He’s a very Cool guy. I flew him, his wife, baby and babysitter from Burbank to Traverse City, MI. back in 2010. He came up to the cockpit and cracked some funny lines.. he’s exactly who he is on his tv shows. Enjoyed having him as a passenger. Cool collection Tim!!

Home improvement was the best show in its day. Got great memories from it.
I have a "toolbox" with all the DVDs sitting on a shelf nearby. The show is just as fun to watch as ever.

yes, but the Walker Porsche had old tires on it, and I think at some racetrack they improved lap-times up to 10 seconds with better and newer tires...maybe the car was ahead of the tire-technologie back in 2005 or they built it to agressivly ( chief test driver was walter roehrl )
anyway you can not compare a turbo car of this era with one of the last hand shifted NA supercars.

Tim is not only a collector he is a experienced driver of many types of automobiles and his love of power and performance along with style and history of the vehicles he owns is inspiring, I love that GTO and the COE sleeper truck I wish I could visit his collection with him and listen to some of his stories from his past and his driving experiences along with his ideas for cars that would be absolutely awesome,until then keep them shining and driving tim ! your a true car guy with passion for the hobby and that's my friends is What the true meaning of Cool is all about !

Tim Allen is one of nicest people who i have had the absolute honor of meeting. I worked for the company that put the railing around his deck in Birmingham,Michigan, That was years ago, but i will never forget that he was very down to earth and a great person to be around.

he says its a 427 but this engine is a 350ci all aluminum 4 valve per cylinder engine , 405 hp stock

@@MrMisanthrope1RBjr It's not stock at all. There are stroker cranks and "big bore" kits for these engines. It may not be a true "427ci" engine, but LT-5 413's aren't (and weren't at the time) unheard of. Either way, I doubt that car would get into the 12's with a stock LT-5 under the hood.
Edit: It's a 372ci stroker LT-5. They call it the "Binford 6100." It makes 454hp.

As a friend once said- “When you own a lot of stuff, it owns you.” My collection, 15 vehicles, is a fraction of Tim’s and I am always fixing something, but there’s never been a time, not once, when everything is operational. Tim no doubt is employing quite a few people to keep this fleet running. Good for him. I always chuckle at these voluminous displays because they illustrate how different the tastes are from person to person.
I was 16 in 1996 and wanted that Impala SS more than anything in the world. It was out of my reach back then $25k at the time. Never bought one but to this day I still drool over that car. Spotted it first of all the cars in Tim’s garage! Oh and the awesome army tank painting.

@@GerstBladeworks there were 2. The young son (Taran) bought the 2nd one from Tim when he turned 16. I still wonder what happened to that one. This one on the video was actually stolen at one point. It has a history. I drove the duplicate when I was a kid. Memories I will never forget.

I used to make deliveries to a shop on the same very small alley, and got to peer in a few times as they were moving cars around.

Thanku Mr. Allen for your tour of your auto collection, I too grew up in Detroit in the 60s and 70s, had Mustangs...cruised and " Raced" on Telegraph rd. in my era. All the local area high schools were represented on those wonderfull summer nights...Graduated from Southfield High in 1977....we actually lived out the movie " Dazed and Confused"...going to concerts at Cobo Hall, Masonic Temple, old Olympia stadium....saw the "Who" at Pontiac Silverdom....worked at machine shops as a teen, and could afford a used Mach 1 Mustang back then....an era of Americana never to be realized again, God Bless

Hats off to mr. Allen for showing us his collection. Appreciate this channel for posting it. It is a nice diversity without brand loyalty. Not to say I don't like expensive cars but my favorite was the pickup and the Studebaker sleeper.
This is a nice man cave. I'm fortunate to have three. One is a old west Saloon attached to the horse barn which looks like a livery stable. And there's a barn I no longer use. It houses my car, truck collection. None are over-the-top Restorations. Just maintained to be pretty and reliable transportation. But finding exact parts for any was never a priority. The only numbers matching vehicles are the 75 Celica Coupe. It has 34,000 miles on it. And the a 80 Dodge 1 ton Club cab, and a 79 f600 width 18 ft dumping flatbed. It is the farm truck yet it is dent and rust free. Lol
Do have a 67 Newport convertible, 68 Firebird convertible, javelin, Mustang, 76 Hilux long bed 1 ton with extended cab. when I take this truck out everyone stares and asks questions. In 78 it did a couple laps around Indianapolis Speedway during showcar week. ( that was only because when I was going to museum I got the wrong lane) lol A 80 Hilux 4 x 4 with long bed. it sits on a 7-inch superlift 40 inch tires 529 gears and a Marlin crawler. And perhaps the funnest of the group is the 76 Toyota lift back . ( The one that looks like a Mustang.)But it no longer has its 20R. Because the engine bay is somewhat long I managed to wedge a V12 from a Toyota century. 600+ HP. Yeah I like Toyotas, but there's many many more of all genre I haven't mentioned. but I have one more man cave it is my hanger. It houses a high Wing ultralight, a experimental extreme stol bush plane. Powered by a type 1 2300 fed by two AMR 500 superchargers. And a experimental 3/4 scale P-51 Mustang. Powered by a supercharged LS3. And to keep that Vibe going the 43 Willys sits in the hanger as well.
I found out decades ago you can often buy three or more decent old classics for the price of one new car. And it has been over 30 years since we've purchased a new car.
And I designed and built the airplanes myself.
