Thank you again for sharing this.
The Birds was scary, Marnie scary, Psycho was scary,
Hitchcock knew what he was doing!
Great video.. When I was in my early 20's I went to central park in nyc and sat at a place to get something to eat and there was a sign that said don't feed the pigeons, well like a fool I tossed them a small piece of bread and withing a few seconds they just kept on coming so it was now obvious that I had fed the birds I felt pretty embarrassed
Haha thanks for sharing that story!😅 Lesson learned must have been like a scene out of The Birds!! Thanks for watching!
@@kellywoodclark Oh it really was there are allot of hungry pigeons in nyc and they are used to people there must have been 60 around me in a matter of 20 seconds and I was sitting right next to the sign
KWC Productions Brava! 15k SUBS by the end of the month if not the end of WEEK~ hooray!! 🎉🎉🎉🙏🌎🎉
Thank you thank you! Let’s make that 15k the goal to hit in Jan! If we hit it before we’ll make a new goal!🙌🙌
Still gives me the chills and goosebumps.
Hitchcock knew what he was doing! 🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛
Been there ... interesting place.
That’s awesome!! It’s a pretty place!
@ One of my wife’s favorite movies so on a trip where we were going to drive up the coast from San Fran north we stopped.
A great piece of detective work, Love video quality and the scene comparisons. Keep up the good work. 🎬📽
Thanks so much for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed! 🤗🐦⬛
Great Job👍❤️
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Excellent work on this!
This was kinda cool. I never thought it was shot in California. Thank you for this.
I enjoy watching filming location videos and this is one of the best I’ve seen. One of my favorite movies and my wife and I have visited many of the sites. Thanks.
Oh thank you!! I’m so glad you enjoyed! 🤗🐦⬛
1:53 is that a cameo of Hitchcock coming out of the pet shop with the two dogs?
Sure is!!
Outstanding!
My wife and I really enjoy your videos! It's clear you put a lot of effort into making them both entertaining and engaging, and it truly shows. By the way, another one of Hitchcock's films, Shadow of a Doubt, was shot nearby in Santa Rosa.
Thank you for your kind words and for watching!! I’m really happy to hear that because I do put a lot of thought and effort into them! I had heard about that! I may need to make a trip! 🤗
I found out many years later after she passed that my friend's aunt was Edith Head.
I went to that church last year for a funeral. I think Ronald Reagan was married there. Jimmy Stewart was a general in the USAF with several combat missions. His stepson was killed in Viet Nam in an ambush and buried next to him.
🙏🌎🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉💕
🤗🤗🐦⬛🐦⬛🤗
It is in the town of Bodega. It is inland and Bodega Bay is on the coast.
Yup! In the movie they called it the Bodega Bay school when in reality it’s some miles from bodega bay in the city of Bodega. I mentioned that in the long form video 😊
@@kellywoodclark Sergei Eisenstein Russian Filmmaker created the idea of various locations and making it one place. Hitchcock practiced that. I live in Sonoma County and when you go to the coast out of Sebastopol that school house is s regular icon.
Your research is pretty darn cool. Thank you!!!! I grew up here. So cool to see the Gower reference. I never put those two together!!!
Very informative presentation. Would you consider doing a video on one of my favorite movies, "Paper Moon". How about a comment or two from Tatum O'Neal. Just a suggestion to an already great program. Keep up the good work !
Thank you! You know I can’t say I know much about Paper Moon outside of the great TCM podcast The Plot Thickens where they interview Peter Bogdanovich. I reccomend it! 😊
Yes! One of my favorite movies.
Love this podcast and have to say you are a beautiful lady!
I love your retro wardrobe!!! I'd like to see it come back...
