I made this today, just finished eating it. I've never had savory oats before so I didn't know what to expect but, I wanted to try something different. It was so satisfying and delicious. I feel so satiated and, not sure if it's because of all the spices but I feel really energized - like how I feel after having a cup of coffee!! Thank you so much sharing this recipe!!
Davine Hill thank you so much for your kind comment. Reading your feedback just made my day. I hope you will take a moment to subscribe to my RUclips and enjoy other videos. 🙏
Have to say this is my new favorite breakfast choice, after a couple years of being primarily a tofu scramble person. I veganize it, of course, by replacing the ghee with oil, but otherwise follow the instructions to the letter. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks ❤❤❤❤ I have intuitively making savoury porridge for years but not easy to find recipes This one seems to have it all I found cooked oats a bit heavier than dry like crackers but at the same time love the idea of warming spices and veg on it We live in Scotland so even in summer I prefer using warming spices to keep my digestive fire going ( weather is too damp also) Many thanks to you❤❤❤
That looks so good. I used to buy a lot of instant masala oats porridge sachets. Those are convenient and tasty but this is better with fresh veggies. Never thought of putting kale in oats porridge, this is a swell idea.
This is wonderful. I realized that I don't do well with sweet in the morning but it was difficult for me to imagine breakfast dishes that were quick but savory. Usually I then only think of animal-foods for breakfast (like bacon & eggs).
Wonderful! I completely agree.....starting the day with good oats, but completely mitigating its value by always making it a sweetened dish puts me off. Your savory recipe is good for dinner time too.....as oats also helps restful sleep. Thank you for taking the initiative to break the sweet mould.
Thank you Sapna for this amazing idea. I tried it yesterday and I loved it. I've always wanted to eat oats but never really enjoyed it as a sweet dish. This was wonderful. I have a new favourite breakfast. Stay Blessed!! :-)
Yay!! So glad to hear. I can't start my day with sweet breakfast and cannot eat sweet oats. I am so glad you tried this recipe and enjoyed it. Please subscribe to the channel and hope you enjoy other videos as well. Namaste

Emma Schofield, me neither. I cannot start my morning with a sweet breakfast. Thank you so much for enjoying the recipe. This should be enough for 2 servings. Enjoy!
Just as an idea, chopped dates, ripe banana, and walnuts are a wonderful oat combination, nutrient dense and very filling. A sweet dish does not necessarily need a sweetener like sugar, maple syrup, jaggery, or honey.
Ahh!! I will include that in my next video. Thank you for that. In the meantime, Oats reduces vata, pitta and can elevate kapha. If you dry roast oats before cooking it can reduce kapha aggravation. Hope this helps. Namaste.

I live in the US so I must avoid corn, and I’m such a small fan of oats but I do want to try this thank you for sharing. Namaste!
Jolly Rotten why do you avoid corn in the US?
Monsanto has genetically modified corn to the point that it’s more harmful than nutritious.
That looks incredible 😍🙏🏽😃✨🔥✅ Ayurveda approved is even better

Where can we get the recipe?
Could I use steel-cut oats?
Absolutely. The texture may be a bit different but go for it.
How many servings?
🙏 do we add salt ?
Yes. As per your taste. If you see the video, I add it after all the vegetables are added.
Which dosh peaple take this
This is a great dish for all doshas. The veggies can be adjusted depending on seasons and on doshas.
Looks great but I need some onion, lol
You should have tell oats are good for which prakruthi

Khichardi oats
Who eats spicy food for morning breakfast? Only indians ig.
In ayurvedic ancient Indians never ate oats...oats are for horses, Western companies market and promote for their business never get fooled
Yes, Big Pharma, Big Oil, and now Big Oat
Too much iron for men.
I hate beans and peas and GMO corn.
