How about a follow up on these rules and regulations? Have any of these rules taken hold? Meaning have any of them changed or been revised and have they been put into place?
Crazy how they just make all these rules up I’m all for being safe but damn let truckers be truckers we make the world go around we should have some kind of say so on certain things
And this is what they want that small fleets and owner would disappear and only big corporations be left. This is so sad what they've done to the world and people do nothing but comply, comply comply to the more and more stupid and unnecessary rules.
More ways to extract $$$ from truckers, I could be a dumb truck driver, but even I know damn well, if they want to increase safety on US roadway, they got to start with fourwheelers, either some sort of mandatory training, heavier penalties, until then it is a lot easier to milk the working man!
And they wonder why the trucking industry is over a half a million drivers short !!!they regulate us to death but they bitch about we can't get drivers and it's hurting the supply chain who wants to deal with this shit it's not worth the aggravation or the stress I thought about being an owner operator but it's not worth all the headaches with these bullshit rules and regulations I'm down for common sense rules but this shit is getting ridiculous!!I know owner operators who have turned their keys in or just sold their trucks because they are tired of killing themselves to make a living while someone who has NEVER driven a truck slept in a rig never had to find a place to park or my favorite parking in sketchy or sun down towns (my favorite)make rules for a job they don't know or do
If that's speed Governor mandate goes through I'm definitely quitting. Let's say every truck on the road is capped at 60 miles an hour ... they are going to either have to allow longer service hours or America's shelves going to be near empty due to late deliveries. 14 hours is already a long enough shift. Think being stuck on the road longer than usual because you're forced to go slower. Not to mention the impact on traffic. Plus we're already away from our families weeks on end. This makes it even longer to get back to them. You're a fool if you vote Yes for this.
should do a video about the speedest way to update email etc on carrier . I made a email change which many cppanies wont work with preferred email if work with me at all for load and load apps as they want to match . Problem is FMCSA takes a month as far as I can see whether you update yourself with a PIN or do biannual Form 150 YIKES ! :(
Everybody needs to get together with OOIDA And try to go in front of the federal government and try to get the trucking industry reregulated the way it was before it was deregulated in 1980. We need a bare minimum right per mile. That's guaranteed to the truck that can be negotiated just like it is now but it needs to be a bear minimum That is set by the federal government. For example a dryvan. Should be paid no less than 3.00 per mile Any direction it goes 3.25 bare minimum for flatbed 3.50 bare minimum for stepdeck. None of this 2.00 -2.75 per mile crap. But you get my point. There needs to be a re regulation of the trucking industry and guaranteed federal set rates That have a bare minimum that can be paid to the truck per mile. ! That will increase each year. With inflation. It's time to re regulate the trucking industry!
No what needs to happen is brokers should get a cap rate of no higher then 20% of the load that way brokers could make more money by negotiating hire rates but the trucker and the broker makes more money not just the broker this way they are limited by how much they negotiate with the shipper not how much they cheat the trucker out of
brokers are stealing 60-80%... with current inflation ratings and fuel dryvan Owner operators should be paid 3.50; reefer 3.60, flatbed 3.90, stepdeck 4.50, heavy haul 6.80... In Europe shippers and dispensers trained to work directly with each other... there is no such a thing as broker in Europe... that's why everything over there is cheaper for customers...
If I were a regulation officer for commercial vehicles in USA, I would do there rules: If driver has no experience and just got an CDL, let it be first year of driving driver should have limiter 60 MPH with smart pass 3 MPH over(for 90 minutes a day)... second year of driving 65 MPH... if no violations or avoidable accidents, on third year driver gonna have 70 MPH limiter... if no violations, on forth year of driving driver limiter is 75 MPH... and so on... If driver creates an accident on any of the consecutive years, his limiter drops to 60 at first time and driver required to build public trust as a new driver... The other law I would change: Within 50 miles of the pick up or delivery, driver should be exempt from HOS no matter state, no matter what local county thinks. Another law: On duty status don't go on 70 hours clock. Only driving goes. Another law: credit HOS: If you need 4-5 (more) hours more to complete your delivery, you can use them same day but next 2 day you must extract those hours to have good rest. I believe this gonna solve more problems with fatigue driving and on time deliveries, and some loads in grey area 700-800 miles that are big for solos and little for team drivers... Create a law that gonna require states to build fuckin normal concrete/all season road if they want to ticket/enforce some of their stupid their laws... And each person of that state should pay a $100 a year for every new law that state creating above the federal adequate laws and truckers should receive those money for delivering to those states/drivers obey local laws if state pays for it/driver getting fined if violates laws... That way state won't make more laws than they could pay for. Speed limiter regulationsfor car people Should be similar to ones proposed upwards, CDL school should be required for all pick up truck drivers who