    Joel - FYI - I have a 2003 Accord LX Sedan 4cyl 2.4 w/ manual transmission - K24 engine. I have two sensors for coolant - one goes into the engine block on the rear of the motor near the EGR valve and I've been told that one sends messages to the ECM computer to control air / fuel mixture. ( ECT - engine coolant temperature sensor ) The other is the one you replaced in this video ( at the base of the radiator ) - does the one you replaced control the dash temperature gauge ? I've seen many videos and no one truly defines which does which.

      On k24 the one on the radiator is thermo switch sensor for radiator fan..And the other on the rear of the engine block is the temperature coolant sensor that controls the gauge and send information to ECU.

      The sensor on the rear of the engine (ECT1) feeds the dash temperature gauge and as well does the other things you mentioned rightly. .
      The sensor on the bottom of the radiator (ECT2) is what the ECU uses to control the radiator fan and as well determine the efficiency of the cooling system.
      Note though, that ECT2 is a thermo switch in 2003 and 2004 models only (and here it directly controls the radiator relay), while it is actually a temperature sensor in 2005 to 2007 models (and here it feeds signal to the ECU which then controls the radiator relay).

    So, which one exactly is the P2185 "Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit High" for 2007 Honda Accord i-VTEC 2.4 DOHC Engine?

    That’s not the coolant temperature sensor 🙄, that’s the coolant fan switch sir

      I got the P0128 code and replaced the thermostat with OEM one. But the same code came back 😡. The mechanic said that I need to replace both sensors (the one in this video and the other one near the engine block) and a new thermostat. Is that necessary? Why not replace the fan switch/sensor first and see if that will resolve the issue? Then perhaps the second sensor if it didn't work? The thermostat is brand new and just been replaced so no need to replace it again unless it's defective which is unlikely?

      For the 2003 and 2004 models, it was a switch which turns on tje relay at the right temperature. And the relay turns on the fan.
      For the 2005, 2006 and 2007 models, it is a sensor which gives feedback to the ECU. The ECU turns on the relay (at around 98 deg Celcius), which then turns on the fan.

      It's a sensor for this 2007 model.

      that's the coolant temp sensor hence why it's in the radiator and with coolant in there
