Crazy that his come up is rarely talked about, he's also a part of the Dungeon Family too which notably has OutKast, Goodie Mob, Janelle Monäe & many other artists along with him being cousins with Rico Wade too is insane, RIP to Rico Wade.
He had all the chances to give up and admit defeat and he would've been right about doing so. Still he kept going to be the best. Absolutely unmatched work ethic and an inspiration for all of us. GOAT

All these insane things being uncovered so many artists and celebrities associated with really really f’ed up things and futures name never brought up in any allegations at all cause he a real one and the industry never ever changed him

I knew Future was a star from the very first time i heard his feature on Racks. It’s been crazy to see his journey so far. Solo is by far my most favourite track of his. Peak 4AM driving through the empty city kinda music.
I like your taste sir, my fav song of all time is very similar not solo but the very next track off HNDRXX “sorry”. Any genre any artist any time period I will choose that song to listen to for the rest of my life. Future really makes timeless music fr
The thing about the music industry is that you gotta be two different people, there’s the person then there’s the artist. It’s just like any other Job, for you to truly thrive in any industry whatsoever. You can’t always be your true self but at the end of the day you gotta stay real to yourself and be what works for you.
Who is Future? For the blind, he is light. For the hungry, he is bread. For the sick, he is the cure. For the sad, he is joy. For the poor, he is the treasure.
I think he is the embodiment of when hopelessness that your situation will change eventually leads to you changing. I think this is what a lot of people especially young men feel.”If my situation is messed up and won’t change no matter what. If people are still gonna hate me. If I’m still gonna lose the people I want Why change ? I’d rather keep doing what I’m good at and see where it gets me.” It’s unfortunate but the lack of options to take, lack of forgiveness to be had for others creates people like this. There is no redemption, no improvement, no empathy for you. The only thing that’s left for you to fall back on is money, drugs, women, and jewelry. So you dive head first into that lifestyle. The person that comes out of that lifestyle is not the same one that went in. This new person, is a monster…
He is the embodiment of hopelessness and self destruction and you see him smiling with pride yet his eyes pot-ray how sad he is. Thats why he wears shades when out on public.
I’ve seen him live 3 times. Out of 3, I think he played like 4 of the same songs that were in all the shows. His discography is massive. And besides Travis Scott, I’d say he’s the best live rap performance I’ve ever seen.
I’m not even a fan but what about Drake tho? I personally think he’s an industry plant but he’s been a star ever since those Sprite commercials and he never fell off seemingly
@@poindextertunes I think where people differentiate is that Drake switched to a Pop-Rap sound. Something easy to listen to with no real distinction. Once his 'Views' album got him household name status, pretty much everything he's done since then is basically another version of that album. Future has always had a distinct sound. He is methodical about trying new things, and is very often successful with using more alternative sounds. People like Future and Young Thug have inspired so many rappers but no one has been able to replicate what they do which keeps their sound fresh.
@@TracyJerome-l5r the story of 56 Nights happened when Future and DJ Esco were in Abu Dabi and DJ Esco got arrested and locked up for 56 nights. unfortunately, DJ Esco had a hard drive full of Futures music he had recorded for the past 2 years. they didn't know when he was gonna get out so Future had to go record Beast Mode with Zaytoven. listen to "Know The Meaning" on DS2! it'll explain some of it lyrically lol
@@TracyJerome-l5r DJ Esco was arrested in Dubai and held in jail for 56 nights, his harddrive that contained all of the 56 nights mixtape was seized. The only song Future could remember off the drive was March Madness.
solo is one of the greatest songs by future, that slow singing “i been going solo now” is one of the best things ever, on top of that cloudy, repetitive beat that just puts you in such an unexplainable “3 am alone” mood, perfect song
Future is definitely in the goat realm for the past decade 🙌 consistent bangers, under the radar but maintains relevance, evolution in each album and always trying new shxt
Didn’t he drop Monster, Beast Mode and 56 Nights within a few months?? That was a legendary run that not many can ever replicate. Kinda reminds me of now with We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You🔥🔥🔥RIP Rico Wade
His 2014-2016 run matches Lil Wayne’s 2006-2009 run. From albums and singles to mixtapes and features, just an insane level of quality output in such a short time.
You know that Future has truly made it to the top when fans start digging far into his musical past such as his songs “Statistics” with Big Rube. I’ve been listening to his 1000 mixtape since 2012. Only his true day one fans, up until this point, really know about that one. It has almost felt like being in the back corner of a building while the whole crowd is somewhere else, but now all of a sudden everybody has shown up to see what 1000 is all about. Shit is timeless, and Future has been a huge impact on me since before I became an adult.
Every now and then, I get an itch to listen to his music, but whenever I go find that music in other places, Gunna, Thug, 21, etc. It just doesn't scratch the itch. And that's not to say those guys are bad by any means. It's just to say that there is only and will only ever be one Future.
A lot of people like to minimize future message to just drugs but I believe he truly does and always has represented pure pain from the struggle and being from the bottom. Sure not every song touches on that legitimately but you can always tell throughout his catalog that it’s a common theme of talking about overcoming the bottom from his pov. That’s why future is relatable to me
This is actually a culturally important video because people really try and group Future in with these "Minute-made" artists and downplay his greatness
This video is giving me inspiration. I just released my debut EP and I am about to turn 30 years old. It is great to see Future's story about how he took time to develop his style and he didn't blow up until his late 20's! Goes to show you that you can achieve great things by chasing your dreams.
I remember when Same Damn Time dropped. finding out he was making music for years before that is crazy. I think a lot of us saw him as younger than he was, and that helped him out. I thought he was the same age as YC when I heard "Racks." I appreciate the criticism that future acts younger than he is, especially with the "I never liked you" album, but it feels like he's playing a role that is 10-15 years younger than his real life.
@@Dhrgriffinit is in the long term better to hold if your music is aging like fine wine, future might not be a household name in 30 years so this is him divesting that just in case.
Damn that quote from Thug is crazy cuz he said he’s making music to avoid from getting a fed charge and all these years later he still end up catching that fed charge. Smh
This documentary can be summed up by Future’s line in Look Ahead. The intro to Honest: “Never sacrifice who you are Then you turn yourself into a star Turned myself into a avatar”
Idc what anybody gotta say about it but that Honest album by future was a classic fr most underrated album he ever dropped damn near the most underrated album period by a major artist. I knew Future was a star from the very first time i heard his feature on Racks. It’s been crazy to see his journey so far. Solo is by far my most favourite track of his. Peak 4AM driving through the empty city kinda music.
Something happens to your soul when Solo starts to intro 🔥
I like your taste sir, my fav song of all time is very similar not solo but the very next track off HNDRXX “sorry”. Any genre any artist any time period I will choose that song to listen to for the rest of my life. Future really makes timeless music fr
Ngl until this video I thought he was the one doing the hook for racks😭
Future wrote the racks song
@@guedrini2045 i fucking love sorry
I could not imagine my music library without Future. I just simply can't.

