level on for the past & a half as the guy
I come here every few months just for the beat at 0:20
Same bro, is there no where to find the full version ?
@@Luca-uy9fe didnt find it:(, only thing i found is that 6love beat..
CardShark808 damn :(
metro boomin make it boom 😩 make it boooom 😩😩

Makes crappy beat...

@@eeefox1 lmao
@@eeefox1 *Make a hit, send the beat to a big artiste who'll get inspired by it, he'll lease it, make a good amount of money. Then go buy professional equipment by the money you just got and make a big name for yourself in the game.
@@TMOrtseambeats maybe i will,
maybe i will, thanks man!
@@eeefox1 you got it 🙏
Much respect . Visually u can easily tell that this guy ain't about bullish!t! He is an absolute hard worker! He is only 22 and it's just mind blowing how many tracks he has produced for big and popular artists . Salute!!!!!!
0:45 Bruh that shit fire
what is that?? so good
Not A Legend..LMAO. Quit giving titles like Legend when they havent earned that seniority or span of time to be Known As A Legend..
Damon Santori he had plenty of platinum singles at the age of 22 so I mean he's somewhere up there
You're comparing a producer to an old school rapper
he's making hits and working with big people at a young age
oh totally give you that.. no doubt..Not sayin hes not putting in time, just sayin simplistic beats arent Legendary, and he needs MANY Years Before becoming Legendary lol..
if its the quality of your work that makes you a legend then metro's definitely earned that title. remember he's been making beats for 6 years just because he hasnt been around for decades doesnt he mean he aint one
I'm guessing Metro might be a gamer, that laptop he's using is a gaming laptop
ShadowTriadWestWind the Razer is not just for gaming
He's sponsored by Razor that's why.
ShadowTriadWestWind most producers use gaming pcs due to their cpu, soundcard and Ram being super good. Plus for people like metro who dont sample often they need alot of ram to handle all of the sounds being processed on the track.
The London Thunder the gpu is what they use them for not ram
Podzie GPU has nothing to do with processing audio.
You have to think about that this nigga influenced whole fucking rap in the last 2 years and hes only 23
Anyone know the beat at 0:20?
He made a good point about just looking straight ahead and not focusing on what other people are doing. I feel sorry for these young kids on Instagram, looking at peoples profiles not realizing the struggle it took to get them that success. They gonna grow up thinking its easy. That's why I try to stay off instagram and social media in general as much as I can. Its hard to focus on your own greatness when your paying so much attention to trying to keep up with someone elses.
I remember when Lex Luger starting posting beats that resemble a lot like producers like Metro. Zaytoven and Luger will be forever in my eyes legends of this shit.
I just got me FL Studio 12 Producer Edition yesterday finally . been savin for it. hopefully I can get to a higher level in life with music producing.
Where is that beat from @ 0:23 ?
if metro dropped a rap song that shit would be #1 instantly.
unpopular opinion: the coldest metroboomin beat today is YG - 1am
Rick Flair Drip with Offset was pretty fucking hard too
he make it boom tho 😩
Why did he have to retire 😫🔥
Came back to this when i found out his mom passed, first thing he talked about was him mom. RIP momma boomin.
Whats the beat at 0:22??
trippyme still trying to find out
Inspirational
He is good but there are alot of better producers out there his style is not that unique
your already on youtube go check him out he's dope
well the beats that u listen too must be really repetitve XD because Metros beats get really boring to me..
9595113 its same thing, constant 808 hitting the bass, 140+ bpm kick and snare patterns, constant fucking hi hat rolls , 4 bar loop synthesizer and random percussion sounds layered over the kicks and barely any sidechaining ever used in his production T_T.... damn fucking shame..
Mike Dean, Wondagurl, Ronny J
Prograz I prefer underground producers like Icytwat, his beats are unique.
Producers deserve more recognisition
*video ends*
*opens up fl*
The real question is how did he link up with future and Gucci etc...
Documentary about a producer. No studio footage. Smh.
ayyy he still usin fl studio 11, cus fuck 12
#FLGang
need the name on 0:46
me too bro wtffff
Lol people in this comment section really buggin. I'm not one to throw "legend" around loosely, but this guy Metro Boomin has proved time and time again that he's in it for the long haul. 2013 was Mike Will. 2014 was DJ Mustard. Metro Boomin has been dominating since 2015 onward. Let's not forget to keep in mind that he's the producer behind "Bad & Boujee", "Mask Off", "Tunnel Vision", "Father Stretch My Hands Part 1." The producer behind "What A Time To Be Alive", which spawned how many hit singles? How can anyone say that he hasn't proven himself?? 😂😂😂
This dude got skilled.. he's so good. He's making all these trash ass rappers sound so damn good..
Dre can't even do that..
Dre takes talent and put a dope beat behind them
He's putting dope beats behind no talent having niggas and make them sound talented..lol
Do any one else agree ?
Yeah. Dre just got with YBN Cordae lol
edition work in these is gettin' tiight. game stepper.
Metro the Drake of the beat industry, unbeatable
Drake trash af
But he unbeatable... no one on his level rn
King Hollow Na he a commercial money machine that's it. Every decent rapper in the game is miles above his level
Plenty of dudes will smack drake in every way, shape, or form, but who has the same amount of bangers, attention, career longevity, influence, and support from other mainstream celebrities as drake RN? Closest thing to him is cole, kdot, and future, yet drake has almost double the amount of memorable bangers to the average hip hop fan than cole or kendrick, and half of futures bangers come from Drake HIMSELF. Trash, but no one is touching him impact wise
King Hollow Only thing drake has is popularity which dosen't mean shit. Every second trap artist has more bangers than drake.
Metro Boomin is one of the more recent producers who has worked hard and got there through his work. People like DJ Khaled are Wack and pay someone to produce, even Dre has a Ghost writer for his rap side. Metro is One of my favourites since Dre and hope he don’t lose his way and his core. 🙌🏼
What a legend! Super smart and talented dude. Fuckin bangin tunes too!
Producers are underrated
Best producer in the game right now🔥🔥🔥 long live Metro
Am I the only one who think Metro Boomin isn't all that specia? He's like your average trap bedroom producer just making it big these days.
"Legend" that's exaggarated , would you put this dude on the same level as Just Blaze or Timbaland? He's a really good beatmaker but he still not a producer, on the other hand Travis $cott....another story
Jean-Daniel Milard i feel like hes a young legend because he produced the largest commercial hits for the past 3 years and he has at least 7 more years🔥
Jean-Daniel Milard he’s officially a legend now tho
Noisey trap vids always have best instrumentals, that whole Atlanta documentary was fire
Damn this really motivated me and opened my eyes 🙌🏾
its crazy how much work it really takes, got to love it
Still using the Razer Blade I see
Suprised he actually uses it, thought he was only usin it for the razer vids
its a good computer for what he has to do, but he probably only uses them because he gets them for free
"I just knew it in the back of my mind like, man, if you put this much time in this, all day, you not doing non else, one day it's gotta work"
Young Metro keeping it 💯, a real inspiration
that thumbnail got him lookin like he pondering if he actually do want sum mo' or not
