Bro, that basket is literally on 100’s of subwoofers. It’s been in production since before skar was even a thing. It’s an open tooled frame meaning there is no patent anyone can use it. So comparing this to Skar at all because of the basket is kinda ridiculous. I’m pretty sure Andrew at Ampere actually designed his subwoofer. Kevin at skar bought a sub from China off the shelf, and slapped skar on the dustcap with a little metal tag on the bottom plate, and sold it. Just saying man. The vxf is the same sub as at least 7-8 different subs out there with another companies name on it.

Skar's evl and vxf are probably their most engineered woofer. The zvx is kind of a let down not going to lie but the evl is hands down the best pound for pounds woofer skar sells

@@HardKnocks160s I know the owner of ampere and I've experienced 2 12s with just a 2k and I've also seen 2 of these 18s handle over 6k rms and these subs are some of the best sounding I've ever heard made my 13.5 jl w7 sound like garbage
which should i choose im on a budget so im thinking of this sub or the sundown x12 v2. which would perform good all around, i already know how the sundown performs but still never heard this sub would it be a beast like the x12?
If I want to run a dual alternator setup in my yukon xl with the dual alternator bracket could I run 1 factory alternator and 1 mechman? Or would both alternators have to be same amperage?

First of all for him to go and dig heavy ass speaker out take his time to sign it rebox it back up is easily worth $50 on top of that you're paying for the signature of someone you obviously look up to if you want the signature. It seems like a good deal and I pay him every time I buy a sub.
That's the same basket as the Skar VXF12 but everything else is beefed up. It looks amazing👍🏼
