These subs should handle double the power with ease... I owned a pair of the 3.0 v2 15" versions and had them running on a Sundown SCV-6000 at .5 ohm with no issues as far as failure or heating up and hit really hard for a sub only rated at 1,500 rms... I did however, experience the push terminals vibrating loose and also the studs breaking off.... This is an issue with a lot of companies I've delt with because a little bit of glue might break the bank... Very few companies glue their studs and nuts on the terminals. Direct leads would be so much easier on the consumer.

Miguel ramirez what do you mean? like how it's visible with no type of screening? it doesn't matter if the coil gets dusty just as long as no foreign objects such as metal shavings get in the magnet gap it will be fine. I wouldn't invert these if you have little kids though you'd probably find some French fries or Barbie head in the cooling system 😂😂😂
Miguel ramirez as long as your box has no debris you will be just fine. Dust / dirt won't build because of air movement / good amount of pressure.
There's very FEW subs that DON'T have an open basket like this, I'm sure we could count on a single hand the makes/models that come with any type of VC protection. The TI style basket is easily the most popular style on the market and with good reason.

Hey guys I am running 2k watts type r's and my voltage drops quite a bit, I have on 01 civic alternator putting out 70amp. Should i upgrade my alternator to 130amp or upgrade my battery in the front? Or add one to the back?

Jeremy Caraballo I'd definitely upgrade both the alt and batt, I have a 1988 Toyota celica I'm fixing to put in one sundown x15 in, I will be putting a xs batt in with a 230 amp alt and a wiring kit for the amp and a big 3 upgrade as well but I'm going to make that big 4 by connecting to the ground on the back of the alt and then take that to my batt, I'm currently running a Sony 12 inch sub 300 watt rms if I remember right and a 1000 watt Sony amp which is not cranked up, I don't like my Sony system it's cheap but it's better than no bang at all I guess 😂

Ive owned numerous Skar products and have dealt with them before and have nothing but amazing things to say about them But thanks for the advise

this sub/basket looks like the vxf from skar.. I have the vxf12d2 and it just got broke in and it's pounds pretty good @1ohm on my skv2.2500.. it's getting just about all of my amp, and it hits hard and loud.. but I haven't been able to compare it to anything else bigger.. I'd like a sundown x12 or a skar zvxV2 12d1 or d2 not sure yet
jason. love to meet you sometime. my system just got stolen. 15 inch Fi Btl and a 4.5cuft box. and a 2,400 watt rms Hifonics Brutus and a Sony headunit. and my w 50 inch tvs from my house while i was away at a funeral. i will get something new soon when i can afford it. kids come first though. keep up your videos so it keeps me thinking that i will get mine going again.