The thing about the music industry is that you gotta be two different people, there’s the person then there’s the artist. It’s just like any other Job, for you to truly thrive in any industry whatsoever. You can’t always be your true self but at the end of the day you gotta stay real to yourself and be what works for you.
This feels like a Batman villain backstory
Who is Future?
For the blind, he is light. For the hungry, he is bread. For the sick, he is the cure. For the sad, he is joy. For the poor, he is the treasure.
Not even close
I saw u in thegreatones comment section
I’m a big FUTURE fan but he not Christ bro, I cringed when I read this lol
🐐
That's God bro
How you skip over Purple Reign? 😢
Can’t cover it all sometimes you forget but definitely understood 😏
Purple Reign
@@Valanci555 pot-ray? lmao
I just wanna let you know that when "Same Damn Time" came out, we were bumping it in our vehicles in Afghanistan
I’ve seen him live 3 times. Out of 3, I think he played like 4 of the same songs that were in all the shows. His discography is massive. And besides Travis Scott, I’d say he’s the best live rap performance I’ve ever seen.
RIP Rico Wade 🕊️ Thank you for your numerous contributions to Hip Hop in your lifetime 🙏🏾🙏🏾 & free Thug

Future just has his own vibe man.
Future really is one of the greatest, most influential rappers of our time. And he is showing no signs of slowing down
“its only easy to replicate, it was very hard to originate”😌
Future owe you concert tickets for this video! You did this one.
Future is unironically the most consistent rapper of the last decade. He’s in the goat conversation of hip hop
He literally has Lebron James longevity of the rap game
He is def the goat
@@poindextertunes can’t deny his position or power, but he’s been on a gradual decline since like 2013
That Thug quote hurts honestly seeing how it aged... Damn
I think this is what I needed i was depressed the whole day thinking that I wont amount to anything but this woke me up