haul trailer= no matter the weight, they must complete something to understand how to drive with a trailer... Bus drivers should get CDL class A... All truckers agree on that, bus drivers don't have a clue what is following distance and breaking distance... Speed limit reform in USA... USA highways should be 55 on the right lane and 60 second lane, 65 on the 3rd and so on... lanes speed limit inside cities... At rural areas USA should have unlimited if no cars present within 1/2 miles, less than 20 MPH difference when passing another vehicle... and slowing down sections where ramps, exits, curves, hills, TN... New rule that would change America, is ban TN road safety rulemaking guys, put them to jail and create safe and better law: particularly 55 zones in areas where they installed 70 and should put 70 MPH in zones where they put 55... problem solved... TN solved... A new law for TN people, they must pass driving test in 3 neighbor states to get driving license... seriously... Ok... that was a joke but something needs to be done in TN... And few last of the list: Truck drivers should rate states, if state got bad ratings in fields: 1-10 1-10 1-100 1-10 1-10 1-10 If state has low ratings, federal government need to check compliance of the state and impose fines, those funds will be used to lower insurance rates and road maintenance...
I just renewed my CDL class A and planning to add hazmat endorsement after I do the ELDT training. Do I need to do behind the wheel test or not? I'm from California. Thanks the answers
At this point we all need to stick together and defund and dismantle these idiots All In enough is enough we gave these people that power and they have abused it at every inch of the way not one person involved in the CSA Transportation has ever driven a truck or holds a CDL basically the people making all these rules up for us had no idea what they're doing
Supreme court already ruled that only congress can legislate and make regulations. groups like FMCSA are not unlike ATF. How is it they are making regulations?
This isn’t completely accurate. Only Congress can enact federal legislation but it certainly has the power to create administrative agencies and then delegate them rulemaking authority, which it has done with FMCSA and thousands of other federal agencies. The agencies, in turn, can only regulate within the scope of authority granted to them by Congress (or the president in some situations).
Mouth swaps that can then be used to harvest DNA? Are said mouth swaps going to have a 5 percent false positive or is it higher or lower? When are the publishing the study on the testing method?
Put speed limiters on all vehicles this morning in construction zone a car passed me doing 102mph in a 45 mph zone but we can't do that because we wouldn't get our votes I say just park the trucks for a month maybe the people will appreciate us
If a driver gets caught jumping an OOS order, it’s an automatic disqualification from driving for a minimum of 6 months (for the first offense) up to 5 years, potential fines of at least $4k, and potential criminal prosecution
2/3 of highway fatalities have 1 or more drivers with mind altering drugs or alcohol in their bloodstream. Any law or regulation, other than random drug and alcohol screening of all drivers, including pedestrians and cyclists, farmers, highway construction workers, is simply an attack on truck drivers!
Can you tell me which government agency (if any) polices fraud brokers? I need to report a company that collects transport funds and then does not pay the independent transport carriers.
Western express has this smart speed thing on their trucks where if it detects a MPH sign, it will cut down to that speed. I just felt like a road hazard driving for them. The last truck I drove with them was a very slow 2022 International.
Another alphabet soup entity, making rules, laws & regulations on something they have no clues on.... Like truck driving, safety etc.... This should be up for a vote period....
You still have guys who failed a drug test from smoking weed a bazillion years ago on that 1 Thanksgiving day when Ray Ray, Da-Da and Sid was behind Big Mama house waiting on the food to get done apparently they still high 😂😂😂 meanwhile Dallas Alice and Super Dan the trucker smoking meth in that ole clapped out FLD with the dangling exhaust.
If they install speed limiter‘s, they won’t be able to give all these BS tickets that they’ve been giving us over the years for going 5 miles over and destroying a truck drivers career. All these laws are jokes.
FMCSA RULES. That's not Law. Legislature makes Law. contact your Legislator. Same applies to ATF. Most lately are. Unconstitutional. And are subject to Law challenge. And litigation.
After work I can drink alcohol... Why can't I smoke some marijuana after work...???? Recreational marijuana is legal in over half the state's... There is thousands of damm good experience truck drivers that like to smoke after work... That is where your shortage is... Legalize marijuana... This COUNTRY needs a lot more EXPERIENCE TRUCK drivers now
Thank you for breaking it all down into simple bullet points 👍
How about a follow up on these rules and regulations? Have any of these rules taken hold? Meaning have any of them changed or been revised and have they been put into place?
Crazy how they just make all these rules up I’m all for being safe but damn let truckers be truckers we make the world go around we should have some kind of say so on certain things
You do have all the say, you can just say "I'm staying home"
I sold all my trucks
Closed my
Authority
Best thing that happened to me
And this is what they want that small fleets and owner would disappear and only big corporations be left. This is so sad what they've done to the world and people do nothing but comply, comply comply to the more and more stupid and unnecessary rules.
Thank goodness I’m close to retiring!
Wish I found you sooner. Good info, subscribed