Awesome, great work. 👍
Thank you so much I’m glad you enjoyed!🐦⬛
There's a mysterious woman taking pictures, here and there. She lives her life like a film noir. She's a photographer, a screen writer, actress, editor, and director. She knows how to dress, move, and act. She looks like someone, we all know, but yet she is a stranger. She'll ask you for help, she's in some sort of dilemma, she'll get you involved if you're not careful. Yes, she's irresistible, yet keeps her distance. She is the very one you should avoid...she is a Femme Fatale. She's none other than the low key, well mannered, KWClark💜😊
Ooooo look at you! Are you a writer?? I love it!!🖤
@@kellywoodclarkJust a lover of noir. I think you should also do movie reviews. Can't film all the locations, you've done a great job so far. Too many great movies to name, but. Let's stick with Hitchcock for now. Rebecca, Notorious, Suspicion, Rope, Marnie. Fun to deep dive these films. Hollywood. Where the greatest Stars were made. Most had talent, others were simply Beautiful. It's all on 🎥 film. We are a lucky generation...to be able to look back and see most everything from D.W.Griffith, Garbo, and all. Great comedians Lloyd, Keaton, Chaplin, funny girls Thelma Todd, Zasu, Patsy Kelly, and Pickford. Lights Camera Action🤣💜
You put a lot of work into what you do and it shows in the final product, (with a little help from your husband) The black and white shots are what I would prefer, having said that they are all very good. All the best. From Southampton UK
👏👏👏♥️♥️♥️
🤗🐦⬛🤗
I think he deserved a far bigger gravestone than this.
When I read of Jimmy Stewart's wartime heroism as a WWII bomber pilot, it completely blew me away. I believe that he was still actually suffering the effects of PTSD (or "shell shock" as they called it then) when he did this film. I would imagine that even some of his acting in the more dramatic scenes may have even been directly influenced by some of the actual horrors he experienced in that war. Just look at his expression when he noticed his home missing. You can actually see the pain and terror in his eyes. Please people, END ALL WARS.
I'm from England and have only visited California once back in 2015. However, I had a chance to go to Point Reyes lighthouse where 'The Fog' was filmed and yes it was foggy that day. The scenery on this film looks very similar if I remember rightly, it must be in a similar area or nearby. I wish I had known then. Thanks for showing this, great video!
Oh I love The Fog! The lighthouse is on my list to go to! The two spots are about 90 minutes apart. Thanks for watching!
So cool, thank you! Fun stuff. I worked in bird conservation for a well known organization for 15 years. You'd be amazed (or maybe not) how many people have a fear of birds thanks to this film. I was a bird nerd kid and loved it when I first saw it.
My pleasure thanks for watching! It’s funny how a fictional film can impact people’s feelings so much! Same thing happened with Jaws. Personally I love birds 🥰🐦⬛
So nice to see a woman doing location videos. I do them myself but post on Facebook, no youtube
I noticed less women doing them so nice to hear you do them as well! Do you do classic film spots too??
Great video….thanks!
Thanks for watching!!
I lived very close to Potter School House. It changed that community for years. In a good way. From Key West Florida. 66° in the keys on 6 day of January 2025.
It really is a special place! Thanks for sharing your local memories!
Legendary movie love this locations, school 👍😉,
🤗🐦⬛🤗
@kellywoodclark yes :)great movie 👍😉🤗
Kelly new too your brilliant channel..bravo.
Hello and welcome! Happy you’re here and thank you for watching! 🤗🐦⬛
These are just so fascinating and entertaining to watch . Please keep doing more ❤
Oh yay Michael so glad you enjoy! More to come!
ive read thaT the fire scene was filmed in capitola
Very well done. Your editing is first rate.
Oh thank you!! I spent a long time on it so I appreciate that 😅😆
@@kellywoodclark It's easy to see that you know what you're doing and that makes viewing a much better experience. I've loved this film and especially the locations Hitch used. Very cool.
