- 1989 Saleen Mustang with less than 5,000 miles on it in the iconic 1980's and early 90's color combo with the metallic gold stripes and wheels with the uber rare tan Flofit interior. A true time capsule of a Foxbody Saleen Mustang.

Found me a new channel. Glad to see these ponies coming back to life.
Such a classic color combo!
The first gen Shelby I would love to have is this color combo. A Wimbledon white with gold stripes 66 suits me. Guns N Roses video influence there. 😎
I am a Chevy guy, but this Saleen is clean!!
I used to be a Chevy guy too until I drove a friend's 87 back in 90. I fell in love. Took me 8 yrs to own my one.
I saw my first 89 white Saleen with gold stripes last year at Mustang week in Myrtle-Beach. It had the basket weave wheels
Bob, I LOVE these feature videos!
Awesome! Thanks!! Be sure to share with those who would like it too. 🙌
@@PuristMotorsportsI SO KICK MYSELF FOR NOT BUYING A SALEEN FOX BODY BACK IN THE DAY WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE LOL.
BUT LIKE I ALWAYS SAY I HAVE THE NEXT BEST FOX BODY MY VIBRANT RED 93 COBRA.
Simplicity. White over beige - love it!
White cars light a fire in a lot of people. But not in me. 😁
I know.....@@PuristMotorsports
Amazing car!
Words are hurtful, Bob....;-)
You’re still top notch on my list El Presidente. Even if we do disagree on color or lack there of. 😉😎
I often wonder how many Saleen's there are with under 6k miles and one owner like my dad's lol beautiful car
Careful! People will clamor to get to you and then to your Dad for that car. 😀
ahh, I know there's a guy from jersey that calls him every year asking him to sell lol@@PuristMotorsports
@NickSinko lol! Tomorrows money today. That’s what it takes sometimes. And for some, it isn’t about the $$$. Ever!
@NickSinko always seems like that’s the case. North east guys looking for rust free cars.
My dad bought this new in September of 88
He was an awesome caretaker of it. This car will only stay in collectors hands because it is so nice. Stay tuned to Bring a Trailer as fir is supposed to be auctioned off. The current owner is making some changes to their collection.
Saleens should always be white. I owned a 2000 S281 white with white wheels. Dope ride just as cool as any of the Vettes I have owned brah 👍
“Consistently Inconsistent!” I’ve memorized Bob’s quotes, lol. How can I find out about beige interior numbers? 88-049 has it on Red and curious.
Lol! I was called out on the spot and had a total brain freeze.
You’ll need to hit Saleen up for an LOA (letter of authenticity) to see the count on tan interiors.
No love for the 9L? Blasphemy! Almost all my foxbodies are white (you've seen a few of them) and that's no coincidence. Oxford White just makes the sillohette on these car just pop imho. White the vast majority of construction vehicles are white, its the color that's easiest to car for and clean. The subject car in this video is insanely clean and obviously well cared for. True time capsule. That tan interior is drop dead gorgeous.
I had to come clean bro. It’s just not my bag at all. Closest I get is silver. Which I think accents the hard lines of a fox really well. I’d be down with a Wimbledon white 66 Shelby with gold stripes. This Saleen is a close second to that. But I just don’t enjoy white on any vehicle. It’s a running joke in my circle of friends for me to comment “I see you brought the work vehicle”.
Did some 89's and 90's SALEENS have the 25 YEARS badge on the passenger side of the dash?
Yes. That was a Ford thing. My red 90 Saleen (that’s in videos on this channel) has that badge.
So what did it sell for?
A deal was made after the auction completed for the high bid price.

@PuristMotorsports well that's more then I expected. But since I got you on the line 89 with 80k miles good shape. After market radio and newer tires what would be a good starting price? I don't wanna insult the man.
@CCWFOX beauty is in the eye of the beholder there. My best recommendation is to look on BaT and Hemmings auctions and see what recent results are on cars that match the condition and mods if the one you’re looking at. It’s nearly impossible to price a car on a description alone. And I’m not one to put a value on one because it’s worth what the buyer and seller agree upon. In the Saleen world there are so many nuances that affect value. The best thing is the more original the more value there is in the car. There are exceptions to that though. Best of luck in the adventure. The journey is part of the fun.
Coyote swap on it
It’s not your client it’s your customer you do not have a fiduciary agreement with him brah 😐
