Oh thank you! I appreciate that because I put a lot of thought and effort into it and even lost my pumpkin because I forgot it outside of the Laurie house haha! I hope someone gave it a good home!
We are from the UK and had an epic road trip around California and Nevada last year. We stayed in South Pasedena specifically to see the Myers house, the Strode house and the hedge (plus some Back To The Future and Christine locations). Really enjoyed this. It brought back some good memories.
Oh I love that!! Pasadena is beautiful! I knew of the BTTF spots but didn't have the time to check them out, next time! I'm so happy it brought back good memories, thank you for watching!
Another little trivia tidbit the house that Lynda lives in (the one just prior to the hedge) was also used in the opening credits and establishing shots for the syndicated sitcom "Mama's Family" in the late 80's
We visited the Pasadena original house this year from Canada. It was around 10pm. The motion lights went on and we knew that was normal. However after we were taking photos there was numerous and loud creaks coming from the top floor and we got scared that we were going to get caught late night. However no one came to the door. There was always a light in the living room they left on. The alley next to the house is super creepy. Even though the house is in a busy intersection, once you get to the house….game over. Very freaky vibe
Great video, I saw the Doyle house last year during the H45 bus tour and they were gutting the interiors but the balcony was still intact and I had no idea they were going to gut it, glad I saw it when I did!
This was cool. These days I have to defend this movie a lot cause young people call it silly and boring which I don't understand at all but from a purely filmmaking standpoint it really was a perfect storm. Like you said, everything just worked. Which to me makes it a thing of beauty. This could've turned out really bad but instead we got art. ❤
@@kellywoodclark You’re so welcome! That’s so great. I actually went to California for my Birthday last month. I thought you would like that I got to visit Leonard Maltin and his daughter Jessie at their home during my trip. And that I got to see a cel he has from the 1938 Walt Disney Silly Symphony Mother Goose Goes Hollywood of Katharine Hepburn that is signed by her from when Mr. Maltin got to meet her!
woooooooooHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Missed you Ms Clark!! Well worth the wait BRAVA... outstanding content & film!! So glad you returned safely from the Cali adventure! TY, you are a gem.
Oh man, AWESOME video!! I've been dying to do something like this with my brother since we saw the movie back in High School. So bizarre this showed up in my YT Recommendations but I'm a new subscriber now!! I'm curious though if you received any responses from the locals while you were making your video especially since you mentioned there's a school nearby. I imagine they get a lot of curious movie fans coming around the neighborhood not just the famous "hedge spot" @ 5:42.😄😄
Haha the algorithm knew! I hope you can make a visit one day! Thanks for subscribing! I only had a few interactions. The man who owns Laurie's house came home while I was filming and he was very kind and didn't mind at all. A woman whose house is next to the hedge said hi to me, and I did meet some fellow Halloween fans at Laurie's house! I think if you live there, you've become accustomed to it haha!
I visited some of these spots back in 2013. I’ve been to the library across the street from Laurie’s a few times for concerts there. I it was so hot when I visited, it gets very warm in Pasadena. I swear I’ll buy Laurie’s house if I win the lottery.
I can't imagine how it feels to walk through these locations. I live as far as humanly possible in North America from these locations and I will most likely never see them. I would love to do a tour odf these and other iconic locations such as Back to the Future, ET, Poltergeist. These images are burned in my brain ; what life was like for kids that lived so far removed from where I grew up. Very cool vid; btw your costume is great!!! 100 degrees, those tights must have been awful.
I would like to add that I am blown away that almost 50 years later a lot of the stonework and achitectural details remain untouched; it is the same exact stonework that was present during filming all these years later. That would all have been replaced given the harsh winters where I live.
Love the original as well but my favourites would for me be a tie betwen Halloween 2 and 3. The second movie benefits from a lot of pace and energy. The third is really original and atmospheric in its own right. Maybe 3 should have been more effectively sold without any sequel title connection rather than pretending to be part of the same plot as the other films in the series?
OOO, interesting 2 or 3 are your top! I watch the 1st every year but it's been a bit since I've seen the 2nd, I do like it though! This is bad I haven't seen 3! I agree it probably would have benefited from different branding. I read they thought they'd do a different Halloween story each time they made one of the films until they realized there is no "Halloween" without Michael Myers!
Happy Halloween everybody!🎃 What is your favorite Halloween film in the franchise?? The original is definitely mine!
H2O!
@@DavidClark-hd3oyok I like that one too 😂
3 and 4 even though 3 was a step away from Micheal Myers. I still love it.
Use to have this movie on VHS was one of my favorites back in the day! 🍂🍁🎃 Thanks for the then and now tour 🔪
Great job 👏 One of my favorite movies growing up! 🎃 Happy Halloween! 👻
Thanks so much for watching and your kind words! Happy Halloween 🎃🖤
I’ve watched many of these and this is the best one I’ve seen. The clothes you’re wearing really puts you there in the present. Great job.
Wow thank you! That really means a lot - I appreciate you watching! Happy Halloween🎃🎃
This video is awesome.
I love that the tall bush is still there!
Right?! Looks exactly the same!!
@@kellywoodclark I pass the house often in south Pasadena. Glad it’s all still around.

Happy Halloween Kelly Wood Clark. I love the intro to this video. Great job.
Happy Halloween! Thank you so much for your kind words and I am so happy you enjoyed!!
I positively adore the costuming you used to complement the visuals. That takes commitment and it shows. I really love your style. Well done.

Love this video Kelly. Thank you again for taking us some cool places. Happy Halloween 🎃 ~Carli xx