Get at it, I believe in yall. God got us. We just gotta make the change. Peace and prosperity be with you!
Same family. I made a similar comment. I'm 28 finding out he was 27 gave me a little hope. I'm glad I found it

Yes bro had a hit weekend
You can't make this video without taking about Purple Reign. That mixtape was massive
That album was Devine bro was singing his hard out. I just need a girlfriend like damn bro straight pain
This documentary style production on Future’s incredible story is chilling. Thank you for this video in particular. Super motivational for artists!!!
future generations will study future. he is big now but his legacy will, as his name suggests, overshadow his present
Honestly the future will expose just how bad he really is. They will analyze his "bars" and laugh. Nigga just like trends
Future > drake
Crazy asl
🧢
Thats tough
Never that
I agree. Wanted to disagree. Then I thought about it, and I listen to way more future than drake.
March Madness original story is crazy
56 Nights too!
What are they???
@@neame-bh3uqAnd he kept humming it to himself so he would remember it and re-record it. It’s also the story behind Kno The Meaning
I feel like only real future fans know that he belongs in the big three but it gets dismissed because everyone thinks his music isn’t art.
I’d put him top 5 personally, but I’m from the BR area lol
@@joshwelch5837 type shi i grew up in atl so future been in my ears sense i was a kid it didnt really start to get his music till i was older fr
solo is one of the greatest songs by future, that slow singing “i been going solo now” is one of the best things ever, on top of that cloudy, repetitive beat that just puts you in such an unexplainable “3 am alone” mood, perfect song
Future is definitely in the goat realm for the past decade 🙌 consistent bangers, under the radar but maintains relevance, evolution in each album and always trying new shxt
I just lost my job and this feeds me hope ❤❤
Didn’t he drop Monster, Beast Mode and 56 Nights within a few months?? That was a legendary run that not many can ever replicate. Kinda reminds me of now with We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You🔥🔥🔥RIP Rico Wade
Future-Hndrxx
“He’s been making music before I was born” Holy shit I’m getting old.
That’s why future is relatable to me
cap cap cap he talk about chanel body suits. relate to what.
@@ktv9247 you can’t relate and that’s fine and it’s also hilarious but it’s fine
I bet u white
This is actually a culturally important video because people really try and group Future in with these "Minute-made" artists and downplay his greatness
7:17 “ get my grandma to sell my dope that ain’t a lie” future - never stop
This video is giving me inspiration. I just released my debut EP and I am about to turn 30 years old. It is great to see Future's story about how he took time to develop his style and he didn't blow up until his late 20's! Goes to show you that you can achieve great things by chasing your dreams.
Future has been my favorite rapper since 2010 ppl looked at me like I was crazy 😂. This was a great watch thank you!
Same fam. Lol the homies always got annoyed cause I always wanted to play the burned future cd in the whip 😂
Yep dirty sprite, 1000 it’s amazing to see where he at now but I knew it. Been listening to this dude for 14 years
You Know someone is good at something, when they make it look easy.
It should be illegal for future to go this hard
Future was the anthem of my military career 2010-2015. Sad, but welcomed for sure.
In some way, on some level, we all relate to future. That’s what makes his music so special.
Our boy sold 612 songs for 65-75 million. He did Good! I appreciate you good sir! Great video
Don’t if that smart or not isn’t owning your masters in the long term more beneficial, I could be wrong tho
Smh
Very well said. Excellent write up from a top 0.01% of Future 🥤 listeners on Spotify. 10/10. I rock with this. Keep doing these.
I did not expect this to be so damn motivating. Even more respect for future and now also for you volksgeist
This documentary can be summed up by Future’s line in Look Ahead. The intro to Honest:
“Never sacrifice who you are
Then you turn yourself into a star
Turned myself into a avatar”
This is the documentary I didn’t know I needed
Idc what anybody gotta say about it but that Honest album by future was a classic fr most underrated album he ever dropped damn near the most underrated album period by a major artist. I've been saying this since it dropped in 2014. That album layed the base foundation of future's still current melodic sound
Bro move that dope was my favorite song as a kid when it came out
Exactly!!!!
The story-telling is INSANE, great video, great conclusions, amazing presentation.
Love the work you put into the video, its production, and the project as a whole.
I watched the entire video and it felt like minutes, I'll study you and you magneticism, because you sucked me into the story by the first sentence you said.