Yeah get the road karen off the road, lol. It sucks to be held up by total strangers on a power trip.
Regulators really love more regulations
And they wonder why the trucking industry is over a half a million drivers short !!!they regulate us to death but they bitch about we can't get drivers and it's hurting the supply chain who wants to deal with this shit it's not worth the aggravation or the stress I thought about being an owner operator but it's not worth all the headaches with these bullshit rules and regulations I'm down for common sense rules but this shit is getting ridiculous!!I know owner operators who have turned their keys in or just sold their trucks because they are tired of killing themselves to make a living while someone who has NEVER driven a truck slept in a rig never had to find a place to park or my favorite parking in sketchy or sun down towns (my favorite)make rules for a job they don't know or do
Nothing about safety, it's all about money and control

Unfortunately today's trucking business is for slave minded people.

The only possible reason for a mouth swab would be to get your DNA for a database......This deal smells a little fishy to me...
I said the same thing!!!
Super suspect.. Fuck this, I will quit.
That isnt the only reason. You are just looking for UFOs. They already have everything they need on you.
Thanks for the video and information

Let's remove FMCSA workers who have never driven OTR for a minimum of 1 year; for instance the former FMCSA Director Mitch McConnells' wife....
I concur
Good starting point.
Yeah, she needs to stay home and take care of his one brain cell!🤯
What you said 😂😂
Why waste time posting things that aren't going to happen. Its writing on bathroom walls

How do future drivers find out what medicine disqualifys them before paying for a DOT exam
I just renewed my CDL class A and planning to add hazmat endorsement after I do the ELDT training. Do I need to do behind the wheel test or not? I'm from California. Thanks the answers
No. It’s just a written test for hazmat
Hazmat is just an endorsement test written test but have to retake everytime you renew license
How about mandatory drug testing of ALL Federal Employees, including ALL White House Admin! Joey🧠🔥🥔
Mouth swabs would carve a path to allow driver's to smoke weed so long as they were not DUI.
How so?
At this point we all need to stick together and defund and dismantle these idiots All In enough is enough we gave these people that power and they have abused it at every inch of the way not one person involved in the CSA Transportation has ever driven a truck or holds a CDL basically the people making all these rules up for us had no idea what they're doing
Wow there fixing everything what they should do is stop messing with people that are doing what they can't
Today's trucking business is for slave minded people.
Anyone know any good dot lawyers ?

I’m a New driver. Can I bobtail from Texas to California under personal conveyance?
If you’re not pulling a load or on your way to pick up a load you can use it
Sounds like better ideals
The word you are looking for is idea
What can they do to you if you deny the out of service and keep on rolling?
If a driver gets caught jumping an OOS order, it’s an automatic disqualification from driving for a minimum of 6 months (for the first offense) up to 5 years, potential fines of at least $4k, and potential criminal prosecution
You loose a lot more than just your driving job! That is for sure!
Could you please let me know who has the authority for pulling tanker and hazardous endorsement s fmsca or state of Wisconsin tks Dave nett
The CDL program (including endorsements) is federally regulated but administered by each individual state.
You don't have google?
Automatic braking devices in semi trucks or very dangerous almost wrecked several times in several different trucks do to them malfunctioning
Defund the fmcsa

Don’t you just love how people who have never driven trucks knows what is best for truckers? FMCSA. What a joke.
Driver pay let's talk
Well, I think its time to think about a different profession.. This is all getting too crazy. Fuckem, I will just do something else.
I've made my decision. I'M OUT! Just wondering if i should let my med card lapse or keep it current?
Another alphabet soup entity, making rules, laws & regulations on something they have no clues on.... Like truck driving, safety etc.... This should be up for a vote period....

I wanna do a movie 🍿.
Let's do a documentary
WHY AREN'T LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS NOT DRUG TESTED..???
THEY HAVE GUNS ..CHASE PEOPLE..
IS THIS NOT A SAFETY SENSITIVE JOB...????????
Freedom lost
FMCSA RULES. That's not Law. Legislature makes Law. contact your Legislator. Same applies to ATF. Most lately are. Unconstitutional. And are subject to Law challenge. And litigation.
