    I made this today, just finished eating it. I've never had savory oats before so I didn't know what to expect but, I wanted to try something different. It was so satisfying and delicious. I feel so satiated and, not sure if it's because of all the spices but I feel really energized - like how I feel after having a cup of coffee!! Thank you so much sharing this recipe!!

    Have to say this is my new favorite breakfast choice, after a couple years of being primarily a tofu scramble person. I veganize it, of course, by replacing the ghee with oil, but otherwise follow the instructions to the letter. Thanks for sharing!

    savory > sweet. Much healthier! I would do the carrots first so they can soften more.

    Thanks ❤❤❤❤ I have intuitively making savoury porridge for years but not easy to find recipes
    This one seems to have it all
    I found cooked oats a bit heavier than dry like crackers but at the same time love the idea of warming spices and veg on it
    We live in Scotland so even in summer I prefer using warming spices to keep my digestive fire going ( weather is too damp also)
    Many thanks to you❤❤❤

    That looks so good. I used to buy a lot of instant masala oats porridge sachets. Those are convenient and tasty but this is better with fresh veggies. Never thought of putting kale in oats porridge, this is a swell idea.

    This is wonderful. I realized that I don't do well with sweet in the morning but it was difficult for me to imagine breakfast dishes that were quick but savory. Usually I then only think of animal-foods for breakfast (like bacon & eggs).

    Wonderful! I completely agree.....starting the day with good oats, but completely mitigating its value by always making it a sweetened dish puts me off. Your savory recipe is good for dinner time too.....as oats also helps restful sleep. Thank you for taking the initiative to break the sweet mould.

      Monsanto has genetically modified corn to the point that it’s more harmful than nutritious.

    Just as an idea, chopped dates, ripe banana, and walnuts are a wonderful oat combination, nutrient dense and very filling. A sweet dish does not necessarily need a sweetener like sugar, maple syrup, jaggery, or honey.

    • @BeSpiced
      @BeSpiced  5 лет назад

      Ahh!! I will include that in my next video. Thank you for that. In the meantime, Oats reduces vata, pitta and can elevate kapha. If you dry roast oats before cooking it can reduce kapha aggravation. Hope this helps. Namaste.
