Recreating Limone ball is impossible task on FM. Not having Bastoni od WCD on A is a crime against the humanity :). Pavard is WCD on Support, Dimarco roll, is impossible to recreate, he has so much freedom of choice. He stays back sometimes, sometimes he hugs the line, sometimes Bastoni hugs the line, his like IWB on A. Hes kind of a playmaker on WB position. Dumfries is more winger than WB, because his touch is like brick wall, and they always push him up when building up play, and Barella goes wide to cover that space. Calhanoglu is DM position Regista, he roams wide left and right, to be a passing option, and sometimes comes on the edge of penalty area, from late run from behind. Barella roles the closes thing on FM is Carrilero, who covers wide space left by Dumfries, and is kind of a presser. And going into team instructions, Inter never press high, like NEVER. 90% of time is mid block, high to normal line, and they never press the opposition GK. They just channel the opposition play from mid block to the mid, where they have advantage of 4 players, Lautaro coming so deep in the mid, playing DF on support in FM terms. Also, Inter as mentioned, never focus play down the right, because Dumfries is useless in having the ball to build up. Its center or left. Even when Dumfries has the ball, most of the time he goes back to reset the play. And also Inter is comfortable to invite crosses, because Acerbi, Bastoni, Pavard and Dumfries are high players, and they comfortably deal with crosses. How the game is wired, only pressing team play to work, its impossible to recreate Limone ball and have a success. Tried it like zillion times (Inter HC fan here), and sadly it doesn't work, and there are some player movement, that sadly, the game cannot recreate.

It's impossible to do because they vary whether CBs go ahead of the midfield and vice versa. That can't be replicated in FM so always gonna be compromise on certain positions and roles.

I have noticed that when AI plays with a back three it is usually DEF - DEF and optionally ATT, try to make Pavard simply WCB - DEF, Dimarco set to WB - SU and give instructions to dribble less and take more risks which will encourage him to play the ball, and experiment with the pressure line and with the defense line, you may just happen to create a beast like Inzaghi. You said that Dumfries is hopeless at playmaking, so put him on CWB - ATT and give him instructions to take less risks but dribble more which will cause him not to take part in the action.

@mateuszdylda6840 I'll give that a go. I like playing 3 at the back but I invariably end up in some form of 3-4-3 rather than Inzaghi's 3-5-2. I think he's one of the most innovative and exciting coaches out there, so would love to replicate. I wonder if "Be more expressive" and "Roam from position" might help with the problem I mentioned.

@@jackcrosby448 I think you have to adapt to the game engine to be successful, in this version the engine does not promote Regista and instead I would give DM without any guidelines which will also allow Calhanoglu to go higher sometimes.