@@Jerryjohnson-i4g makes me happy to hear that! I’ve been a photographer for 15ish years so I parlayed that knowledge into video 🤗
The school that was featured in ‘The Birds’ very cool
Hi Kelly from Scotland. The Birds is my absolute favourite Hitchcock film. It was made the year I was born so ive grown up on it. I have desperately wanted to visit "Bodega Bay" all my life but alas, being a wee skint scottish woman, its unlikely so your video was brilliant. I loved seeing the place , even if a lot of it was mock ups. Keep up the good work. Thanks
Hello! Thanks so much for watching and that makes me very happy that in some small way this was able to bring bodega bay to you! ☺️🐦⬛
Oh yeah. Let's do this 🍿🍿
Haha yesss hope you enjoy!🐦⬛✨🐦⬛
@kellywoodclark I did. Love that movie. Nice work nice editing.
I love the esthetic of your channel, keep it classic, there’s an audience for this kind of stuff
Thank you so much!! Classic is my wheelhouse so plenty more to come! 🤗🐦⬛
I visited Bodega Bay about 5 years ago and really enjoyed seeing the film locations and the familiar buildings and surroundings! Great video thanks
So cool you went in person too! Thank you and thanks for watching!!🤗🤗
I love this movie, and this was so cool! Thank you for sharing it Our family and 2 others went camping in Bodega By when I was in High School it was so nice!
Yay thank you for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed!! It’s a beautiful area!🥰
I believe that I would be more terrified in having those avians "dropping" their bombs upon me (as has happened...feathered friends indeed), similar to what occurred to Mel Brooks' character in his Hitchcock-homage, "High Anxiety". (Are you aware that the very same bird trainer, Ray Berwick, lent his talents on both of those films?)
Craig!!!! 👋👋 Haha ya I’m with you on the real terror is the potential splat you may be a victim of haha! I didn’t know that and I actually didn’t know about that film either. Fun fact!! Do you know anything about who the bird trainer was on Its a Wonderful Life??
Nice selection of your wearing a green outfit for your trip to Bodega Bay, in order to resemble Tippy Hedren's wardrobe. I always thought that's what they did with Melanie Griffin's wardrobe in her film "Working Girl". As an SF Bay Area resident, I've visited Bodega and Bodega Bay a couple of times. There are a number of Hitchcock filming locations in the SF Bay Area, since he was a resident of Scotts Valley, near Santa Cruz.
Yessss thank you for noticing!💚 I haven’t seen working girl but I’m sure her costume resembled Tippie it was no accident! I have another Hitch SF filming locations coming soon! 😵💫
Thank you for your video. For those who are unaware, @ 1:56 in 1963 the fare on a San Francisco Cable Car cost 15 cents. Today in 2025, the fare now costs $8.00. @ 2:31 is the Saint Francis Hotel on 335 Powell Street. @ 9:00 the conflagration accidentally started, because the putz was smoking his cigarette near a running gasoline pump which is very dangerous to do.
Thanks for sharing this info!
I read the book, a short story by the woman Daphne du Maurier first before seeing the movie when I was a kid. The movie looked fake, it didn't have half the horror of the book. Trust me. There was a really bad ass bird that adds to the horror in the book they totally ignore in the film. Good job here. Youraudio is stuck hard left channel though - see about panning to right or making it mono otherwise 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hey thanks for your comment! I want to read the short story! I read Hitchcock specifically didn’t want any menacing type of birds so maybe that’s the reason for the change. And thanks for the audio note I am the first to admit audio is not my forte so I don’t actually know what all you said means 😅 but I’ll look into it!🤗🤗
@@kellywoodclark It's a quick read, you'll like it. You have such a nice voice it's just a shame it's mostly coming out left channel. Somebody should be able to help you press the right button LOL. Note the snippet of music at beginning comes out both spkrs in stereo so... We need to get you a producer - I live here in Hollywood I'll see if Steve ( the Spiel) is available, lol. Good stuff though, cheers 👍🏻
Haha thank you! Oooo how I’d love a producer and someone to do the audio 😅 but I appreciate the note and will see what I can do until Steven or his buddies are free to come lend a hand 😂
