I find this hobby endlessly fascinating. The amount of time, effort, skill and technical knowledge it must take to put together something like this is incredible; I have nothing but respect for it and love to see it. But to put all that into something so stupid and pointless is mind-boggling, although I suppose that in itself is exactly the point.
And a pair of hearing aids due to the long term damage to his ears. He'll be deaf far sooner than those that don't subject themselves to this type of sound.. 100% distortion. ARGH. No bueno..

I watched this and laughed. Thinking about the time my best friend comes to pick me up with his new speaker installation. I think 4 sundown 15s is what he said. Making a long story short, As soon as the bass hit, it was so unbelievably Powerful and unbearable. Not something that I enjoyed. I was trying to tell him to turn it down because I was on The Verge of a panic attack ,but of course he could not hear me. So I got out of the vehicle at a red light and refused to get back in. Yet this dude sat thru all that abuse. You bass heads are a different breed.
I love the craftsmanship. People discount the engineering - I see some tricks in here, that windshield divider which I'm sure does double duty as a brace - and I bet that double-slab flat wood dash top is more than just for show, too - but cosmetically it just hides the engineering as a showpiece. So killer. And congrats.
Hands down work of art, so much respect 👊 the amount of hrs you put in would probably blow people's minds, congratulations, thanks JP for showing the record run.....
People really have no idea how long it takes to build a system like this. Heck even my single 12 on stock electrical took like 30 hours of work to install and build the box.

I have never been in this truck but loud bass will make your eye balls bounce and makes it to where you can't talk or breathe. Most people end up making a humming/grunt sound without trying to because it's like G-force hitting you lmao

I miss this stuff I used to have a system when the bass hit my vision would jump looking like the road was jumping. Miss it I had 8 JL 12s 2 M.A. 15s 2000 watt planet audio amp 1800 watt M.A. amp and a 2000 watt fosgate amp in a mini van it was crazy loud but also back in 2004 I'm sure its nothing like today's audio. That shit was way to loud I didn’t hear shit but bass I get it’s a bass competition but he did a music challenge so where the words. I have 2 L7’s and 2 skar rp1200 amps and a kicker cx300.4 and I need more vocals but they hear me coming 4 blocks away if I pull up next to you the bass shakes your car as bad as it shakes mine
This shows how some people can go to extremes when it comes to Auto Sound. Bass notes are pumped in to this system, the sound so powerful the microphone on the camera picks it up as a sputtering noise. Bet this can kill the gas mileage in the vehicle.

Are the inverted subs out of phase? Or could it actually be an isobaric settup? That would be awesome. It looked like a sealed enclosure. Kinda small. So maybe.
190 spl is the same equivalent pressure as a grenade exploding a inch from your ear. 200 is considered fatal but anything over 180 could kill by knocking the heart out of rhythm or causing internal organ damage. Most do not appreciate how amazingly insane 190spl is. It is as loud as the discovery space shuttle lifting off and hearing it from the launch pad. Fun fact they dumped water not to prevent fire but they seen that the sound pressure was actually bouncing off the launch tour and reflecting back at the shuttle causing serious damage and risk of catastrophic failure so they found the easiest way to knock down the shock waves that form and were reflecting back at the shuttle cause water absorbs all most all the energy cause it can’t be compressed. A fucking thermo nuke is only 30spl more at 220. I mean seriously 190 is insane and very potentially deadly if u were in there. There is a video of a guy who puts a watermelon in his car that hits upper 170’s spl and literally it vaporized instantly when he hit it with a burp. Really showed the actual power and ability to cause a pressure wave every bit as deadly and dangerous as a stick of Dynamite exploding.
What do you guys think of skar audio? I only have $300 to spend on subs, an amp, and a box and they have packages that look pretty decent. I'm just wondering if I can do any better with like a $150 amp, $100 sub, and a $50 box? (or something along those lines) Any recommendations?? I haven't had a system for years and I'm dying to hear some bass!!
Go to CarToys and look at their JL Audio party packs. Comes with it all, and it won't cook anytime soon if you take care of it. It's not much but its clean and cost effective
Actually Sean Boss, that's not exactly true. Bass has LESS effect, but still damages hearing. There's a reason the mortar training includes ear plugs. My car "only" hit 148.8 with 400w in the 1990s, and it effed my right ear to shreds.

If I just had more serious booster with equalizer I might have had one of the first real boomin systems. Of course, back then there wasn’t really much ‘ boomin ‘ things to play on it . Actually it's not as bad on the ear drums as you would think because it's such low base. Not as bad a high pitch. But still not good
