@@parallelfifths2824 Augustin Szokos. He's much more reserved in using too many sequential harmonic patterns. Like this piece uses a lot of sequences throughout. Some of his pieces do use an abundance of sequences. I think baroque music's strength lies in its potential to develop interesting interweaving melodies. Sequences force you to use the same melody multiple times back to back. The same motif used in different entrances will be categorized as imitation, rather than sequences. This is the main difference between early and late Bach.

@@欺软怕硬 Too many sequences, got it. I'll just cut a few and it will be perfect.

@@parallelfifths2824 Not if having too many sequences is the theme of the suite :) It's just that the harmonic progressions are mostly step-wise one after another, which is common in a lot of neo-baroque composers and Italian style baroque music, I think. It's really just a personal preference thing. I'm too familiar with this form, so it doesn't really excite me anymore lol

I love this! Looking forward to the professional recording of the full partita one day. The insistent repeated note motif that starts in bar 25 reminds me of the prelude from Bach's second English Suite (the bit that starts around bar 55).e

Definitely looked carefully at Bach’s suites and partitas before, during, and after composing these partitas of my own.

The left hand is very similar to Goldberg Var No.1. Nice corrente, really haven't listened something closer to Bach.

Where can I buy scores and CD recordings of your work? Do you have a website?

You can find plenty of my compositions on IMSLP for free. Every few years, I have a few dozen books bound of a set of pieces I finished recently, and then I offer these to friends and interested people by soliciting the books on Facebook. My group, Nuova Pratica, has some free videos on RUclips. Otherwise both myself and the group have yet to make a recording, but I have a mind to fix both of those things. Thanks for your interest, Mark.
